Henry Cozart was lying on his dorm bed when he suddenly felt the symptoms of his rare illness strike him again. Besides regarding the symptoms as a sign of his incoming transformation, he had very little information regarding the disease. He did not even know what it is called. All he knew was that the disease itself was really unpleasant. Finally after tossing and turning on his bed, Cozart could not take it any longer. He got up slowly from the bed and dressed himself up in a white shirt and black slacks, a unusual deviation from his usual all black attire. He then laced up his boots and he was good to go. He then checked himself one last time in the mirror then he strode out of his dorm room and outside the common room.
As he was walking, he then thought of who could he approach in order to answer his questions. He then thought of researching in the library but the act was rather tedious in his part. He then decided that the best person to ask would be the founder of the Ravenclaw House, none other than Rowena Ravenclaw herself. She would definitely have the answers to his endless list of questions. After a few minutes, he made it outside to the door of her office. He was then contemplating on knocking when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching. He then stopped and assumed his standing position by the door.

Prudence, for about the tenth time that week woke up with a start. She had another one of her recurring nightmares. As a seer new to the craft, she could not help but be confused with it all. Dreams and visions were so much alike and Prudence found herself desperate with the need to know… things… especially with everything that was at stake. Her life, Alaric’s and Justin’s, she knew she could not just simply allow herself to commit a mistake in her interpretations. That is, if her dreams were something she should interpret at all. She suspected that it all came from her scared subconscious mind.
After making herself presentable enough by combing her hair, fixing her jeans and plain white collared blouse and convincing herself that professors were there to help their students for about ten minutes, she stepped out of the Ravenclaw dormitory to start her walk toward the head of her house’s office. Prudence normally handled her issues on her own but for the first time in her life, she felt like she needed a responsible adult’s help. Rowena Ravenclaw was the best option. She was not only the head of her house, she was also known for her wisdom. After a few moments, a very nervous and shy Prudence stood in front of the door that separated Rowena Ravenclaw’s office from the rest of the school together with an incredibly tall and intimidating male student that she did not know. She looked up and smiled at him shyly before mustering up all her courage to raise her right fist and gently knock on the door three times.

As the sound of footsteps was fast approaching him, he could not help but be wary of who it might be. Last time he heard, the founder's latest set of visitors have tried to poison her or harm her at the very least. Then suddenly, his keen sense of smell picked up a very pleasant scent, probably a female student. His suspicion was then confirmed when the girl came into view. Judging from her expression, she also came to seek answers for herself too.
Henry could not help but smile back at her as she smiled shyly on him. He could see that she was really beautiful but he could deduce that her heart was already set for somebody else. He just watched her knock on the door three times. After which, he then said, "You seem to have questions of your own too." He then smiled and offered his hand to her. "Don't get intimidated by me, I'm not really like that. My name is Henry Cozart and I'm a seventh year Gryffindor," he then added. He knew that he really did look intimidating but that wasn't exactly the case for him.

Prudence heard her own gentle knock and wondered if the founder heard it from where she was situated inside the room. Prudence considered repeating her knock to make it louder but decided to wait for a few minutes to pass before she tried her luck again. Prudence shifted her weight from her left to her right, feeling the heavy gaze of the intimidating guy beside her. Why was he staring? Did she have something on her face?
Prudence was not surprised that he was able to guess her motivation. She had always been easy to read. She just looked up and nodded sheepishly, feeling like a dwarf next to a burly giant. As she got a closer look at him, she realized how muscular he was. Most certainly capable of crumpling me like Japanese paper. She cringed at the thought. When he commented about her being intimidated, she blushed. “My name is Prue.” She said in a voice so soft she had a hard time hearing herself. She blushed even more and cleared her throat. “I’m Prue, Prudence Campbell. Sixth year Ravenclaw.” She said awkwardly, and shook his hand gingerly as if she was afraid to break him. She felt her cheeks grow even hotter as she realized that her intimidation caused her to give him wrong information about herself. She then focused on the door and prayed to the high heavens for the founder to open the door already.

Rowena Ravenclaw had always considered the paperwork boring, but necessary part of her job. For some reason she was always the one who had to deal with it, whether she liked it or not. In moments like that, she wished they had hired a Headmaster who would send and receive letters and deal with parents. Perhaps then she would finally have enough time to grade papers and plan her classes and perhaps even to solve some personal problems of hers.
It was getting late. Rowena put her quill on the desk and rubbed her temples, too tired to concentrate on the work. There were still so many things to be done and even magic couldn't help her read all the letters. Parents wrote to their children, children wrote back to their parents and then the parents wrote to her. She hadn't written to her parents for years. She could do it in the morning... Rowena leaned back on her chair and closed her eyes. She must have fallen asleep and dreamed about something. When someone knocked on her door, Rowena opened her eyes. She rubbed her eyes, remembering that she was still in her office and that there was someone who needed her help. Her wand was lying on the desk. She placed her hand over it, just in case she needed it. If her visitor was someone who wanted to poison her, she wouldn't hesitate to curse him. "Come in!" she called, looking at the door.

