Lars smiled broadly as she was telling him that it was still too early for him to thank her, since she did not really know how she would help him. "No it's okay. Having you care for my welfare is something worth thanking for," he said. "You already helped me tons and I guess I should do my part too," he then added as he fingered his old watch, which he just finished fixing.
"Yeah, she faints a lot after her prophecies, and I'm very sorry to see her like that He couldn't quite comprehend the fact that his mother's prophecy spoke of him being a hero. For one, he couldn't think of anyone who was worth dying for except for his parents, protecting his clan's legacy and possibly...could this girl in front of him be it?
"You know...I just couldn't think of anyone except my family..." he said truthfully. "In fact, if the situation calls it, I would've laid down my life for someone else...even for someone I just met..." he added as he looked at her.

“Okay, suit yourself.” She said, smiling wider this time. It was nice of him to thank her already when the odds of her failing to same him was probably bigger than the odds of her being successful. When she heard about his mother, she could not help but feel bad for both of them. Maybe she would turn out to be like that, fainting after prophesying all the time.
She hanged on to his every word, keeping an open mind as she thought of the possible people he might want to save. She was not even sure if that would be the case at all. There was a big possibility that he could not name the person right now for as far as now was concerned, they haven’t met yet. She did not know if it was just his wordings or the way he looked at her when he ended his answer, that made her blush but she did. She felt funny vibes all over her body and she willed herself to look away.
She sighed, she needed some time to think all of this through, preferably alone, but something was telling her not to leave just yet. She figured she needed to find out more about the situation if she was going to do some thinking in her own time. This brought her back to the present, she needed to ask questions. The problem was, she had no idea what to ask. And, she was started feeling tired and yawned. "What time is it?" Nice question.

He thought he saw her blush; although she was trying her best to hide it, it did not escape his keen eyes and he merely smiled. Surely, this night would be very interesting for both of them. They just met for a few hours and yet, he knew that they were beginning to get closer to each other. However, he knew that his mother's prophecy weighed heavily not just on him but also for the both of them. He began to think if there was somebody who was going to get involved with his predicted death...but who?
He was then snapped back to reality when she suddenly asked the time. With this, he took out his pocket watch and looked at the time. "It's one in the morning already," he said. "Are you tired? Do you want to go back to the common room?" he asked. He then reached for his other pocket and took out his other watch, the one he made specially. He then went near her and took her right hand. He then opened her hand and placed the watch on it.
"Hey, I have something to give you...a thank you gift for coming into my life," he then said to her. "I know it's quite unusual but please just use it always and keep it," he then added as he then let her fingers close on the watch.

Her eyes widened. She could not believe it was one in the morning already. “I think I just had the longest day of my life.” She said, yawning again. Did she want to go to the common room? Yes. Did she want to sleep? Yes. But she knew she could not do it… not without at least trying to figure out how, when, where, or why would Lars die. There was one thing she knew that might work and she wanted to give it a shot.
But before she could even think about it, he took her hand and pressed something cold on it. She eyed it curiously for a moment and then she realized what it was. A watch? He was giving her a watch? What for? As if reading her thoughts, he told her the reason behind it. “Oh no, no,” She slowly said as she started to give it back to him. She could not believe he was actually giving her a present… they just met. “This…” She trailed off, something about his words, maybe the please, made her accept it. “This is wonderful, thank you.” She gave him another genuine smile. “Wait, did you make this?” She raised an eyebrow, curious as always.
She took one big calming breath, pocketing the watch, and decided that it was time to try her plan. It was now or never. She knew she might chicken if she did not try it now. “Lars,” She called his attention. “I really want to call it a night,” She looked up in the sky and pursed her lips. “Or day… or whatever… but before that, I need you to hold this for me.” She unfastened her bracelet quickly and handed it over to him, hopefully before he realized what she was doing and react. The moment her hand let go of the bracelet, sparks started to dance across her vision.

Lars suddenly had the urge to yawn as he really felt tired also. This night indeed presented a lot of surprises for both of them. Yet, he also felt that there are still a lot of questions left unanswered, especially regarding the prediction. I guess, it would have to wait, at least I have to make the most of my remaining time, he thought as he looked into the star-studded sky.
He turned back to her and he just couldn't help but smile as she accepted his gift. "I'm glad you accepted it. Yeah, I did make that watch, remember that watch project I was telling you earlier?" he said as he watched her pocket the watch. "Well, that watch has magical properties that can help you in the near future," he then added.
Suddenly, he heard her voice and as he listened to what she was saying, he almost laughed as she told him that she wants to call it a night. When he was about to offer her if she would like him to accompany her back to the common room, her bracelet suddenly found itself on his hand and she was having a fit again. His mind was screaming to place the bracelet back on her wrist but something stopped him. He merely went over to her and gently supported her body.
She wants to try it, and all I can do is to support her the best way I can, he thought.

