Alfie paused for a while more while Rowena spoke. She was acting quite dramatic, in his opinion, though admittedly, Alfie who used to be a perpetual liar; had a penchant for theatrics. So that may have been more his fault than hers. Or perhaps it was merely a lapse in communication. At any rate, it did not seem a particularly strong start to their start as parents. Indeed, Alfie would have to rush all of his current plots now so that they could wed before the baby arrives. Alfie could tell by their language that the two ladies before him saw him as the dodgy sort, he was quite insulted. Guilty of multiple crimes, certainly. But anguished at the more serious of his past actions. It was just then that he realized he'd been garnering a reputation, despite his real intentions. He knew now what all the dark wizards he had beaten and kept in check had meant. Rumours were aplenty of Alfie's misdeeds. A good many of them true. But the worst of them really was the incident with the Peverells and the sundering of his first family(to which he was only partially involved) and the men who had lead these events to ruin were now dead. At least, Alfie thought they were.
Alfie looked from Rowena to Helena, the silence from the latter seemed very accusing. To him, at least. He lowered his head slowly, letting shadow draw over his face. Alfie drew his cloak around him and shook his head as he turned back to Rowena. "I did to my son, only what my father ordered me to. That was when he finally got what he had wanted all the years prior; control over his only son. He knew even then that the boy would represent a light from my past. That if I had kept him my own, I would have risen back into the light. All those years, I thought I was doing good. Keeping my father's deviance out of the public's eye. Searching for the three relics. It wasn't until after his death, that I realized that my men saw me as their own Dark Lord. It was then that I allowed them to get ambushed again and again. By a Malfoy and a Peverell. Until the last five died in Hogsmeade four months ago. They were more loyal to my father. Or rather, how my father wanted me to be." Alfie sighed heavily and pulled his hood over his head. "You see, the Elder Wand is not a toy. I must find out who has it, where it is and how to pass it to worthy hands. As master of the Elder Wand, that is my duty. I cannot rest without completing this duty. On top of that, you've both seen that my father is alive and well. And that he has considerable control over me. You do not know him, he will not just kill you; he will play with you until you break and once you've become useless, he'll kill you. I've seen it happen to many women and Veela." Alfie looked away from the two Ravenclaw. He made a snort and continued at a whisper, "To girls as young as your daughter."
Alfie turned toward the door and opened it. He wanted to leave, but his feet wanted to stay. He would have been lying to say that he did not wish to stay with Rowena. She could protect his heart from injury, it seemed. "I will be back in two nights. To pay a visit to Morgana.I think we could find many answers there." Alfie pushed open the door and fled before Rowena could stop him. His memory came back as he chose his next destination. He would go to see Davian, who might shed light on how his father had survived. Alfie would undoubtedly require the ressurection stone for what he planned to do next. Though if he was strong enough to sacrifice himself, that Hallow wouldn't be necessary. The cloak and the three Peverell children would have to wait.
