"Very good, Mr. Law." For a moment, Natalie had to question his knowledge of the spell and his house. She remebered his apology however and pushed suspicion's to the back of her mind. The unmistakable voice of Rowena Ravenclaw's daughter came to Natalie's ear then. 'It is just natural to be put to shame once in awhile,' It could be a challenge. Natalie was reluctant to punish further, but the amount of disruptions she would have to stifle would be greater still if she let it alone. "You may discuss your shame tonight in detention. I'll expect you here at five this evening."
Natalie sighed quietly to herself. Impending doom was approaching and none of the student's seemed to notice. She wanted to continue class but she had thought of something else first. "The Imperius Curse is a frightening curse. Imagine your friends, pets, siblings, or even your parents. Not only giving information on you to Dark Wizards, but also plotting to assault you at the same time. Naturally that would make little room for escape. Even for the brightest among you. Now the founders may throw me out for telling you, but there definately someone using dark magic within this castle. Indeed, the spells were cast within this very room. A student was killed by a spell unknown to me. I could be the murderer or under his control and with the door locked. . . It is imperative you learn to distinguish the effects of this spell." Natalie immediately turned her head to Justin, "And you also had a question?"

Upon hearing the professor’s praise for his answer, Justin felt relief sweep over him. He really thought he was going to get detention, yet when he heard that Lena was going to get detention, he felt sad. Although he couldn’t blame her for behaving like that, he knew that he should have restrained her from answering the question, thus avoiding the punishment. At this point, he realized that the professor actually thought that Lena was depriving the other students the chance to earn points for their Houses. He just nodded and said thanks for acknowledging his answer. He then thought that he would ask Lena if she would like him to accompany her back here in this room for detention and wait for her. He seemed to smile at the thought but quickly pushed it at the back of his mind when the professor suddenly spoke up.
When the professor talked about the curse and how horrendous its effects could be on the people around them, he felt afraid of the possibilities. When she mentioned the horrific killing of a student right in this very room, by someone within this castle who can use Dark spells, he felt the color drain out of his face, something not really normal to him. He could sense the urgency of the matter and he was now beginning to see sense into what the professor was teaching. When she brought him back to reality by mentioning that he still had a question to ask, he felt relieved. “Oh yes, I quite forgot about that. What I am about to ask is that…is there any way of knowing if a person who performed these atrocious acts were really under the curse or if they are just pretending?” he then asked. He knew that it would be one of their biggest problems if ever the suspect would be caught.

So far the lesson had been boring for both Slytherin girls. As pureblood witches coming from families supporting the Dark Arts, both already had the knowledge regarding the unforgivables. Neither would or could openly admit, because doing so with lend their respective families in trouble. Auriga Black and Viola Drayton were mean bitches but they were also loyal to their families. Viola was a step ahead Auriga when it came to the curses. She had tried all three and loved it.
They found pleasure in hearing the professor chastise the other students, especially that Helena Ravenclaw who thought she was something only because her mother was one of the founders. Auri had to admit she had nerve, but that did not make her any smarter. While Viola turned her attention to the texbook, not really listening to the professor, Auriga continued to follow the lesson. The thought of someone creating mayhem in the castle sent a shiver of excitement down her spine.
Both girls, knew who the culprit was. They admired his determination but believed he was an idiot for carrying out his plans in the open. Viola knew that the founders had started suspecting him, and it would not be long before he was caught red handed. Viola who was still flipping through the textbook smirked when she heard Law's question. Without looking up she said imperviously, "Ask Morgana Gaunt."
The second year Ravenclaw had been put under the imperius curse and ordered to attack Rowena Ravenclaw herself. The few students that knew had been asked to keep their mouths shut. Viola took pleasure into knowing that the little naive brat would soon be subject to discussion in the entire school. After Viola spoke, Auri's head whipped in the other girl's direction and she raised her brow at her.

