Odette walked into an empty classroom and climbed on the nearest table, holding a large chocolate in her little hands. She carefully unpacked it and took a large bite. As she was chewing the chocolate, Odette was looking around, she had never been in the classroom before and she wasn't quite sure what subject was taught in there, but she didn't care about that too much. Odette was just about to take another bite of her chocolate as the door opened and someone walked in.

Morgana was walking down the corridor when a pack of Slytherins appeared behind her. The oldest called out to her, "Hey Gaunt. Come here. We need your help." The others started laughing from behind him. Meggy didn't like Slytherins so her first reaction was to run and hide. Morgana slipped into the first open classroom she found. She leaned against the door with her ears pressed the door. When she heard their footsteps die away, Meggy let out a sigh of relief. |

Odette listened to the laughter from the corridor outside. She tilted her head to the side and watched another girl entering the classroom, probably to hide from Slytherins. "Hello?" Odette spoke to her, as the sound of footsteps faded. "Slytherins again? Why were they chasing you?" she asked, still sitting on the table.

Meggy jumped out of her skin when she heard the female voice. She turned around with a pale visage and her hand clutched over her chest. Morgana heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that the girl was wearing Gryffindor robes. And that was her cue to move forwards. She gave a shrug and replied, "Yes Slytherins. I don't know why. They didn't say. But it probably has to do with my mother." |

Odette frowned slightly at Meg's words. "I hate Slytherins. And to think that my mother wanted me to be in Slytherin. But she's just a silly old lady so it doesn't really matter." she added with a small shrug. "And what about your mother?" Odette asked, trying not to sound rude.

The second year was surprised to hear the other girl talk in that way about her own mother. Meggy tipped her head to the side and replied with her eyes narrowed, "My mother is nice. She doesn't mind me being in Ravenclaw, even though she would have preferred Slytherin. She has a shop in Hogsmeade. Sometimes Slytherins go to her." Morgana gave a shrug and then sat down. "I'm Morgana Gaunt but you can call me Meggy," she added. |

Odette nodded her head. "Oh, I see. Well, my mother is also really nice, but she just doesn't like Muggles too much. And she wants to go back to France, she doesn't like England either." Odette shrugged and looked at Meggy as she sat next to her. "Nice to meet you, Meggy. I'm Odette, Odette Cartier. And you can call me... well, Odette... Would you like some chocolate, by the way?" she asked with a small smile.

Morgana narrowed her eyes and said thoughtfully, "I don't think mother does either. She says they are weak. I do wonder how they manage without magic." Meggy grinned back at the Gryffindor and replied, "Pleased to meet you Odette. Are you French?" Her eyes lit up when Odette offered her chocolate. She nibbled her lower lip and said timidly, "I hope you don't mind if I take you up to your offer." She blushed and added, "I'm addicted to chocolate." |

Odette thought about muggles for a moment. "I think it's probably really boring without magic, I can't imagine living like that." she looked at the Ravenclaw again and nodded her head. "Yes, I am. My family moved to England a few years ago." Odette laughed and handed her chocolate to Meggy. "Oh, I really like chocolate, I think I am an addict too." She giggled and shrugged again. "Do you think muggles eat chocolate?"

Meggy nodded her agreement and started swinging he legs back and forth. "I think their transport looks funny. I prefer brooms but we also have a family carpet. I don't like it much." Morgana beamed and broke off a small piece of chocolate. She clutched it in both hands and started nibbling slowly. Meggy gave a shrug and replied, "If they don't they are missing on some real sweet goodness." |

Odette giggled. "Muggles are really funny." Then her eyes widened and she turned to look at Meggy with an expression of pure surprise. "You have a flying carpet? Oh, wish I had one of those...Maybe I can make my father buy it for me?" Odette took a piece of chocolate and bit into it. She nodded her head, in agreement. "Indeed, there's nothing as good as chocolate."

Morgana was surprised to hear that Odette didn't have a carpet. Her father often said that the best families always owned one. Meggy was too polite to ask questions or voice her father's belief. She took another bite of chocolate and stated, "I have you seen in classes. But you're not in Ravenclaw, right?" |

"No, I am in Gryffindor. You are in Ravenclaw, right?" Odette glanced at Morgana's robes with blue marks. "I wish I was in Ravenclaw, too." She took another small bite of her chocolate. "But Gryffindors are also really nice." she added with a small nod.

Meggy nodded her head in acknowledgment and replied, "Yes I am." She noticed Odette looking at her Ravenclaw robes and Morgana instantly felt self conscious. She lowered her gaze and stared down at her feet while she continued munching the piece of chocolate. She was surprised when the girl said she wished she was a Ravenclaw. Meggy looked up at her and smiled at Odette reassuringly. "Yes Gryffindors are nice. Hufflepuffs too. But not Slytherins," she replied plainly. Morgana paused and then asked, "Do you know who Viktor Lorrein is? I think he's an odd Slytherin." |

Odette realized she was staring at Meggy, so she quickly looked away, in order not to be impolite. "Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs are all nice, but Slytherins aren't." she made a small pout as she spoke, almost as if she'd made some particularly significant statement. When Morgana mentioned Viktor, Odette looked back at her with a frown. "I know who he is, but I don't like him. He looks really evil."
