Helga smiled at Helena and agreed, "He is a good wizard." She paused, heaved a sigh and stated almost sadly, "I was lucky to meet him." Cornictacus was the best thing that could have happened to her, but lately things were strained between them. The young founder stared into space and absentmindedly thanked Helena for congratulating her. Helga was still unsure about the pregnancy; many aspects in her life would have to change. Helga focused her attention on Helena and her heart ached to hear the girl's words. She took both Helena's hands into her own and replied, "Your father's death changed your mother, but that does not mean she loves you any less. Believe me Helena." Saying that to Helena felt like betraying Rowena. Helga pushed the thought aside and continued, "Finding oneself is never an easy task, however, it is not impossible. Have faith my dear."

Helena noticed something fishy with the founder’s tone just like she noticed the absence of her usual glow when she spoke of her love. Again, she felt worry for her. Without really thinking that by asking she was probably prying big time, she blurted out. “Did Uncle Cornictacus and you have I fight?” She stared at the youngest founder, concerned. “You’re right. Father’s death caused her change. I think his death traumatized her. Maybe she’s afraid to show her affections…” She mused. “It’s been years since father and mother is still single, unless, she’s with someone secretly, which I highly doubt. Aunt Helga, do you think mother is traumatized?” She inquired out of the blue, if her mother was traumatized, she would probably understand her. If someone knew her mother, it would be her aunt Helga. The two’s friendship can’t be matched. “Thank you. I just hope I find myself before it’s too late.” And before I drown in self-loathing… She wanted to add. [/blockquote]

The founder was startled by the girl's question, who had evidently seen past her words. Helga had never been good at lying and she did not see any reason of doing so now. She gave a sigh and replied, "The usual bickering between lovers." Helga forced a smile on her face and added, "But I am sure everything will be fine." Her words were more of a reassurance to herself than to Helena. Helga listened intently to the girl and narrowed her eyes slightly. Was Rowena traumatised? "Anyone in her position would be," she said vaguely. Helga squeezed Helena's hand and added truthfully, "She doesn't like talking about your father. And I never believed it was my place to force her." Helga smiled at the girl and replied, "You are welcome. And I hope so as well darling. I am sure you will succeed."

Whatever happened between Helga and Cornictacus was none of her business. Was she concerned? Yes. Does she want to know what happened? Yes. But instead of asking any more questions, Helena just nodded solemnly. Upon the founder’s confirmation of her mother’s possible state, she nodded again, “I don’t think it is anyone else’ either.” She felt sort of happy. Everything seemed to make sense at that moment. Her mother’s detached behavior when it came to her was justified. But, her guilt for thinking of Rowena Ravenclaw was a bad mother, when she was actually traumatized, came to crash her nice mood. She eyed the table, unable to face her mother’s best friend.
The youngest founder’s words warmed her heart and she smiled, feeling like she could actually do it. “I’m so grateful to have talked to you, Aunt Helga. I’ll buy you ice cream tomorrow.” She promised and squeezed the founder’s hand. It was probably a very stupid question to ask but Helena was curious. “Aunt Helga, am I in trouble?” She asked before sipping her hot chocolate.

Helga was glad that Helena did not question her any further. She could see the curiosity in the girl's eyes, but Helga did not think it was appropriate to discuss her problems with her. "I agree," she said softly. "She will come to terms with it in time," Helga added reassuringly. She smiled at Helena and laughed softly at her words. "I am always here for you darling. No matter what." Helga's smile widened. "You don't have to buy me ice cream to bribe me," she teased. Helga leaned forwards and took another sip from her hot chocolate before saying casually, "Why would you be in trouble when I asked you to join me for a hot drink?" The founder winked at the girl and warned her not to let this happen again.