On the outside, Helena looked calm and collected, but on the inside, she was busy trying to calm herself down, not really used to being in a sticky situation, especially in class. Never before did she experience losing Ravenclaw any points. Her wondering whether or not the professor heard her little confidence booster line ended when the professor expressed her desire to discuss her shame with her later that day.
She gaped at the professor, indignant. “What the hell?” She mouthed slowly, too astounded to make a sound, her raised eyebrow was close to reaching her hairline. Since when do people get detention for trying to lift up their spirits? It was insane. Then, she willed herself to breathe and that made her realize that tangling with a professor who, apparently, did not know what a confidence booster was, was totally foolish. Plus, she was the professor, she was inside her class, thus, she was boss. No matter how hard she tried to turn the situation around, she was never going to win.
This is pathetic. She sighed deeply, still not believing that all her hard work to keep her Hogwarts record spotless was just thrown out the window. Maybe it really was time stop trying hard to be like her mother. Her Aunt Helga was right, she did not need to be like her mother, she just needed to be herself. Who am I? “Fine, I would gladly discuss my shame with you later, Professor.” She sighed, finally resigning. “But, I want it noted that I’m going to do it against my will since I see nothing wrong with the act of boosting one’s self-esteem.” She added defiantly, loud enough for the whole class to hear. At that point in time, she did not really care what the professor or the other students thought of her.
The young Ravenclaw wanted to excuse herself from class and walk out but what the professor said piqued her interest. She had to learn about that murder she was talking about. She wondered if it was the same murder Sirius had been talking about. Oblivious to everything that was happening in class, she let her mind wander. [/size]

When Justin heard one of the students say something about asking Morgana Gaunt, he slightly cocked his head towards the one who said it. He could see that it was Viola Drayton, a girl in the same House and the same year as his. He just nodded in acknowledgment, having heard the story from many witnesses on how the poor girl was placed under the influence of the curse they were studying right now. It might be wise to ask the girl personally, I guess, he thought. He also spotted Auriga Black sitting next to Viola. Obviously, judging from their smirks and expressions, they knew all about what was happening.
He turned his head away, sighing as he heard Lena finally accepting her punishment yet there was still a defiant tone in her that intrigued him. He could see that she wouldn't really want to go down without a fight, yet he knew that she should've known better than to overstep her protocol as a student in Professor Fletcher's class. His mind was already debating on whether to accompany Lena later back to the room for detention. He then focused his gaze at the professor, waiting for her next statement.

Natalie sighed. There seemed very little she could do to keep their attention. Especially since Helena seemed reluctant to let the matter of losing House Points go.
In response to Helena's most recent outburst, Natalie stood and stated coldly, "I thank you for your willingness to participate in this demonstration, Miss Ravenclaw." She held out her wand in one hand. "Imperio!" She flourished her wand elegantly. Displaying some of her talent as a duelist. The spell was aimed toward Miss Ravenclaw.
Natalie then turned her head to Justin. "That work is left to professional interrogaters, Mr. Law. As well as witnesses statements. You may take your seat now."

Viktor was in the classroom, in the darkest corner of the classroom, his legs on his desk, hand on his forehead, he was sleeping, bored with the stupidity of most students here, and also bored with this professor, he didn't need to listen to this professor with her boring class about this curse, he used it on that little Morgana kid himself, how sweet it was, bending someone to your will without them knowing, and yet it was still a failed attempt on killing Rowena, he didn't care much, however, he opened his eyes when he heard her mention about a murder of a student here. He murdered that Cole here, she was incapable of recognizing the invented dark magic he used? Which was rather good, but he was annoyed that she was casting the imperio on that Helena girl, she was Rowena's daughter.
He wanted to break her, break them both, he just looked at the professor, would he let a mudblood touch his trophy that way? Her life was his for the taken, he would kill her and break Rowena's will, break her brink of sanity, he kept looking. "Unwise practicing it on Rowena's little daughter professor." Viktor said listened to her. "How heartless of a professor to do such a thing, someone crazy enough tried to kill her mother by using the imperio on someone, people would start thinking it's you." Viktor said, his voice was cold and rather dark, he didn't like when people touched his own toys, when it involved killing someone, he always has his targets. "Ah this will hurt Rowena, poor woman really, being attacked by a student under the imperio, falling in love with a man who murdered her own husband... and now using such a forbidden spell against her daughter hmm? If Rowena learns professor, you'll have a date with dementors." Viktor said, he let the information slip about Helena's mother being in love with her fathers murderer, he read the journals of that Alfie person, learned more darker spells thanks to a specific one, he kept looking toward the teacher.
"Out of all the founders though, I really wonder how Salazar will react to someone... such as yourself, 'attacking' a pureblood."

