Did You Miss Me? (Marc)

Alfie was sitting alone in the Room of Requirement and listening to the sound of the rain on windows and roof. His gaze was focused on the book Adelle had left on the table. However, he wasn't reading it, he was trying to think of a way to get Viktor's wand without a duel. Alfie sighed and closed the book when he heard the door open. He turned towards the door with a large grin on his face, thinking that it was Della. "I didn't expect you..." Alfie stopped when he saw Marc standing in front of him. He jumped on his feet, a bit uncertain of what he should say. "Marc? What a surprise..." he muttered, staring at his cousin with his eyes wide open.

Marc expected to be alone in the room of requirements, what he didn't know is that his 'cousin' was there, once he entered he stopped in his track, he saw Alfie jr, and got angry, his face turning to a shade of red, he approached him."You what the blazing hell are you doing here?" He didn't even wait for an answer as he punched him on the nose strongly, he then held him and started shaking him. "You bloody idiot WHAT HAVE YOU DONE." He said, this time, headbutting him "TIME TRAVELLING CHANGES CERTAIN EVENTS YOU IMBECILE."

Alfie made a step backward, looking at Marc. He hadn't expected his cousin to be happy to see him, but his reaction was shocking. Before he managed to answer, Marc punched him. Alfie raised his hand to his face, touching his swelling nose. "What do you think you're doing?! Stop it!" Alfie screamed at his cousin. Marc struck again and Alfie felt that his nose had started to bleed. Alfie tried to push him away, still holding his nose. "Marc, stop it!" he screamed again, pulling his wand out.

Marc was just angry as he punched at his hand to make him drop the wand, he kept looking at him angrily, how stupid could he be, he sighed angrily. "Alfie you idiot, what have you done, now we need to wait to know the consequences of your act." Marc said, trying to calm down, he looked toward the wall instead of his cousin. "I've protected your hide many times when you were getting bullied, I know why you are here, you'll be just like Viktor if you go through with what you want, you are after the wand aren't you?"

Alfie winced in pain and dropped the wand. It fell on the floor and rolled under the table. "How dare you talk to me like that?" he spoke to Marc angrily "You came here first and you've probably made more damage than I have." He gave Marc a cold look as he moved backward again, trying to stay out of his reach. "You have no idea." Alfie hissed. "The wand belongs to my father. He is the real master of the Elder wand and I was supposed to get it, not Viktor! Alfie looked away, wiping the blood off his face.

He listened to his 'cousin' about to punch him again but he stopped, his punch almost connecting to his nose once more. Did he hear correctly. He looked at the wall caressing his chin calmly. "Your father wouldn't give the wand easily... he would of died instead of giving it.." Marc said, looking at his 'cousin' and then back at the wall, lost in his thoughts, but then he focused on his 'cousin' "You're a fool, an idiot, think before speaking about your plans, what happens here, doesn't change the future, we are just trying to save this timeline." Marc said as he looked at his cousin and sighed once more. "Of course, certain events have changed because of the arrival of me and my sister, but there wasn't supposed to be a third traveler."

Alfie sat down on the floor, breathing heavily and fast. His nose was still bleeding and his face was covered with bruises, made by Marc’s fists. He managed to look up at his cousin again. "And he did! Viktor nearly killed him, that's how he got the wand!" Alfie's voice and body were shaking as he spoke. "Grindelwald told me all about it!" Alfie didn't even try to stand up, knowing that he was safe from Marc as long as he remained down on the floor. He kept looking at his cousin. "That doesn't make sense! Why did you come here, then? I'm going to change the future! I'm going to take my father's wand and beat Viktor!" Alfie jumped on his feet, ready to leave the room. "You have no idea, Marc!" he said coldly. "I don't need your help, but you have to stay out of my way!" Alfie was about to take his wand, but then he remembered that it had rolled under the table. Shaking his head and cursing his cousin under his breath, Alfie moved towards the table to get his wand.

He sighed as he listened to his 'cousin' perhaps it was a noble intention but it wouldn't work, he looked at him.[/b]"You bring the wand to the future, you destroy both timelines. It is too late to change our time Alfie, use your brain, not your arrogance and your foolish plans." He said as he looked at him, annoyed, Marc was a Gryffindor and Alfie a Slytherin, how come he was thinking more than his cousin. "It doesn't make sense, the fact that he didn't kill him and just took the wand, none of this makes sense. I would love to change the future, give my sister a better one and a better future for Olivia..But I can't." He said, calmly, making Alfie's wand levitate toward his own hand. "Nothing will change, we need to know where the horcruxes are, and to have a rebellion in our time.. but for now.. all I can do is save.. people that can stop Viktor from this time.

Alfie moved backward until he reached the wall. He leaned against it, trying to catch a breath and stay away from Marc. Alfie run a hand through his hair, thinking about his cousin's words. "That doesn't make sense. Nothing makes sense then. The future has to be changed, that's why we came here in the first place. Everything has to be changed!" Alfie just shook his head and kept staring at the wall in front of him. He looked almost as if he'd lost his mind, just staring blankly into the whiteness with a strange facial expression. Suddenly Alfie's eyes narrowed and he turned to Marc again. It finally started to make sense, the way Marc behaved and his words."You came here to save your parents, didn't you?" There was an accusing tone in his voice. Alfie just remained silent for a moment, contemplating whether or not he should say what he wanted to say. "I understand. I would have done the same." he finally whispered in a much softer voice.

Marc just remained silent, he did feel guilty after all he knew he wouldn't be able to change his own time. He just sighed calmly and nodded as he looked at his cousin, being calmer now. "Yes, me and Della came here to save them, but also to save students that can stop him, we are here to save this world." He just said calmly, as he sighed, the only way to stop the Viktor of their time would be a rebellion and knowing where those horcruxes are at.

It looked as though Marc had finally calmed down. Alfie sighed with relief, but remained as far as he could from his cousin. He raised his hand to his face, wondering if Marc had broken his nose. It sure hurt as if he had. Alfie looked at Marc again, with his head slightly tilted to the side. “Wait a minute... how do you know which students can stop Viktor?” Alfie’s eyes widened as he realized that he actually had a plan.

Marc sighed and looked away calmly, all the changes he had, the stuff his sister couldn't understand, the brother that was so far away from her and yet made sure she was alright. Same could be said with Alfie, he made sure to protect him when he could, a single tear fell down. Ì saw their horrible deaths in Godric Gryffindor's pensieve... and I saw his gruesome death with my own eyes." He sighed calmly. I saw friends die... I've been missing for two days.. being tortured by one of his minions. You do not understand their danger cousin... but I do. I don't want my sis to lose her compassionate side either. Everyone changes.. specially after seeing friends and a mentor die. Attachment is not something I can afford anymore."
