Helena felt like hell. Reviewing the day’s events, she realized that all of it just weren’t very friendly towards her. Everything bad started early this morning. After sleeping for just about four and a half hours, she woke up with a wicked headache. Having only eaten small pieces of bread dipped in evaporated milk for the first six hours of the day caused her already bad headache to get even worse. Luckily, she did not miss any of her classes.
Her day did not improve. Her mouth tasted sour and she felt like anything she will try to eat now will go back all the way up. I definitely need to go to bed. She took a deep breath, eyeing the sky. Judging by the position of the moon, curfew was fast approaching or had it approached about an hour or so ago already? I really need to get to the Ravenclaw tower. A good chastising was the last thing she needed right now. She stood up, determined to get out of there and back to her room...
And, that was when dark spots started dancing across her vision and she knew she had to sit down and relax for a while. If her senses weren’t deceiving her at the moment, she thought she heard someone coming up the tower.

Sirius did well in all his classes, going to the common room of Gryffindor to write all the homeworks and be up to date with everything, he sighed calmly, something was definitively wrong in Hogwarts, it wasn't rare for someone to die in here it seems, he heard about those officials from the wizarding council, he shook his head calmly, he would get to the bottom of this, and find this killer, he was sure it was a student in Hogwarts, probably in Slytherin house, after a couple of hours past the curfew, he went up to his dormitory took out his invisibility cloak and put it on. He went downstairs, leaving the common room of Gryffindor.
There seemed to be no one around, he thought the founders were going to put people in charge to either protect the place or make sure no one was breaking rules, he shook his head, it didn't matter, he broke a lot of rules already and would break more, as he was advancing he felt something odd, like if someone was around here, he didn't see her at first and eventually bumped into her and fell on the floor, there was definitively someone there, he took out his invisibility cloak rapidly, he had no choice the person could still find him after all he bumped into her, he looked in front and then back, seeing someone that sat down, this was pretty odd, he looked confused as he looked at the girl, why was she sitting, specially when it's past the curfew.

Helena was taking slow deep breaths, trying to relax and stay conscious, when someone walked over her and stumbled in the process. “Merlin!” She gasped. The sudden collision made her right leg throb in pain, sharp enough to jolt her back to consciousness, for it took the full impact of the blow. Who knew being walked over and adding another pain in her already aching body was the key to staying conscious. Talk about ambiguous. She thought, giving her right leg a gentle massage.
She did not remember seeing anyone approach nor did she actually saw any sign of anyone before someone crashed on her right leg. Her silent wonderings stopped when he rapidly removed his cloak. The cloak revealed a student. Professors, most of the time, do not patrol the school under an invisibility cloak after curfew. He really must be a student, Thank Merlin I’m not in trouble… unless he was a prefect. Judging from the size of his figure…he looked around sixth or seventh year. There was a possibility. She could not identify him though, the poor lighting was not very friendly to her adjusting eyes. The only thing she could make out was his thick spiky hair, nothing else.
“Are you alright?” She inquired, concerned. Realizing that he just did not stumble and recover, he was on the floor, because of her. She scooted over next to him… to help him. “I’m so sorry. I really did not see you coming.” She knew that he was aware of that, he was wearing a cloak of invisibility, but she had to apologize.

"Are you alright?" Sirius said, in unison with her, he turned looking at her closely, he verified every inch, touching her arm and then leg, to make sure everything was okay. "Sorry I'm stupid... I wasn't looking I didn't see... oh gosh I think you're hurt... I... let's go to the hospital wing.. or wait.." Sirius said, taking out some healing leaves that he collected and putting it on her leg, taking out some bandages as well, he assumed that it was the injured place.
"I'm so sorry, I should of been more careful, it's all my fault, should of looked where I was going." Sirius was worried about her as he looked at her leg, hoping the stuff would work, he even put the cloak over them just in case someone would come, they would be invisible to the others, he kept examining the leg, remaining silent for a while and even nervous, this was bad, why couldn't he have been careful earlier?
"I'm sorry." He said yet again, taking off the cloak when it felt safer, he looked at her injury eventually his eyes accustomed to the dark, he could see her face, that was odd she was similar to one of the professors.. was she, yes she seemed to be Rowena's daughter, she had her looks that's for sure. "You...you are Helena." He said, feeling even more stupid for this accident now, he was almost about to hit his head on the wall for causing an accident like this.