Justin was absolutely shocked to see the professor actually hitting Helena with the Imperius Curse. Worse, she made it look like it was a demonstration or something. Surely she's very good with the curse yet he felt that she was way too overboard with it already. He suddenly felt angry - very angry not only because she hurt Helena but also because she even dared attacking a pureblood. Justin was well aware that the professor was Muggleborn and this made him angrier than ever.
He then heard Viktor Lorrein, a boy from his house two years his senior taunting the professor about attacking Helena. What made him shocked though was the fact that he mentioned quite a lot of sensitive facts about her life. Even he did not know these things, where on earth did he gained such information? Suddenly, he then heard him made mention of what would be Salazar Slytherin's reaction to what happened. He hadn't given that much thought, however he already knew what would happen. He merely smirked at the thought.
He then heard the professor's answer to his question and for some reason, he felt unsatisfied with her answer. When she told him to take his seat, he walked away from her but at the last moment he turned to face her and said, "You know professor even though you're a mudblood, I was about to grant you the respect you deserve. However, attacking a pureblood is simply atrocious and of all the purebloods you'll have to lay your hands on, you chose the daughter of one of the founders of Hogwarts," he stated coldly, not caring whether what the class might think of him at that very moment. "I guess Lord Slytherin was right about mudbloods not being trustworthy after all. I think I finally realized the truth behind his words."
"I don't freaking care if you take away points from me, keep them to yourself, I don't need it anyway," he added as he strode over to where Helena was sitting, apparently hit squarely by the curse. "For as long I said what I wanted to say, I am fine by it, you can even add detention of course. Just wait until her mother finds out about this," he finally said, remembering Viktor's words. For some reason, he felt a dark aura welling up on him and even though he didn't trust him, this was one of the moments where he finally agreed with him.

Sensing Justin's eyes on them, both girls turned to face him. Auriga glared at Justin, while Viola smirked when she saw him nod in acknowledgement to her words. She contemplating offering him her help; knowing she would love to torture that little know-it-all. Viola winked at Justin and returned her gaze to the textbook. Viola seemed not to care of the sudden display of peacockery from the professor. However, she did acknowledge the fact that the woman was being extremely foolish. No one ever touched those close to the founders, not out of fear but to gain their trust.
What bothered her was Viktor's intervention. How dare he defend the pathetic little brat? Viola closed her eyes and started murmuring soothing words to herself, "I am an extraordinary witch, with extraordinary powers. And above all these mediocre scum..." Auriga heard her, and she was immediately infuriated. The fourth year poked her desk mate in the ribs and hissed tauntingly in her ear, "Looks like your boyfriend has a soft spot on Helena. I wonder if they..." Viola's eyes shoot open and she stood up, towering over Auriga.
She looked down at the Black girl and shouted, "He is not my boyfriend!" Viola had already lined up a nice set of insults when she realised the girl was actually smirking up at her. Auri leaned casually against her chair and made gestured for Viola to look around her. The older Slytherin raised her brow and reluctantly did so. Auriga's giggles were a mockery to Viola, and the latter did not appreciate that nonsense from anyone. Justin's attack towards Professor Fletcher broke the tension that had been building up.
Still standing Viola looked from the professor to Justin, and even risked a stolen look in Viktor's direction. She sneered softly and folded her arms over her chest. "Helena Ravenclaw is not my friend," she began her speech. "But my fellow Slytherins are right. That, professor, was a very foolish mistake." Her gaze turned to the class and she asked lightly, "I wonder how long will it take to have a new DADA professor." Viola inclined her head in Natalie's direction, smirked at her and sat back down.

Lars seemed to be in a stupor during the entire duration of the class. It was mainly because the professor asked him to keep quiet. He could not do anything but obey, since he wasn't really the type of guy to actually mess with the professor, just like Helena just did a couple of minutes earlier. He was sorely irritated by her prideful behavior and when he heard the professor giving her detention, a part of him was rejoicing, because he knew that she deserved it.
He then focused on watching Justin Law. Things seemed to be really okay between him and the professor and he couldn't believe that such a nice boy actually existed in Slytherin house. He then casted a glance at Prue, which meant What's wrong with this guy, he seemed good natured after all. The class was practically bursting with talk and he did not expect the worst that was about to come.
The professor, apparently fed up with Helena, casted the Imperius curse at her. He watched helplessly as she was hit. Then as though it was automatic, Viktor Lorrein apparently told the professor of what would happen if the act was found out. However, what shocked him very much was what Justin actually had to say. He then realized that the boy was apparently placed in Slytherin for a reason.
Watching Helena, he suddenly had conflicting beliefs. Although he felt that she deserved the attack, his conscience told him that it was just too much. He then just laid his head on the table, apparently having had enough.

