Natalie's gaze followed Rowena to her seat. She shook her head slightly as if she'd tasted something sour. Though Natalie truly detested most pure blood persons, she began to feel a bit sorry for Rowena. It was a strange feeling that Natalie pushed away. "Right. I personally don't see any students personal problems nearly as significant as the Defense lessons. I prefer to leave the ordeal behind me." Natalie rubbed her brow with a thumb and forefinger. "Mr. Prince is a foolish boy. He thinks he can solve any problem himself. You should disregard his outburst. He seems to trust me with his fantasies and I humor him." Natalie stared at the teacup. Perhaps she had been too rough on the third year.

Rowena took the cup and stared at it silently for some time. Then she raised her eyes to Natalie. "You are right and I agree with you on that." Rowena nodded her head as she spoke. Then she frowned at Natalie's words. "Do you think that my daughter is having problems?" Rowena was worried about Helena, since she merely spoke to her about her problems and thoughts. They just kept hiding things from each other. "Mr. Prince is an intelligent boy who wants to help others. He actually came here to tell me that you weren't to blame for the incident with my daughter. He was trying to protect you." she said coldly, looking Natalie in the eye.

Natalie did not want to seem preachy but it had been Rowena that requested specifics. Natalie bit her tongue for a bit, seeming to be playing with it before she answered. "Helena did mention something about confidence. Although she spoke quietly and I did not hear the context exactly. As for her mind, her fellow students provided me with alot of distraction so I did not catch too much of it. After her class stated their thoughts on Helena's predicament, I berated them for not doing anything but uttering threats to save a fellow, younger student from a curse." Natalie turned back to biting her tongue when Rowena spoke about Lesuth. Natalie considered ignoring that statement but gave in, "Exactly, he is the definition of foolishness. I am trying to teach him better. I obviously haven't done a good enough job so far. Then again, I have never cursed him yet." Natalie did not even so much as grin at her jest. She merely grabbed the teacup and poured it into her mouth. She finished it in a single gulp. "I am sorry things happened the way they did. I should probably tell you that Mr. Lorrein made a comment about you."

Rowena sighed sadly, looking at Natalie. She was obviously the only one who didn't know of her daughter's problems. Both Helga and Salazar had tried to tell her something about Helena's confidence, but she wouldn't listen. Rowena just nodded her head, happy that the other students tried to defend her daughter. It didn't matter if they did it to help Helena or only because Rowena was her mother.
"And don't even try it! One student being cursed is enough." Rowena said with a sigh. “Well, he is in Gryffindor and Gryffindors are known for their courage and foolishness.” Godric was both brave and foolish and he seemed to be looking for the same traits in his students. Rowena who preferred intelligent, creative students found it a bit silly. She just nodded her head at Natalie’s apology, but then her eyes widened in shock when she heard her final words. “Lorrein? Viktor Lorrein? What did he say?”

Natalie raised her brow at Rowena's outburst. She looked away from Rowena at the wall to her left. Then she shrugged, not to Rowena. This was Natalie's response to people in dominate positions yelling at her. "I understand what you mean." Natalie finally got enough courage to turn her head back to Rowena. "Do you think yourself above foolishness?" Natalie bit her lip. She really preferred Rowena didn't answer the question.
"I don't know if I should repeat it. It is really none of my business. But I believe Helena heard it. Though it probably doesn't matter. I might be responsible for all of this, like you suggested." Natalie looked doubtful of this alternative. But was definately unwilling to rule it out. In Natalie's opinion Rowena really didn't deserve the title of wisest. Natalie preferred Salazar's approach to things, no matter how ugly he was.

Rowena kept carefully looking at Natalie, waiting for her to tell her what Viktor had told Helena. Rowena was worried that he might have said something stupid and meaningless only to hurt her daughter. When Natalie turned her head back to her, Rowena just shrugged. Her eyes widened at the next question. "I beg your pardon" she kept staring at Natalie with raised eyebrows.
Rowena narrowed her eyes and bit her lower lip. "If you weren't planning on telling me, you shouldn't mention it in the first place. I think I deserve to know what someone said about me. Especially if my daughter heard it. It doesn't mean that it wasn't your fault, though." she added rather coldly, still unwilling to forgive the younger professor for cursing her daughter. Rowena knew that Natalie didn't like or respect her, but had no idea why.

Natalie did not know what she was trying to get across to Rowena. But by what she had said so far, only a fool would think this a friendly visit. Natalie sighed. Wondering how she had landed herself in this annoying predicament. "I do not want to be seen as someone who spreads rumours and hear-say. I told you who made the comment, why not pester him for stating it rather than me for hearing it." She did not like being talked down to like that when she was only trying to help Rowena. "Would you still like to hear it from me?" Natalie asked the question, even though she wasn't sure she wanted to reveal it to Rowena. Though she probably would, Natalie definately had better things to do than play Viktor's messenger.

Rowena sighed and nervously ran her fingers through her dark hair. She was getting annoyed by Natalie's behaviour, not only that she'd cursed her daughter, without feeling guilty about it, but she also kept saying silly things that lead nowhere. “Miss Fletcher, I do not see you as someone who spreads rumours.” She said, patiently. “I only expect you to tell me what made what he said about me. If Helena heard it and it was a lie... you know Viktor, he could say anything just to hurt her.” Rowena looked Natalie straight in the eye. “Please, would you finally tell me what he said? I can deal with the boy later, but now I need to know what he said.”

Natalie narrowed her eyes at Rowena. Natalie could be just as careless of other people's feelings too but that was on business and as a teaxher-student relation. She did not like Rowena for this but she told her anyway, "He alluded to you loving someone besides Helena's father. And that this man killed Helena's father, He didn't give any names." Natalie nodded to Rowena. "You will not tell anyone that I told you that he said this then. I think that would be all for now." Natalie stood up and gazed at Rowena. "Good evening, Professor." She waited for Rowena to speak.

Rowena gazed at Natalie with a raised eyebrow, waiting for her to speak. It was obvious that the younger teacher didn't want to tell her what Viktor had said, but she did it anyway. Rowena's eyes widened in shock and she took a deep breath, unable to say anything. She just sat motionless, looking blankly at Natalie as she stood up and was about to leave. Rowena closed her eyes, her entire body shaking with suppressed emotions. It took her a couple of moments to pull herself together. Then she looked up at Natalie and gave her a warm smile. "Thank you, miss Fletcher. Oh, and just to let you know that if you curse another student, particularly my daughter, I will personally use an unforgivable curse on you." Rowena smiled at Natalie again, speaking "Good night, miss Fletcher."

Natalie did not watch Rowena, nor did she wish to seem rude. She wondered if there was some truth to what Viktor said. When Natalie had finally resolved to try to comfort Rowena, the Founder seemed to come back to her senses. Natalie gave Rowena a single nod. She responded in a bold voice, "When that eventually happens, I will be ready. That was only one of many spells and I don't think the students are scared yet," Natalie grinned and bowed to Rowena before turning her back on the Founder. Natalie walked toward the door, unaware of the future.