“Oh, that watch project…” She trailed off, for the nth time that night. Oh my God. The mysterious watch that was supposed to be received by someone as mysterious is now inside her pocket. She still could not understand why he would give her something like this. How did I, all of a sudden, become the mysterious receiver? Maybe because of its magical properties…? “Wait, magical properties? What magical properties?” She asked.
The dark spots grew in size until they became everything. Darkness. It was just a big replay of what happened earlier. The only difference was she was prepared. Willing herself to focus, she felt the ground under her feet. Good I’m still standing. She blinked, her intuition guiding her all the way. It said focus on the matter at hand. What was going to happen to Lars? How is he going to die? She asked herself, willing herself to see a vision.
She got nothing but a wicked headache. It felt like her brain was pushing into her skull and the back of her eyes hurt. Feeling dizzy, she wanted to throw up. She tried calming down by slowing her breathing but it was not working. Her heart was beating hard and her hands gripped her forehead as the headache intensified. She screamed.

As Lars supported her body, he knew that she was trying to use her seer abilities. He could remember his mother whenever she uses her abilities. Although he knew that his mother gets really weak whenever it happens, he still do not know what will happen to her. Instead, he willed to focus more on supporting her.
However, as the minutes ticked, he realized that something was not going right. He looked at her and it seemed that she was already on the verge of going mad. He was horrified because it was the same as his mother was experiencing. It was a good thing I managed to make the changes on the watch,he thought. He couldn't bear to see her in such excruciating pain. Now is the time! his voice was saying on the back of his head. He knew that he must act now or else she'll die.
Quickly, he frantically searched for the watch on her pocket, and quickly, he released the switch, revealing a small green pill. He quickly tried to give the pill into her mouth, and after many attempts, he finally succeeded. He held on into her, and knowing that she was in pain, he could not do anything but hug her.
"Prue, everything's going to be okay, I promise you that," he said frantically as he tried to calm her from whatever she was experiencing.

Suddenly someone placed something horrible in her mouth. She spitted whatever it was. She had no choice for if she did not she was certainly going to throw up. It was already making her gag. She trembled as her head continued throbbing. This was going nowhere. Today was not the first time she was going to see anything. Today was the day that she will suffer a terrible headache and all the enchilada. What in the name of Merlin was I thinking?
I need to get pass this without using the bracelet. She thought. She blinked hard and rapidly, willing herself to see the world again. At first, everything was blurry but as seconds gone by, the world started to materialize before her. The first thing she noticed was that she was being hugged… By Lars?
She stepped back quickly, feeling so happy about her achievement. “I did it.” She said, her voice barely above whisper. “I can see without the bracelet.” She told him, her headache did not improve but her heartbeat was slowing so she knew she was going to be just fine. “I’m sorry I did not find out anything.” She sadly said, feeling dejected all of a sudden.

Lars was absolutely horrified. The pill was not working, apparently he couldn't understand why it didn't work at all. He knew that he had already perfected the pill's constitution and yet it didn't affect her. I can't believe it didn't work, he thought. Still, he held on to her, knowing that later, she would be okay.
After a lot of excruciating minutes, she was finally back to normal. She suddenly released herself from his hug and it seemed that she felt good about surviving without the bracelet. However, she expressed frustration about not being able to see anything. He just shook his head and grabbed both of her shoulders gently.
"It's okay. You're just starting to realize your powers so I guess it's natural," he said to her. "I'm relieved that you're alright...I mean, I thought you'll die," he then added in a hard voice. He looked away, unable to look at her. "I'm sorry about the pill, it's supposed to help you calm down but apparently, it didn't work and I guess it just had a bad taste," he laughed darkly.

He thought she was going to die? She knew she had just been through hell but she did not realize it looked that bad. Maybe he was just over reacting or concerned about all of this that he was blowing things out of proportion. Or maybe you are really going to die, just like Melinda did. A dark voice said in her head. Your grandmother already warned you about this… you should have listened and kept that bracelet on.
She gave him a small smile, it was hard to really smile when you are hurt. “Thanks.” She said feebly, clearing her throat. “Thanks for helping me, really. I promise you I’m going to try my best to find out what is going to happen to you and do everything in my power to stop it.” She never liked promising anything to anyone, but she could not help but assure him.
“And, I’m so sorry about the pill. I did not realize that it was you who gave it to me. I was just panicking and…” She paused, out of breath. “I was not really thinking straight... For all we know it would have worked. And,” She stopped involuntarily, definitely out of breath. Talking seemed like a very tiring act to do right now.