Natalie had never heard of mudblood or pureblood before she got to this school. The arrogant among the students thought those words always hurted her. She merely gave Viktor a nod. "Very admirable of you all to rise to the defence of a fellow student. Though I would have expected much more active resistance for commiting such an act. Alot of you seem to be under the delusion that your tongue alone will save you from murderers." Natalie released Helena from the spell. She had no wish to humiliate the girl beyond what was necessary. "That is not the case. You must keep constant vigilance. That will be all for today's lesson. Enjoy your free time with extra homework since the lesson could not be complete." Natalie raised her wand and the bolts locking the door to the room could be heard as they released the door from the stone wall. "Viktor, You may join Miss Ravenclaw in detention tonight, to be sure that I do not harm her further."

Helena, feeling content for the first time since she answered the professor’s first question, was about to sit down after her defiant statement when the professor expressed her cold thanks to her for volunteering. Upon hearing her cold statement, she knew something bad was going to befall her and possibly the whole class. The class was defense against the dark arts and most probably the professor would cast a dark spell she would have to deflect. Confident she would be able to handle any dark spell she was about to cast, she stood her ground.
Imperio? Helena was so stunned, she froze. That wasn’t the spell she was expecting. Not inside the classroom, she didn’t. The red light hit her squarely on the chest, making her collapse on her chair. She sat, feeling really wonderful. She felt like all her problems were banished from the world. There was only happiness, untraceable happiness. Why am I happy? She willed herself contemplate. When she found no answer to aforementioned question, she knew why was happy. She was under the imperious curse cast by the professor.
She desperately started to break the curse. It was not the easiest thing to do when one’s mind was filled with so much peace and happiness. She tried using her defiant attitude earlier, really determined to break her hold on her. I can’t let you win. She thought darkly and suddenly she was able to catch someone’s words about her mother falling in love with her father’s murderer. And her rage, broke the curse... or so she thought. The professor could have freed her from it.
“How dare you.” She managed to emphasize each syllable through gritted teeth, not really sure if her words were directed at the professor or at her mother. The truth behind what she heard was still not verified but the feeling of shock at the professor’s behavior, the violated feeling of being affected by an unforgivable curse and the weight of being betrayed by her own mother almost reduced her to fury personified. She saw red and in her fit of rage, she unintentionally broke the professor’s vase, which sat on her desk, wandlessly. Then, she stormed out of the room before the teacher dismissed the class. Justin continued to watch Helena as she was under the influence of the curse. Knowing her, he was sure that she would be able to resist the curse easily since her personality was way too strong. He was surprised when the professor lifted the curse off her. For a second there, he was relieved however, his relief was short-lived when Helena suddenly shouted. His face was filled with worry, he then realized that maybe she was able to hear Viktor's revelation about her mother being in love with her father's murderer.
He was totally unprepared for what will happen next. As soon as the words escaped Lena's lips, she managed to break a vase wandlessly. Not only that, she stormed out of the room, apparently enraged. He merely watched her leave, then he collected her things and his books and went after her, since the insolent act they've collectively caused made the professor end the class abruptly.

Viktor looked rather amused as he put his stuff back in the bag, stretching his body and yawning when the professor told him about a detention, he cracked his neck twice, it felt more refreshing then this boring class, the fact it was thought by a muggle made it worse, how could they give such a class to a thing like that, and here she gave him a command? Or was it a threat, he didn't really care about it, he just yawned some more before walking toward the exit, he stopped just next to the professor, looking at her by the side. "Don't get all excited professor, I don't care about your detention, I have better things to do, even if you opened up your legs, I still wouldn't come to detention." Viktor said, with his coldest smile as he walked toward the door.
"Your fear of Salazar is acknowledged by the way, I wonder what you think about visiting a serpents insides professor, news travel fast around Hogwarts." Viktor said, soon leaving the classroom with a satisfied expression in his face, he didn't care much about the detention, but there could always be a change, he could really hurt Rowena, by hurting her daughter.

Auriga rested her elbows on the desk and leaned forwards with a bored expression. She was by no means impressed with her housemates words, even though they made sense to her pureblood brainwashed head. She raised an eye brow at the professor and echoed, "Rise in defence?" Auriga let her eyes wonder in Viola's direction before adding, "They are more concerned with the bad blood in the room, than that pathetic excuse of a girl." She leaned back in her chair and looked at Helena. "Always trying to impress your mother and never succeeding, eh Ravenclaw?" she told her. Viola started laughing at the professor's last words and said mockingly, "Seriously? We are being threatened with extra homework?" She shook her head and started packing her bag, a smile still playing on her lips.
