Alfie raised an eyebrow at Rowena as she spoke. He had his secrets. He knew she'd feel differently if she knew them. But that was why she didn't need to know them. Alfie drew a deep breath and stood up from the seat. He had been certain Rowena would see reason. Even if she did know his secrets, there was no denying that his plan was the best plan for the future. At the moment, Alfie was still concerned that Rowena hadn't taken the wand though. She would help him however. And that was what was most important.
"I am certain that Salazar has no idea of how close the wand is to him. There are others however, that have been seeking it for long now. I myself, sought the second Hallow for myself. I have not been able to find it. All the leads I had were nothing or looted before I arrived. Two men will come here. They are dangerous, Mr. Kite. A black magic specialist. He is ruthless in a duel. The other is a former- Employee of mine. He is much more dangerous. What ever he says, remember that I never meant to use the cloak. I merely wanted the stone. That unfortunate incident with his family was due to their own paranoia. All I wanted to do was talk. They panicked." Alfie squinted. He was reluctant to go on. He would not try to act regretful, he had made it clear that he didn't want the cloak. Their deaths were their own fault. "Who can we trust?" Alfie hated dragging others into this game. But he could hardly fend off Mr. Kite forever and once Alfie fell, they would be involved anyway.
