It was not unusual for Professor Gryffindor to send Lesuth out to collect students. However, the Professor seemed alot more moody of late. And Gryffindor was usually slow of temper. And as far as Lesuth knew, it was quite unusual for the Head of House to call for a student regarding the still quite distant field trip scheduled. Lesuth could not help but think that it was in part his own refusal to attend the trip, after all, he was without a doubt the Professor's favored student. But there seemed to be something else, Lesuth wondered if the good Professor might need his aid on the trip after all.
The portrait hole opened to reveal one of Lesuth's seventh year friends, Malcolm Prowell. Malcolm was a pure blood like Lesuth, but was definately more prejudiced than Lesuth. Regardless, they had been childhood friends.
Lesuth waved to Malcolm, "Hallo. Dodging old Slytherin and his potions again?"
Malcolm laughed and called back, "No. I've forgotten my potions kit. And you're on Gryffindor's business, I'll assume."
Lesuth nodded in agreement. "I'd use that excuse too, but being Head Boy and all..." Lesuth chuckled a bit. "Indeed. He's invited a fourth year girl to his office for a talk. I believe this is her free hour, I've been told. Her name is Bahyia, know her?"
Malcolm sighed in annoyance. He hated seeing a wizard of Lesuth's calibre shoved into the company of such filth. "No. Can't say I do, mate."
Lesuth shrugged. "Sure, she'll be here soon." Lesuth didn't notice his friends annoyed expression.
Malcolm approached. "Do you think you could not invite this one to our gatherings? Really, mate. We're not a zoo. We don't need every little insignificant girl following us about."
Lesuth noticed Malcolm's use of the word 'zoo', he shrugged. "Sure. They usually decline anyway. I just don't give in until they finally accept. Morgana doesn't seem to mind though, why do you?"
Malcolm shrugged. "I never heard their names before most of the time, it's strange, you know? Besides, She only suffers them to please you."
Lesuth was getting annoyed now. He knew Malcolm was speaking from his prejudices again. And their circle always teased Lesuth about Morgana liking him. "Yeah. But we'll be going tonight, right?"
Malcolm began to walk away from Lesuth, "Yes. And don't invite the girl! You've brought quite enough of them. Unless you find out she is pure blood, you know. Then, perhaps I could meet her." Malcolm grinned as he strode away toward the staircase. Lesuth shook his head as he watched the other seventh year run off. The other's in Lesuth's circle were all Slytherin students and much more vocal about their hatred of Lesuth's newer friends. A few of them even openly despised Lesuth himself. But could not deny his blood or skill.

Bahyia was huddled on one of the arm chairs during Lesuth and Malcolm's conversation. Although she felt annoyed that they were talking about her in front of her, she could not blame them for not knowing who she was. After all no one did, at least not by her real name. Most students called her the weirdo. She was not bothered by this since it assured she kept clear of delicious human blood. Bahyia waited until Malcolm had disappeared up the staircase before clearing her throat. She stood up from her perch and slowly stepped forwards. Pixie was wearing her usually skimpy clothes, her blonde hair thumbled around her shoulders and her eyes were an alert dark green. She folded her arms over her chest and said in a detached voice, "It is me you are looking for."

Lesuth had only just settled back into his armchair after seeing his friend off, when Bahyia stepped forth. Lesuth silently cursed himself for not having asked around before now. He had thought that he'd made it to the Common Room quicker than any other students with free periods could. He bounded up off his chair and held an hand out to Bahyia, "Ah. Of course. Nevermind Malcolm, he's a bit too self-absorbed. I mean, nothing wrong with pride, but we can get carried away at times, being pure blood." Lesuth studied Bahyia's appearance and demeanor for a moment. He wasn't sure he knew how to impress her and immediately became a bit nervous.
Lesuth shrugged dismissively, "Ah, out of curiousity, are you?" Lesuth was no Slytherin, but he was curious about the relation of magical ability and non-pure bloods. "Don't answer if its too personal. I am probably far too bold for my own good as well!" Lesuth chuckled.

Bahyia looked like she was not paying attention to what the older boy was saying. However she was quick to reply, "It doesn't matter. I am used to hostility." She was conscious of Lesuth watching her closely, probably trying to figure out if she was pureblood or not. His next question comfirmed her thoughts. Bahia wasn't sure herself what she was. All she knew was that she was not entirely human. Pixie decided not to answer. Instead she kept staring at Lesuth with a blank expression on her face.

"Hostility?" Was all Lesuth could think of for a moment. He had to admit, the truth of her statement quite stunned him. Lesuth had never intended to be connected to those types of people. But for a Prince, that kind of behaviour was hard to avoid. An urge to apologize or make excuses for his friend came over him. And they were even re-doubled when Bahyia did not answer any more of his questions. "Right, then."
Lesuth nodded trying to shake his nerves back into place. It was no use, however. The girl was unnerving, no denying that. "Uhm. Well, shall we go meet the Professor then?" Lesuth attempted a smile but only managed to look frightened out of his wits. He nodded and held a hand out toward the portrait hole. He much preferred Slytherin's loathing stare to people who weren't affected by his aura of magnificence. Which would explain his tendacy toward pure blood friends.

She felt angry at herself. Maybe the other students were right... she was weird. Pixie had barely spoken to Lesuth for five minutes and he was already feeling freaking out by her. She could tell from his voice and from his body language. Bahyia was confused by Lesuth's words. She watched him stand up and point towards the portrait hole. Bahyia raised her eye brow and asked, "Professor? What happened?" As far as she was concerned, she had not done anything wrong.