Henry smiled as Prue shook his hand, rather gingerly as though she was afraid that he might grab and break her at any moment. "Pleased to meet you Prue," he said pleasantly. He knew that she still felt rather afraid of him. He wanted to assure her that he wasn't the type who could harm anyone but his striking physical features and demeanor screamed the opposite. He just kept silent as he eyed the doorway.
Finally, after a few minutes of silence, he then heard the unmistakable sound of the founder telling them to come in. He then stepped forward and held the doorknob. "Allow me to open the door for you," he said, as he turned the doorknob. The door swung open, allowing him to see the founder of Ravenclaw house in full view. His eyes then darted from her face to her hand, which was placed over her own wand. "I'm sorry for the intrusion, Madam Ravenclaw. I didn't mean to disturb your work ma'am," he then said politely. He knew that she must have done it as a defense mechanism of sorts; after all there have been threats on her life. Cozart then beckoned Prue to come in as well.

Prudence smiled at him and nodded. “It’s nice to meet you too, Henry.” She said shyly before gently letting go of his hand, not wanting to provoke him or something. She was alone with him and if ever he got mad and decided to crumple her like he would a used Japanese paper, no one would be able to save her. Not even Justin who ensured her safety. Justin Law was probably snoring all the way down the Slytherin dormitory at that moment.
Prudence could not be happier when she heard the familiar voice of the founder commanding them to step in. It meant the end of her extremely uncomfortable alone time with Henry. Prudence nodded at Henry’s request, not daring to go against him. She was not surprised to see how the founder received late night guests like them. A lot of people had been trying to murder the founder of Ravenclaw house. “Good evening Professor.” Prudence greeted politely, nodding slightly toward Rowena as she stepped in to her office.

Rowena sighed with relief when she realised that her visitors were simply two insomniac students. One of them was Prudence Campbell, a fifth year student from her house. The other one was Henry Cozart, a student from Gryffindor house. Rowena was rather surprised that a pair of students came to visit her at such a late hour and even more shocked that one of them was actually a Gryffindor. However, students from other houses often came to ask her help or advice.
Rowena noticed that their eyes were focused on her wand, so she quickly moved her hand and gave them a warm welcoming smile. "Good evening." she said and gestured towards the seats by her desk. "Please, sit down." Rowena was acting as if they came to meet her during the tea-time and not in the middle of the night. "Not at all, mister Cozart, you didn't disturb me." She spoke to Henry and shook her head slightly. She looked from Henry to Prue and back. "Now, what brings you here at such a late hour? I hope there aren't any problems?" she asked gently.

Henry nodded, relieved to know that he didn't manage to disturb the founder in her work. "Thank you very much, I really thought I was disturbing you," he managed to say before sinking into his seat. He then observed the founder's expression and it was apparent that she seemed surprised to see him, knowing that he was from a different house. He then beckoned Prue to sit on the chair opposite him.
Henry linked his hands together in deep concentration before he spoke. "There aren't really any problems, but I just want to ask you something...about my affliction," he then said. "I think you already have an idea of what I really am so I guess it wouldn't be really difficult. I always have these unpleasant symptoms whenever a particular day of the month comes. This usually leaves me weakened greatly. And after that particular day ends, it strikes again, almost like a fever of sorts," he then added, suddenly aware that Prue doesn't have an idea on his true identity. He was having difficulty explaining his predicament because he did not want Prue to be scared of him. "Do you have an idea on what my disease really is?" he then asked hopefully.

Prudence returned the founder’s welcoming smile by smiling warmly back. Not used to seeing professors outside their respective classrooms, Prudence really did not know what to say next. For the first time, she was glad that Henry was there. At least there was someone who would do the talking. As she sat down gracefully, she sort of panicked since she really did not know what to say to the founder. Prudence had the urge to curse herself for not coming prepared.
Prudence sighed in relief when Henry started talking. However, his words landed on her ears like a riddle. It happens every month. His disease makes him uncomfortable… she was still in the middle of analyzing when Henry asked her what the answer was. She blurted out “Premenstrual syndrome.” without thinking and blushed at how stupid she must have sounded. Was PMS even a disease? At that very moment, she wanted to run out of the founder’s office. “Professor, thank you for still accommodating us despite the time of our visit. We apologize for waking you up. I came to ask about dreams and visions if that's okay.” She said awkwardly after a few moments.