Lars knew that what she went through was definitely rough. He could remember his mother going through the same thing. He suddenly felt remorseful; he knew that she wouldn't have to experience it if not for him. He felt responsibility well up on him; after all her promise would really tantamount to her being hurt or worse, killed.
He just looked away, unable to handle the emotion coursing through him. At this point, he thought that it was selfish to have someone get involved with him, be concerned with him. He just couldn't think of the possibility of her getting alive through all this. But isn't that what you made the watch for? a voice inside his head said. She promised to help, give her a chance and just do your part. He sighed and turned to face her.
"You know, I really want to thank you for involving yourself with me. However, I am concerned with your safety and I want you to know that being a seer is no mean feat," he then said, his voice practically shaking with fear. He then walked near her and took both of her hands.
"But if you really want to push through, I will lend you my help and my support. After all, you wanted to change my fate and I guess, I want to change yours in the process," he added, flashing her a brilliant smile. He knew that he had to repay her kindness somehow and what a better way to do it than to help her in saving himself.

Her exhaustion was causing her brain to process the words he was saying slower. Deciding that sitting down would do her good, she got to her knees and slumped to the floor, her back against the stone wall. The stones felt cold but she did not care, she would have fallen asleep right there and then if had stopped talking for even a moment.
While covering her mouth as she yawned, she willed herself to listen. She got a few of his points but she do believe that she missed a lot of his words. “That is thoughtful of you, thank you.” She answered, deciding that that would be the safest answer. The last thing she wanted was getting in to conflict with anyone, especially not the one she swore to help.
Taking in a deep breath, she realized that he was right about the negative things he said about seers. It was starting to make her understand that it was not simply just getting horrible visions or real frightening events and saving everybody in trouble. Being a seer has an impact to her. Never being this exhausted before, she found the exhaustion almost unbearable. Her eyelids started to drop as unconsciousness made its way to her.

Lars merely watched her as she slumped on the floor, on the verge of falling asleep. He suddenly found himself stifling a yawn; he did not realize that he was also tired. He checked his watch; it was already quarter to two in the morning. He sighed; it had been a rough night.
He went over to where she was sitting and he suddenly sat down next to her. He couldn't help but gaze at the sky, it was just so starry. Suddenly, a shooting star just flew and good thing, he did not miss it. He quickly thought of his wish and smiled. He took out his wand and pointed it on the direction of the telescope. A sudden flick made the telescope pack itself into the case.
He then summoned the jacket he was using and he gently draped it over her. He loosened his tie and hung his head back, but apparently he was not sleepy. He's just going to wait for her to wake up and go back to the common room.

The sunlight on her face made her open her eyes… and learned how much of a bad idea it was the moment her eyes screamed. Groaning, she squinted as she gently sat up. Her surroundings surprised her. She was not the type who slept all over the school. She normally woke up inside her dormitory. She took a refreshing breath of the cool morning air as she tried to recall what events happened prior sleeping last night.
She stretched a little; her necked complained as she bended it towards the left. Apparently, she had developed a very bad case of stiff neck overnight. Who said sitting down was the proper sleeping position? “Remind me again that sleeping out here is a bad a idea.” She sarcastically said as she ran her hands through her thick messed up hair. A familiar looking jacket slid of off her as she sat up straight.
The jacket was not hers. Whose jacket was it? She touched it; and, suddenly it was nighttime and she saw herself taking the bracelet from a fellow student.. Everything was so clear she would have believed it was night if she was not seeing herself in action. Her face was terrifying, her eyes were so unfocused and glassy it scared even her. Just like that, everything went back to normal. What in Merlin’s name just happened?
Somehow having a minor flashback triggered her memory. She was, once again, tired and on the verge of having another headache. Remembering Lars, the person she promised to save, she started looking for him.

Lars couldn't manage to sleep after all. He was having trouble sleeping lately ever since he heard the prophecy. It was just a good thing though he doesn't see the grim appear yet and he knew that once it does, it confirms everything. He sighed.
He felt tired and his body was aching, but it was because he had been assuming a sitting position for a long time. And what hit him was the fact that it was already morning. The sunlight beamed at him as though it was greeting him. He smiled; it had been months since he last saw the sun shine. He glanced around and he saw the telescope packed away on its case, along with the tools. And he then glanced at the sleeping figure right beside him. He just smiled and brushed her hair lightly; he was glad that somebody else cared for whatever was going to happen to him despite everything. He suddenly remembered how she discovered her seer abilities and how she tried to use it to help him.
He got up and walked around, stretching his arms. The cold January wind swept across his face and he never felt more awake than ever. Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching his position. He looked back and he saw that she was already awake. Then he realized that he haven't eaten the night before.
"Good morning Prue," he said softly. "I realized that I haven't eaten anything yet. C'mon, let's go down for breakfast," he added as he walked, collecting his telescope and tools and beckoning her to join him for the walk downstairs. Something tells him that this would not be their only meeting, and he was looking forward to it.