He checked her for injuries as he spoke. She kept opening her mouth but no sound came out. He moved quickly, like he was panicking. It was only when they were already under the invisibility cloak and he had her left leg wrapped that she was able to speak. “Thanks. It’s a good thing you have these.” She said, gesturing to the leaves. “I’m fine, really.” She assured him, smiling, as she wrapped the leaves on her right leg. Certainly, she was going to have a huge bruise on her right leg tomorrow but that was okay. Accidents happen. At least she did not have any of her bones broken. “You’re the one I’m worried about. You’re the one who fell. Are you alright?” She asked for the second time, even though he looked alright.
“I’m fine. It’s okay. Don’t mention it.” She reassured him when he apologized, again. “I don’t know if this will help but I’m actually thankful that you hit me.” She wondered if he would understand, watching his expression closely. He was probably going to think he hit her head not her leg… arf!
“Yes… I am she.” She said slowly, observing him. His expression was that of raw guilt. “It’s okay. Let’s start over. I’m Helena, Third year. You may call me Elle.” She extended her hand for a shake. “You are?” She inquired, smiling genuinely, glad that she was called by her name and not Rowena Ravenclaw’s daughter. She then shifted so that both her legs were stretched in front of her. “Normally people who go around the castle under a cloak are up to something.” She commented, mostly to herself. “I’m guessing you aren’t an exception. So, where were you going anyway?” She asked, very curious now.

Sirius was surprised by her attitude, as he looked at her hand, a bit hesitant, he was usually a lonely person, not quite sure on what he was supposed to do he just took her hand, he was even more surprised by how soft her hand was, seemed so gentle, he stood that way, not sure what to do with her hand, he wasn't shaking it, he just held her hand like that, he had no real social skills and that was apparent. "Sirius... Sirius Peverell." Sirius remembered what she said, why should she be thankful of him stumbling on her by accident, he looked at her, confusion in his eyes, still holding her hand, not letting go since he still wasn't sure on what he was doing.
Sirius put his other hand on he forehead, making sure she was alright, everything seemed fine, either she was really someone nice and she was right about it, well he hoped she was, he kept looking at her calmly, hesitating to answer her question, he looked away calmly and soon sighed.
"You do know about the events in Hogwarts right.. I was... planning on patrolling and hopefully catch who ever was cause these malicious events" He said, he heard about weird stuff happening in Hogwarts but was he the only one? He wasn't sure, he just kept looking at her, wondering why she was here, was she here for the same reasons? "What about you? Why are you breaking the rules?"

She gave him a half smile and nodded when he introduced himself. He seemed to find this all awkward. Thus, acting very stiff as she shook a little and let go of his hand. She could not blame him though, if their place had been reversed, she would have thought the same. It was the only logical explanation she could think of… that justified his behavior.
His surprised expression made her justify her words. This girl is weird… was the last thing she wanted him to think right now. “I’m thankful that you gave me this, Sirius” She gestured calmly towards her bruised leg. “Because if you hadn’t, I would have ended up unconscious here… the impact snapped me out of it.” She explained, eyeing him worriedly when he felt her forehead. At that moment, she was not even sure if she was fine. Her head still hurt, she realized, but not so much anymore. It was her stomach that was all grumpy. If she was not mistaken, it just grumbled. She hoped he hadn’t noticed. That would be so embarrassing…
“Yes I have heard about those from some Gryffindor students passing by the fourth floor corridor. But are they true?” She asked, raising a curious eyebrow. If something was going on, whoever was covering it was doing a pretty good job. “I saw an agitated ministry worker just yesterday. And, they asked me if I saw… the Ravenclaw head of the house... I mean, what happened, exactly?” She asked, her curiosity talking. “I really did not intend to break the rules. I just… needed some fresh air for I was not feeling really well.” She answered, not used to breaking the rules, looking away.