Helena nodded in agreement. She knew her mother would come to terms with it soon and she hoped that when that time came, their relationship would finally be back to the way it used to be. For now, she intended to just be there for her mother. “I know that, Aunt Helga.” She chuckled heartily. “I just want to do you a favor.” Helena smiled brightly at the founder. She was so amazing. “Oh, I can’t imagine how your lovely invitation slipped from my memory.” She said in a teasing manner. “Okay, I promise this won’t happen again.” She could not stop smiling and sipped her hot chocolate, feeling like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders.

Helga started laughing and replied, "In that case I'm afraid I will have to take you up to your offer." She paused and sighed. "I have been wanting the oddest of things since the pregnancy. Only the other day I prepared myself a broccoli pie." She made a grimace and added, "And you know how much I hate broccoli." Helga was glad to see Helena smiling. She knew her colleagues wouldn't approve but what they wouldn't know, wouldn't hurt them.

“Great. So what flavors do you prefer?” She asked and grinned at the kind founder. Helena did not really think wanting ice cream was odd but broccoli pie…?! “Dear Merlin.” Helena just stared at the founder with wide eyes when she uttered the words broccoli pie. She slouched on her seat then straightened up. “I hope this isn’t insomia acting. I feel tired but my brain is still energetic.” She said out of the blue. “Aunt Helga, have you thought a name for dear cousin?” She asked, curious. [/blockquote]

Helga looked undecided and finally said, "Any flavour will do. I want you to surprise me." Helga couldn't help but laugh at Helena's reaction. She shook her head and said, "I know. I know. I was surprised myself." Helga made a face of disgust before grinning at the girl. She tilted her head to the side and nodded her head slowly. "If it's a girl Adelle Lysandra. And if it's a boy, he will be called Marc Andre after Uncle Cornictacus's father." She paused and gave a small shrug. "We are unsure about the surname because Cornictacus offered to give the child my family name."

Helena grinned at the founder’s expression. Do all pregnant women become undecided when it came to food? “Great. I’ll try to buy broccoli flavored ice cream then.” She giggled then she pouted. “Now, it wouldn’t be a surprise.” She smiled at the founder, both names were nice. She decided she’d call the girl Lysandra and the boy Andre. “I’ve always loved you last name, Aunt Helga. I think it’s cute.” She grinned widely. “Hufflepuff." She muttered. "You have to admit it’s cute.” Helena kept grinning at the founder, unable to stop herself.

The young founder made a face and said with a laugh, "Perhaps not anything will do." Helga laughed harder at the girl's next words and teased,"What a pity. Now you will have to pick a new one." [She paused and looked at Helena sheepishly, "Although I wouldn't mind if you picked an ordinary flavour... like maybe vanilla?" Helga looked at the girl hopefully and soon found herself blushing scarlet. Her eyes widened when Helena started laughing and repeating her surname. Helga propped her elbows on the table and said, "As a child I used to hate it because other children called me and my siblings the Huffy Puffies." All of a sudden she found herself wondering if her child should indeed be giving her last name; Helga did not want them to be constantly teased because of it.

Helena pouted for a while before chuckling. “Too bad I would have to think of another flavor.” She folded her arms across her chest as she mocked trying to come up with a more exotic flavor. She smiled when the founder saved her from thinking too much so early in the morning. “It’s vanilla then.” She proclaimed with a smile. Despite her surprise at the founder’s view on her cute last name, the wide grin playing on her lips transformed in to an outright chuckle. “Huffy Puffy? That’s even cuter!” She exclaimed, straightening on her chair and uncrossing her arms. “I really think it would be great if dear cousin gets your last name.” She looked at the founder hopefully. “It’s way more cuter than Leroy, no offence to Uncle Cornictacus.” Helena added in a convincing tone. Her smile widened when Helena agreed to vanilla. Sometimes, the Hufflepuff founder had difficulty remembering that she was the adult and Helena was the student. They were very close in age and if she had to be honest with herself, Helga enjoyed talking with her. Helga turned redder when Helena started laughing. "I will add you to the in favour list," she teased. "Maybe you are right," she said with a laugh. The smile died from her face and she added hastily, "Do not tell him I said that. He would be upset."
