"Please don't be mad," Auri said softly. She took a deep breath and looked away. "I mentioned you in one of my letters. And my mother wished to meet them... to see if your family is eligible," she said softly. Auriga lowered her eyes.

Tiberius sighed. "I am not mad at you Auriga, I am simply surprised that is all" he said, his tone gentle and calm. "Is this meeting just between them, or are we to be there as well?" he asked gently. He moved his hand up to her chin, and held her face so she was facing him "I am not mad at you" he repeated in the same calm tone. "I hope your family find mine eligible, I don't know what I'd do if not" he said the thought of losing her, struck fear into his heart, something that rarely happened.

Auri remained silent until Tiberius lifted her chin. She gazed up into his eyes and gave a small nod, "Mother will be getting a special permission to pull us out of Hogwarts." Auriga was horrified with his next words. She clung tightly onto Tiberius and said, "I refuse to be forced to leave you." Auri looked up at him with a look of distress.

Tiberius gave her a soft kiss on the lips, and gazed back into her eyes. "Okay, how long away, when do they want to meet my parents?" he asked his tone still gentle and low. He smiled sadly and held on to her tighter, "and I refuse to be parted from you" his eyes expressed his terror, the terror he would lose the best thing that had happened to him, that he would lose another important person in his life. He kept a firm grip on her waist, not wanting to let go in fear that if he did, she wouldn't be real, that she was a figment of his imagination. "But what if they don't like my family, then what?" he asked, his tone serious, his fear slightly coming through into his speech. He leant his face down again to rest his forehead on hers.

"Friday night till Sunday afternoon," she mumbled in response. Auriga tightened her grip and looked up at him with a broken expression. Tiberius was the only one who ever saw her weak and vulnerable. "If my mother suspects that I love you she will not allow us to be together. She thinks that only the foolish marry for love." Tears welled up in her eyes, but Auriga blinked them away. "They will like them," she said in a not too confident whisper.

Tiberius nodded "So I guess that means we won't be able to go to Hogsmeade this weekend" he said trying to lighten the mood. He looked sad at her broken expression. What Auriga said left him a little shell shocked. "You love me?" he asked his tone disbelieving, but hopeful. He of course loved her, she was the best thing that could have happened to him. "It is not always foolish to marry for love, when rushed and not thought out, then yes, but other times, no" he said softly, expressing his views on the matter, his family wanted him to be happy, but they also wanted him to marry a good Pureblood girl, from an old family, they would love Auriga. For she made him happy and was a Pureblood from an old family. "Maybe this weekend we should tune it down a little, I don't want to risk losing you" his tone was fearful of the possibilities. "They should, my family are the ideal Pureblood family, we had many suitors asking about Kayleigh, and have many starting to ask about Raven" he said, he tried not to mention his missing sister when he could, but he figured he should tell her soon, about Kayleigh. He couldn't keep pretending to her.

Auriga sighed and said, "I am afraid not. But we can go the week after. I don't mind cancelling my plans with the girls." She blushed at his question and realised she had never actually said those three words aloud. Auriga nodded sheepishly and whispered, "I do love you." She listened to his words in silence. Every since meeting him, Auriga started to share his view but she knew her mother would not be as flexible. She reluctantly agreed to his proposal but then added with a hint of mischief, "I can visit you in your room at night since I know all the secret passageways." At the mention of Kayleigh, Auriga felt an immense shame and looked away. She remembered their first 'date' and how she had used her Legilmens skills to see his thoughts. She knew that Kayleigh had gone missing, although he had never mentioned it to her. Auriga wondered if she should admit what she had done, but feared he would not take it well.

Tiberius "You don't need too, I am glad that you would change your plans for me, but an arrangement is an arrangement" he said smiling at her. His smile grew and he laughed happily, picking her up and twirling them around. "I love you too" he exclaimed happily. Tiberius's smile turned into a causal smirk, as he listened to her suggestions. "Well then, I shall have to stay awake and wait up for you" he said with a laugh. Tiberius looked a little puzzled at her turning away so suddenly. "Auriga, what's up?" he tried to think of what he had said to cause her to look away.

