Helena regarded the boy she could barely see at that time and laughed freely upon hearing what he had to say about his very own busy mother. “And you obviously have met mine… unless you have this neat ability of describing someone you never even met so perfectly accurate.” Helena said lightly, her smile apparent in her tone. “Oh, of course you’ve met my mother.” Helena hit her forehead with her hand. It was silly of her to claim that he haven’t met her mother when he was certainly one of her mother’s pupils at present.
Helena smiled and nodded at the boy. The truth was, Helena was kind of surprised that she found herself listening to the boy she did not even know. Maybe it was because there was something familiar about him. It certainly wasn’t his face since she could not see him well due to poor lighting. It was his presence, she realized. His presence made her feel… comfortable, at home. “I really hope so.” She saw something white flash and realized that he was trying to reassure her with a smile. At this, she could not help but smile back. “Well, there’s nothing wrong with hoping. When it comes to these things, all we can do is hope.” Helena smiled at the boy. “It’s nice talking to you, you know. We seem to have a lot in common.” Helena said without thinking, feeling drawn to the boy. There was something familiar about the feeling too. It was the way she felt when she first spoke to Justin Law. She was possibly starting to fall for the boy, Helena realized.
