Protego(students)

Class was begun. A select few troublemakers were late to arrive and were now barred entry. The door informed them to proceed to detention and distributed extra homework assignment which would earn a detention if either it or previous/normal homework was not completed by the next day.

Natalie wore her plain, black cotton robes. Her hair was loose and hung on either side of her shoulders. She stood stern, having removed her desk from the room. The walls of the room were covered in information on the Protego spell. It's limits and purpose. Natalie looked from one student to the next with suspiscion. She did not like the look of many of them. Especially the Slytherins. She was addressing the fourth years and lower at the moment. "The Protego spell. The walls inform about it. Write them as notes for yourself. Leave out details at your own risk. Not knowing this spell's abilities sets you at an immediate disadvantage. Once your notes are done, you will inform me and we will test the knowledge you gained with a real world example. If you are not tested today, your test will be done tomorrow(notes or not) and you will recieve extra homework to be handed in tomorrow. Incompetence or immaturity of any kind will not be tolerated. And is punishable by homework and/or detention. To work."

Natalie walked over to a secluded area with no wall-scribblings and addressed the fifth, sixth and seventh years waiting there. "Practice Protego upon one another. Test administers are only to cast Stupefy. Test takers are not to rebound any spells. I will come amongst you randomly to judge your abilities myself. To work. Now."

Lesuth was a bit concerned at the start of class. He thought the new Professor was mad, having the walls covered in ink. The room looked like some dark ritual was being used, to be honest. Regardless, Lesuth had already mastered Protego. He had to defend himself with it three times just walking to class. He didn't mind the lesson however, one could never attain enough practice. "Protego!" Lesuth boomed loudly and proudly as one of his friends tried to blast him with a silent, stunning spell. Lesuth could not read minds, but body language spoke to him clearly. He smirked and dropped this shield. Another spell struck him in the face as his shield fell. Lesuth fell backward onto the floor, stunned in place.

Cole nearly fell to the ground in laughter as he stunned Lesuth. Lesuth's Gryffindor friends' faces were confused and amused Cole very much. Cole kept howling and it soon drew their attention. He turned his back to them and grabbed one of his own Slytherin cronies to keep himself standing. "Keep on your guard, Head boy!" Cole looked back at Lesuth as he taunted Lesuth then turned toward his Slytherin circle of friends. The Professor was barking mad. Cole was determined to make this lesson fail for her. Perhaps they could get rid of Defence Against the Dark Arts altogether if they had no Professor.

"Only to cast Stupefy.. that mudblood." He thought as he sighed, casting a stupefy on one of the students, that student using the protego spell, but he so wanted to cast something else, maybe a forbidden spell, or casting it without the wand, he trained a lot for that, he sighed calmly. "What happens when our enemies attack ma'am, are we simply to use the protego when we will be outnumbered, what then? Can't we use more dangerous spells.. just saying, we all need real practice for the outside world." Viktor said, he wanted a war though, a war against her own kind, to purge them since it was needed. He just sighed again as he cast another stupefy, this time fast enough to hit the student.

Dimitri helped Lesuth, by casting the spell that would release him from being stunned then holding out his hand to pull him up. He stood, and grabbed one of his friends for a partner, "Protego" he called as his partner, tried to stun him, and he did the same for his partner. Only this time he was casting "Stupefy". Dimitri, sighed and rolled his eyes at the slytherins behavior. He ran a hand through his dark ginger hair. He leant against a table, still on guard just in case a wandering stupefy came his way.