Rowena's dark eyes followed Henry's movements and she turned her attention to Prue when he sat down across from her. "No problem at all." she repeated, looking back at Henry. It was quite refreshing to help solving someone else's problems without thinking about your own. Rowena listened to his words and nodded her head. She had already spoken about him with Godric, so she knew what symptoms he was talking about. Unfortunately, Henry's illness or condition couldn't be changed or cured. Rowena was about to answer his question, when Prue suddenly blurted out probably the wrongest answer possible.
Rowena looked at the girl, trying to keep a straight face. "I'm afraid that the answer would be a bit more complexed than your suggestion, miss Campbell." she said gently, amused with Prue's reaction and blushing. "That is not a problem at all." she spoke to Prue. "And you haven't woken me up." she lied, feeling grateful that they had woken her up. Sleeping meant dreaming and dreaming usually meant night-mares. Rowena just nodded her head. "Yes, that's alright. Have you been woken up by a vision?" she asked and turned to Henry again. She didn't know if he wanted Prue to know about his secret, so she decided not to say anything directly. "Your disease... or condition is called lycantrophy." she slowly started. "Unfortunately it can't be cured or treated with a potion or any kind of a spell. How long have you... hmm... had it?" she asked a bit awkwardly.

Henry could not help but feel very anxious about what the founder might say about his disease. After all, it was really unusual and that not everyone he knows had it. He was about to open his mouth to say something when suddenly Prue blurted out something that he was definitely unfamiliar with. Judging from the founder's expression, it was something that was indeed very exclusive to the opposite gender. He just kept quiet and smiled.
When he then heard that Prue wanted to talk to her about dreams and visions, he could not help but be fascinated. It seemed like she was a seer, at the proper sense of the word. However, his primary concern right now was whether he would have to drop the hint about his true identity. And his face fell as he now heard straight from the founder what disease he had. Lycantrophy was indeed a new term for him and what caught his attention was the fact that the disease was incurable, no matter what intervention they might use. "Thank you very much, I understand the circumstances. I've had the disease since I was thirteen years of age. Kind of figured out that I would have to live with it for the rest of my life," he then said, nodding fervently at the founder.

The moment she blurted it out without thinking, she knew it was wrong. Henry was not female, unless he was in disguise or something. Prudence discretely eyed him and decided that he definitely did not look female…Upon seeing the look on the founder’s face, Prudence felt relieved. At least one out the two people in the room did not get angry. And when Henry reacted the way she did, Prudence could not help but be glad that she did not end up on one of the corners of the room, crumpled like Japanese paper. Suddenly, she wondered why she was afraid of Henry. Then it all clicked, he looked like the murdered in Knockturn Alley… from his height to the shape of his face to his muscles. The resemblance had been so striking that her subconscious recognized it first before she even realized it herself.
Prudence smiled at the founder, glad that the founder was still awake when they came and that she found their rather late visit and their asking questions alright. “No? Umm Yes? I don’t know professor.” Prudence sighed. This was exactly why she decided to seek the wisest of the four founders in the middle of the night. She could ask her parents about it but she did not want them finding out about… everything. “I’ve been feeling a bit paranoid lately and have already made a few mistakes in my… um craft. I’ve been thinking that my ability is being clouded by fear and anxiousness. Professor, how would I know if it’s a vision or a nightmare?” She asked the professor. Prudence was so wrapped up in world that she did not notice what the two were saying. However, she stiffened when she heard the word ‘Lycantrophy’. Her gaze landed at the student in front of her. Suddenly all of the words he said before made sense and Prudence remained silent.

Rowena leaned forward in her seat, her gaze still focused on Henry. Rowena frowned, wondering if she had made a mistake by saying so quickly and openly that his illness couldn't be cured. She didn't think that she should have lied, perhaps just say something less direct and come to the point eventually. However, it was no good crying over spilt potion. Rowena just shrugged. "I am sorry that I couldn't bring you better news. Consider your condition a gift, rather than a disease." Rowena gave him a small smile, before turning her attention back to Prue.
Rowena looked at Prue with a small smile on her lips. She just nodded her head in response when the fifth year spoke. "I see." she said. Rowena sighed looking at Prue. She didn't possess any kinds of special gifts, other than a great memory and the ability to memorize nearly anything. However, it wasn't a magical gift. Rowena believed that true seers are rare and that there were many more who simply pretended that they could see the future. However, she believed that Prue could be put in the first group. Rowena just shrugged, looking at Prue. "That is something that you'll learn yourself, my dear, as time goes by. There is a possibility that fear or fatigue may have affected your ability. It's just another thing that you'll have to learn to deal with. However, it happens to older, more experienced witches and wizards, too, so there is nothing to worry about." Rowena smiled, looking from Prue to Henry and back.

Henry merely nodded at the founder's words, thankful that at least he already had an idea on what the disease was. He already anticipated what she was going to say about it because it was almost six years since he first got the sickness. "I understand. I never expected better news though. It's been so long. I can't thank you enough for supplying me with the information I need," he then said, bowing fervently to Madam Ravenclaw.
As he listened to Prue and Rowena's conversation, he understood that she was having visions about certain events. However, he then pondered on what he was going to do about his estranged family, whom he haven't seen for five years. With everything in tow, he realized that he would be more than ready to start his quest of searching for their whereabouts. And his brother...has become unstable before he disappeared. He was worried about what could have happened to his older brother. "Professor, I would like to ask for your consent. I would like to drop from attending school," he then said finally, after minutes of contemplating his decision. He knew that it was the best choice for the moment.