Sirius felt his hand being shook, he looked at it curiously, as she let go of his hand he just kept looking at it, shaking it like she did, he found it peculiar and was quite curious, was this what people usually did? He just kept looking, lost in his thoughts for a while until she was talking, now he knew why she was in a way grateful that this happened, he eventually hurt her stomach growling, maybe it meant she was hungry, he took his bag and was searching, eventually taking out some chocolate from it, and handing it to her, he listened, sitting next to her, looking around from time to time, ready to put the cloak if someone showed up.
"Yes, unlike the others I believe it's a student from here, apparently your mother has been attacked, some man died, some wizard council members died that were supposed to investigate the student, I find it curious and I'm here... wanting to make a difference, make it safe." Sirius said, but how could he accomplish that, he looked at her again, he just listened and couldn't help but smile at her explanation for the rule breaking.
"Don't worry, I was only kidding, if I wanted to I'd take you to your mother wouldn't I? So she could give you punishment. It is dangerous though... that guy might have an obsession with your mom and you well, you look like her, though of course you'll eventually surpass your mom in beauty, so I bet he might go after you. Sirius said, looking around, if that was the case, he would have to defend her, he kept looking and no one seemed to be coming. "Do you want to stay under the invisibility cloak?

Her suspicion about him hearing her grumpy stomach was confirmed when he gave her a piece of chocolate. She gave him a sheepish smile and muttered a thank you as she took it. Knowing the she was blushing made her glad it was dark. She removed the wrapper and took a bite. It surprised her that she felt almost instantly better the moment it touched her tongue and even more when she swallowed it. She then took another bite, a bite that she almost barfed out before she could even swallow it when she heard what he said next. That was not the news she heard from the Gryffindors.
“What?!?” She exclaimed, shocked. Who would not be? Sirius just said that her mother was attacked? Inside the school? By a student? What in the name of Merlin had been happening? Students are not supposed to attack their professors or any wizard council member inside the school. The school was supposed to be safe. She took a deep breath, trying to overcome the initial shock. She wanted to ask him how sure he was about all this; but, the appearance of the ministry workers confirmed what he said, the looks on their face did. “Was she hurt? I have not seen her in days…” She trailed off.
Her shock was followed by disbelief and she felt really offended and hurt. Why was she left in the dark? She could not believe her mother did not tell her about it. She could not believe Aunt Helga or Uncle Salazar or Uncle Godric did not take the time to tell her. She sulked for awhile. “What makes you think it’s a student? Why not suspect another professor? Or anybody else” She suddenly asked, after thinking over the possibilities.
Her mother being attacked once was different from her mother having some crazy person obsessed about killing her. The former scared her and the latter terrified her to death. She gave him a smile that turned out to be more of a grimace when he said he decided not to bring her to her mother. “Wait, what?” She asked. “You think a student might go after me too? And, yes, let’s keep the cloak up if you don’t mind.”

Sirius listened to her calmly, eventually putting the cloak back on so they could remain hidden to other wizards, just in case. He looked at her calmly, the student part is only something he thought, as he looked away calmly. "I think it's a student, I can't be sure but, I find it suspicious that the wizard council workers that were sent after him, wind up dead." Sirius said, it seemed so suspicious to him, he sighed calmly, maybe he was judging that student fast or he was right, he had no idea, his hand accidentally brushed against hers, as he kept on thinking, looking from side to side.
"I think that Viktor fellow might be the one, after all the council workers dead, all those that were sent after him, he seems like a dark individual." Sirius said, he sighed calmly, was it possible though? A student giving trouble to Hogwarts, he kept looking away from time to time, making sure no one was around or listening in. "Professor Godric has been away for a while, not sure where he went, so I don't think he knows what happened, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't but it's clear someone is trying to hurt your mother and might try to hurt you."