"You are such a proper gentleman," she laughed. Auriga enjoyed spending time with Tiberius, but she was glad that he told her not cancel her plans. Auri let out a small shriek when he picked her up. She held tightly onto him and laughed as he twirled them around. Auri giggled softly and said, "Good. Because I plan on visiting every night." She knew she would have not been able to hide the truth from him for too long. Auri sighed and said softly, "I am Legilmens and Occlumens." She paused and looked up at him with wide eyes. "I never told you because on our first walk I used it against you." Her voice trailed away and she pleaded with him to forgive her.

"I am not, not really. If I was would I do this?" he asked, pulling her lips to his and giving her a rather passionate kiss. He smiled as she laughed, glad she was happy. Tiberius set her down carefully, like she was a porcelain doll that might break I his grasp. "I look forward to this visit then" he said half seriously and half teasingly. His expression fell, as he listened to her first statement, he was sure that there was an and. How right he was. His expression turned angry, and a little disappointed. "What did you read?" he asked, no, demanded. "What did you find out" he asked again. He mentally winced as she pleaded his forgiveness, and his temper cooled slightly but he was still mad. "Why?" he asked quietly, his tone still quite harsh.

Auriga cringed and started backing away from Tiberius, almost as if she was afraid of him. She stared down at the ground and without meeting his eyes said, "About..." She paused and shuffled her feet uncomfortably. Auri took a deep breath and finished, "Kayleigh... and your sadness." At that point she looked up and added, "I swear I stopped after that. I did not wish to invade your thoughts any further." Auriga looked sincerely sorry. When he asked why, she was uncertain on how to reply. In the end she said, "Because I did not trust you."

He mentally noted that she backed away from him. Is she afraid of me? he thought a little ashamed and disgusted with himself, but as he had said before - sometimes he let his anger get the better of him. "About what?" he said guestering for her to continue. He frowned at her next words. "You know about Kayleigh? You've known all along? I've been at war with myself, wondering of I should break my promise to my family and tell you... And you knew" he sounded a little shocked, and angry. "I suppose it makes it easier now, I didn't break my promise and you know" he said finally after staying silent for a while, calming down. He took a deep breath. "I believe you, but what's done is done. I can't change that, I'm a little miffed that you went into my thoughts" he responded. "Well, we'd only just met. So I get the not trusting me part" he sighed. He found it hard to stay mad at her, for he couldn't see any real harm in what she'd done. He was glad that his wand had been put away in his pocket, and that he had not thought to get it.

Auri looked up at him sadly and whispered, "I am sorry Tiberius." Having said that she fell silent and waited for him to speak again. When he spoke again Tiberius sounded less angry however that did not reduce any of the guilt she was feeling. "I never meant any harm," she told him softly. Auriga started walking towards him cautiously and said, "I.... I just didn't..." Auri shut up and turned away from him. She had been a fool. Auriga should have never read his mind in the first place. She was suddenly afraid that he would be too angry to forgive him.

Tiberius glared angrily, he avoided looking at her. He did not know what to say, he would eventually forgive her, but right now it was too hard, he wanted to say the words. I forgive you. They were right on his tongue, waiting to be said. Yet he said nothing. "I will eventually forgive you" he finally managed to say, his tone was cold and collected. "This doesn't change how I feel about you, not in the long term anyway" he said softly. He ran a hand angrily through his hair "I know you didn't mean any harm!" he exclaimed annoyed "Thats what makes it so damn annoying!" he exclaimed again "I want to forgive you, I do" he said his tone now soft again. "but I can't, not now" he sighed, the evening seemed to go from disaster to disaster. "Well, this is not how I expected today to turn out" he said annoyed, holding his hair back from his face with his hand, then letting it go, as he slid his hand over his face and groaned.

She could understand him and did not blame him for not forgiving her, however that did not stop her from feeling like a tiny speck of dirt. She was at least glad that her act of foolishness had not influenced his feelings for her. Auriga moved to stand by the railing and sighed softly. "Looks like Viola won," she said softly. Auri turned to face Tiberius with tears in her eyes and asked, "Do you want me to leave?"
