Alfie's hat was already soaked. He had waited patiently for these stormy conditions. He knew the frail witch would be less likely to run outside to escape. The rain would not allow anything to be dry. The wind blew it sideways so that it struck even things under protection and when the wind stopped it fell straight again. Thunder and lightning could be heard and seen but Alfie was unafraid.
He trudged toward the modest looking store casually. Knowing that Morgana would have enchanted the inside of the house to appear larger. He stopped onto the doorstep and pounded lightly on the door. Alfie had told Rowena where he would be, but had not asked her to join him. He wanted her to. But more because he thought the school was a much too volatile place for his unborn child to be. Alfie cleared his throat and pounded again when no response came.

It hadn't been raining so heavily for months. Large gray clouds covered the sky, hovering above the rain-soaked Hogsmeade village. Lightning flashed across the sky and a loud thunder could be heard. Rowena shuddered at the sound, running down the narrow street towards Morgana's shop. She had never been there before and had never thought that she would be visiting such a notorious place. Alfie had told her that he would be there, but hadn't asked her to come with him. Rowena knew that he wanted her there, though. She knew him too well. The only thing she didn't know, however, was why he wanted her to join him, since he could easily deal with Morgana himself.
Rowena held her wand high above her head, casting a shield charm to protect herself from the rain. Her hair and clothes managed to stay dry. Rowena stopped on the street only a couple of feet away from Morgana's shop. She was a bit surprised by its modest, almost poor look. Rowena saw a figure of a tall man wearing a dark cloak and hat standing at the doorstep. A small smile appeared on her face when she recognised him and she walked towards him, lowering her wand. His presence had a strange influence on her, he made her feel safe and protected, yet fragile and less prudent at the same time. "Alfie" she spoke to him quietly when she stopped next to him. Rowena looked up to the window, wondering if Morgana knew that they would be coming.

Morgana gazed across her table at Alphard Valenceus, Melkor's father. They had used the same magic to exchange Morgana's mind and soul with Brutus' wife to get Alphard a new body. The poor boy it used to belong to was one of the most promising among young wizards. Morgana could tell that her own son Brutus was slightly uncomfortable being in the room with two older folk who had switched bodies with young kids.
They were in the third story of Morgana's building when Melkor and Rowena came to the door. Morgana was speaking loudly to Alphard so she did not hear the summons but Brutus had. "I think poor Melkor should live, it's that Rowena who is the problem. Your son is a decent man. It seems such a waste." Morgana felt Brutus tap her shoulder. She knew it was him since he had always gotten her attention that way since he was a boy. Morgana turned in her seat towards Brutus. "Yes?"

Alphard held a glass to his lips as he listened to Morgana speak. He had always found the woman's tendacy to believe she was omniscient annoying. Especially on the matter of other people's children. "Melkor has always been an insolent child. He has gone too far this time. He will die, dear. And so will Rowena." Alphard lowered his glass and looked up at Brutus as the young man stepped forward. Alphard cleared his throat. "I believe I heard a knock. Is there supposed to be someone else coming?"

Morgana sighed and stood up quickly. She addressed Alphard before turning away again. "Well, have it your way then. Excuse me, I'll answer the door." Morgana went down the stairs to her store front and approached the door. She pulled open the door. Her heart nearly stopped when she realized who was at the door. She realized that she was in danger from these two since what Alphard had said that Melkor had consumed her poison. She did not remember right away that her identidy was protected by the body switch she had done with Brutus' wife.
Morgana stared open-mouthed at Alfie for a moment. Her eyes moved to Rowena whom she had threatened a few weeks ago. She cleared her throat quietly then asked, "What do you want?" Morgana saw herself in a transparent reflection upon a bit of glass and realized that the two would not recognize her. "Morgana is not home tonight. Do you have a message?"

Alfie turned when he heard his name. He pretended to be surprised to see Rowena. He bowed slightly, taking no care for the rain that drummed down on his head as he removed his hat. Alfie then returned his hat to his head and wiped a raindrop from his eye. "Rowena. So you've come. I wondered if you would." Alfie seemed a bit nervous. He was angry and ashamed of himself for losing control in front of Rowena and Helena. "Is Helena fine?" Alfie looked down the street after he had asked the question.
The door opened for them finally and Alfie turned with it. He expected to see Morgana's husband or Morgana herself, but a much younger lady stood there. Alfie was upset to see that someone besides Morgana was there. He had hoped to confront her while she was alone. "Gone? On a night like this?" Alfie ignored the girl and pushed his way into the building. "It is raining out there. It would be much more courteous to invite us inside." Alfie waved for Rowena to follow him. He did not believe that Morgana was elsewhere.

Rowena smiled. She knew that Alfie was only pretending to be surprised to see her and that he had expected her to be there. She raised her eyebrows and shook her head slightly when Alfie took his hat off and bowed to her. He had always been such a gentleman and she loved him for that. "Of course." she whispered as she kept looking at him. Rowena could see how nervous Alfie was; he was probably still angry with himself because of the way he had behaved in front of her daughter. "Helena is fine." Rowena said and sighed. She was a bit nervous herself, mostly because of Morgana. She wasn't ready to meet the woman who had tried to kill her.
Rowena looked at the door and a frown appeared on her face when she saw the younger lady standing there in front of them. She had expected Morgana to be alone. She glanced at Alfie before turning her attention back to the girl. Rowena was trying to figure out who she was, but soon realized that she had never seen her before. She followed Alfie inside, her dark eyes quickly moving around the room. Suddenly Rowena started to shiver and she grabbed Alfie's arm, moving closer to him. "There's someone else in here." she whispered.