Lesuth shook his head reassuringly. He had never really expected this errand to be this stressful. "Well. Professor Gryffindor has asked to see you. I am not entirely sure why." Lesuth shrugged to Bahyia. "He didn't seem angry, if that's any consolation." Lesuth had thought all the strange kids went to Ravenclaw. He was pretty disappointed that he'd overlooked Bahyia until now. A student from his own house too. Lesuth usually was not so unprepared for conversation with anyone. "I would imagine you have more friends among Ravenclaw students, right? I mean, I don't seem to remember meeting you. And I know most Gryffindor students." Lesuth grinned.

"Oh right," was all she said in response. Her expression was still vacant from any sort of expression, thus it was hard figuring Bahyia out. His question took her off guard. Bahyia cocked her head the side and raised her eye brow. She blinked a couple of times and finally replied, "Actually... no I don't." She paused and inspected his grin, which was likely to fade any moment now. "Or maybe you never bothered to... like the rest," she commented frostily.

Lesuth bit his lip nervously, breaking his grin. He was starting to get a bit annoyed. Lesuth was hardly like the rest, he was exceptional. And everyone should know that. "Dear girl, you don't seem to realize who you're talking to. No other student can match me in a duel. I can hardly be placed into categories in which normal witches and wizards are in. I am not as unique, I'll give you that. But I am extraordinarily skilled."
Lesuth stood straight with his head held high in an extremely arrogant pose. "Well. Shall we be off then?" Lesuth was sure that Gryffindor wouldn't be pleased if they were late. Though he couldn't reveal his fears after he had just boasted so boldly. It would be inconsistent, and Lesuth was above that. In fact, he could show up late.

Her lips started twitching slightly as if to form a smile and she replied, "Oh I certainly do not contest that Lesuth. But if you were above what you call normal witches and wizards, you would have noticed me before." Bahyia mused on how proud he sounded. She decided that based on the first impression, she didn't like Lesuth. She raised an eye brow at his question and was about to comment further. Instead she replied, "Lead the way."

Lesuth was puzzled, most people reacted angrily to his boasting. Though it was true he usually reserved it for other males. "Ah. Of course." Lesuth began to sauntered off toward the portrait hole. He expected Bahyia to follow and continued speaking to her. "I apologize for the outburst. I usually reserve it for enemies; you know, dark wizards and dementors and vampires and other such vermin. Well, truthfully I haven't fought any of those yet. But I will! When I've finished school." The confession made Lesuth feel stupid, so he slowly became more quiet. He muttered slowly, "Everyone says I'm foolish though." Lesuth had kept his dreams of following in Godric Gryffindor's footsteps a secret to most students. His family were the only ones he had told. And only after they had pestered it out of him.

Bahyia followed Lesuth quietly. She stiffened at his words and stopped in her tracks. Her pale cheeks reddened slightly and her eyes blazed with anger. Pixie felt like laughing out loud at the irony of the situation. The head boy was admitting he would gladly slaughter her without even realising it. She scrunched her nose and dug her hands deep into her pockets. "I think I will be able to find my way to the Professor's office," she told him frostily. All of a sudden, Bahyia could feel all the weight of her differences. Her teeth felt uncomfortable and her throat burned from bloodlust.

Lesuth stopped and moved off to the side out of Bahyia's way as he realized what she had said. He looked at her in desperation. He looked stupified. He hadn't meant to be abrasive. "Er." He scratched his ear nervously. "Did I say something offensive?" He hated when he did not make a good impression on others. It made him very sad. He never meant to hurt anyone. Lesuth shrugged and let himself fall to the ground. He did not like to fail. Why hadn't Gryffindor just sent an owl or some prefect to get this girl? Why did it have to be him? As he sat, Lesuth's gaze drifted up to a window across the corridor. It was dark outside, but not because it was night. The clouds were blocking the sun. Lesuth sighed gloomily. It seemed he would make it to Slytherin's classroom today after all.

She looked relieved when he moved to the side and without looking at him proceeded forwards towards the portrait hole. Bahyia stopped in her tracks at his words and clenched her hands into fists. She laughed bitterly and said softly, "You hate me." Bahyia turned around to face him, just in time to see him slither to the ground. The vampire, tilted her head to one side and watched him curiously. What Lesuth had said offended her, yet again he had trusted her with his dreams. She let out a long sigh and crouched down beside him. Bahyia could see that he looked genuinely sad and remorseful. Without thinking she offered him her cold marble hand and said imperviously, "You can escort me, if it means that much to you."

Lesuth was dumbstruck for a moment after Bahyia told him that he hated her. He didn't know what to think. It was difficult to get Lesuth to hate you, you really had to try. So Lesuth was at a loss for words for a moment. He really didn't even know how to respond. How could he hate her? Bahyia seemed innocent enough.
Bahyia began approaching Lesuth again. He looked over at her curiously. His eyes followed hers as she lowered beside him. Her offer seem to pep him back up. "Certainly. And I assure you, I do not hate you." Lesuth took her hand and hopped up to his feet again. "Right now, Gryffindor will be waiting. I hope this all hasn't taken too much of your time. I hadn't meant any harm. Just following orders." Lesuth smiled, happy that he had a second chance to complete his orders from his Head of House.