Up to that moment, she still was unsure if she should listen to him. Maybe he was just pranking her, it would not be the first time an older student tried to do that. Well not to her, most of the time people just stayed out of her way for she was Ravenclaw’s daughter. They thought her mother to come to her rescue and expel them if they put a toe out of the line. She doubted it though. Rowena Ravenclaw was a very busy woman… She did not even have time for her for Merlin’s sake! “Wait, wizard council workers were sent after him? Why?” She asked, a little vexed for she did not know anything. One of the things Helena hated the most was being clueless. What could you possibly do to make them come after you?
“Viktor the Slytherin guy?” She could not help but ask. If he was toying with her, she really did not care. She could not pass up the chance of knowing the truth, if that was really the case. “You think Viktor killed them? Yes he seems to be a very dark individual and he has a very rude tongue if you don’t mind me adding… But he is just a student. How could he possibly have outsmarted wizard council members? How many were they by the way?” She asked, trying to calm herself and have an open mind. There was a possibility that Viktor did it.
“Yes, I saw him enter his office early this morning.” She told him. “I’m betting my mother informed him about it the moment he entered the school.” She really hoped he was wrong about Viktor and all this but something was telling her that he was right. “Honestly I’m not really worried about myself. My mother was already attacked so she is surely in danger. Me? Well no one attacked me… well not yet anyway. So we can safely say that I’m out of the picture and hope that it would stay that way.” She rambled, sounding like a typical thirteen year old.
“You said, unlike the others, you think it was Viktor. Who are they suspecting?” She asked.

Sirius scratched his hair as he listened to her talk, it seemed like she was talking so fast that he had no idea what she was saying, he followed everything she said but it was quite fast, probably a skill that girls have? He just shook his head calmly. "To question him about stuff, the death of his mom and aunt, he also used crucio on that Lily girl." Sirius said, he was being honest, as he looked at her, still looking around, his wand in hand just in case, he looked back. "He won't attack you, I'll protect you if he tries." Sirius managed to say as he looked around some more, and took out more chocolate from his bag. "I think I have a couple of sandwiches around, let me look."
Sirius said as he looked into his bag, he swore he put some sandwiches in here, they should be in, he sighed a bit angrily at himself, and eventually went back to the subject at hand. "Could be him, he is an intelligent student, able to perform complex magic just like me but I think he dwells into the dark arts."

From the moment she heard his name and saw his face, she knew she knew him from somewhere. It was only then that it all clicked to pieces. He was the school’s head boy. How could she not realize that? Then she remembered it was probably because it was late and… she had a terrible headache and a stomachache to match it perfectly.
“That’s outrageous!” She exclaimed, shocked about Viktor torturing a schoolmate. “He should have been expelled!” She was not close to Lily of the Slytherin house but it angered her that Viktor was not punished enough. After hearing the older student’s words about Viktor, she could not believe she even thought of sticking up for him. For a moment she thought he was just a misunderstood student.
“That’s very nice of you. Thank you, Sirius.” She said sincerely, wiping her sweaty forehead with an arm. “I think I’m running out of oxygen, maybe we should just remove the cloak.” She suggested.
“Sirius, what were you going to do to catch him? Maybe I can help?” She half volunteered half asked, tugging at the edge of cloak.

Sirius removed the cloak, looking at her calmly, she seemed a bit sick as he went to check in his bag if he had something to make her feel better, seems like he didn't. He just scratched his hair, he swore that he packed everything in his bag so he could capture that murderer, he sighed calmly, as he looked back at her. "Are you sure you're alright?" Sirius managed to say as he looked at her, putting another hand on her forehead, he couldn't detect any sort of fever so he was left dumbfounded, maybe she is just tired, he had no idea.
"Capture him and bring him before the wizard council, but I think that would be a bit too easy, with him I guess there will be a battle, what I heard is that someone used the imperio curse on your fellow housemate named Morgana, news usually travels fast in Hogwarts, and I'm sure that the Viktor kid is somehow involved in all this." Sirius said, looking away no one was coming which was good, he finally managed to find some sandwiches. "Ah finally found the blasted sandwiches, want some?"

“Frankly, no, I’m not okay.” She stated truthfully, sighing. The fresh air made her feel better at once. Now that the cloak was down, she just hoped no one would pass by. She just could not afford trouble right now.
Her eyes widened when he uttered the word imperio. If Viktor had really been the one responsible for the deaths of the wizard council members, the Slytherin had been using all three of the unforgivable curses. If this was all true, he disgusted her. Although there was still a possibility that Sirius was wrong, she could not help but believe him. He would not be made head boy if he was the type who just spreads rumors for fun.
“What did Morgana do? I mean, what did…” She hesitated. “Viktor ask Morgana to do?” She finished, smiled and accepted a sandwich. She took a bite and wondered how Morgana was doing and if her mother and the other founders were aware of Sirius’ theories and suspicions. [/blockquote]