Alphard raised his glass to his lips again. He threw the cup back to drink but there was nothing left but ice. Alphard put the glass down on the table that was between he and Morgana. He looked at the young Brutus with a piercing gaze. He knew the boy did not like him. But hatred and envy were not strangers to Alphard. Alphard rose out of his seat slowly. He could tell that Morgana was going to take long at the door. He might as well head downstairs to see what was going on.
As he emerged in the entrance room that was the main room for Morgana's potion's shop. Alphard was surprised that his two first targets were standing there in the room. Morgana seemed to be trying to hide herself. Alphard grinned to himself. Already knowing that neither of them would recognize Alphard as himself. Since he had stolen the body of a useless Slytherin boy, Rowena still might recognize him. "Professor Ravenclaw. Amber, are they invited?" Alphard remembered the name of the woman Morgana had body-snatched. Alphard narrowed his eyes at Melkor coldly, distrustingly. "Who is he?" Alphard was excitable and goal-driven. But he was not foolish. They outnumbered Melkor and Rowena but it seemed as though the two had come ready for a rough encounter. "Was I not supposed to leave school?" Alphard forced himself to look uncertain now. As he suspected a stupid child would appear.

OOC: Very late. Sorry. IC: Brutus watched as that unworthy blood traitor sat with his mother. He had not foreseen how difficult it would be to watch his wife become his mother. Now that it had happened, Brutus was not so sure he enjoyed the idea. It had seemed a perfect plan only days ago. Now that he found himself submitting to the image of his wife so easily, Brutus felt uneasy at the idea. And now his mother was looking at Alphard like that, with his wive's eyes. It was a new torture for Brutus. Though now he knew he would have to come to suffer it. There was no going back. Brutus stepped forward to get his mother's attention to let her know that he was going to check on the door but she did not hear him out and thought he wouldn't. Brutus knew she was acting in such a way because Alphard was around. Brutus still was not so sure about helping such an abysmal failure as Alphard. Brutus glared at Alphard as his mother left the room. Alphard followed her soon after. So Brutus went as well. Brutus came out from the back and was a bit surprised to see Melkor. Brutus hated the man with all his soul. There was no desire greater for Brutus than destroying Alfie. Brutus joined his mother, wrapping his arms around her from behind protectively. He grinned at Alfie though his words and fiery eyes betrayed his anger at the sight of the man who had humiliated him numerous times. "Alfie. Feeling better already?" Brutus did not care to glance at Rowena. His attention was Alfie's.

Morgana looked about to protest Alfie's entry. She chose not to however. She watched Rowena enter and closed the door behind her. Morgana turned and gazed at Alfie and Rowena. She hated how bold Alfie was and was annoyed that she could not expel the intruders since she was not supposed to be the owner of the building anymore. She looked out through the store's front window as lightning lit the world outside. Morgana sighed, she was probably too well known. But that was why she had to abandon her older body.
"I'm sorry. We weren't to tell anyone yet. But since you persist, Morgana passed away in her sleep two nights ago now." Morgana looked down at the floor, feigning sorrow. Morgana did not turn when Alphard entered the room. His act almost made her laugh. She did look over as Brutus entered the room however. She turned her head back to Rowena. "We'll need the youngest one, little Morgana. She'll come live with us. And we don't send our children to be taught by others." Morgana grinned as Brutus held her.

Alfie glared at Morgana. She couldn't be telling the truth. He wished he was a better legilimens now. That he hadn't wasted so much time on the horcrux studies. Or even more that he still had the Elder Wand. Alfie was still unsure if he should take the wand. Viktor, whoever he was, did not seem associated with the other dark wizards. Though that could easily change. Alfie doubted that he and Rowena would have an easy life. That was why he always wanted her near. Especially in the castle. The days would be dark and dangerous. He turned and watch Alphard approach, though he didn't know it was his father. Alfie held a hand out to the boy, "Alphard Valenceus. They call me Alfie." Alfie left out his true first name, as he always did for formal greetings.
Brutus' appearance almost caused Alfie to instinctively reach for his wand. The two had a history. Brutus was a formidable opponent. Alfie knew that the only reason he'd beaten Brutus in battle before now was because of his Elder Wand. Brutus' question unsettled Alfie greatly. If he knew that Alfie was poisoned and not Rowena, what else did he know? Would he know that Alfie no longer possessed the wand? Alfie rubbed his mouth softly. "I am feeling fine. Thank you, Brutus." Alfie turned his head to Rowena. He watched her for a moment. Seeming to gauge whether or not he should sacrifice himself to let her escape or not. "Your mother passed? You don't seem too worried about it." Alfie turned back to Brutus, the most menacing presence in the room to him.

Rowena didn't release her hold on Alfie's arm. Her fingers involuntarily gripped his shirt even tighter, due to the strange feeling that wouldn’t leave her. Things only got worse when a man walked down the stairs and stopped in front of them. Rowena looked at him, trying to remember who he was and it suddenly came to her mind that he could be one of their students. She didn’t know his name, only that he had been sorted in Slytherin house. There was something about him, the way he behaved or talked, that made her feel even more nervous and almost frightened. Rowena greeted him with a small polite nod. She glanced at Alfie when he told him his name, wondering if they had made a mistake by coming to visit Morgana.
The man who walked downstairs was a stranger to Rowena. She had never seen him before, but she most certainly didn’t like the way he looked at Alfie. There was something in his eyes that gave him away, the pure envy and hatred, which made Rowena feel sick. A man like that wouldn’t hesitate to do anything to hurt the person he obviously hated. Brutus? The name made Rowena wonder where she had heard it before. Whoever the man was, he obviously knew that Alfie had drunk the poisoned drink, not her. With Brutus standing next to Morgana and the other younger man near them, Rowena and Alfie were outnumbered. However, they were probably more skilled that the trio, so they could win the duel easily. After all, Alfie had won many duels in his youth, before... Before he lost the Elder wand. A small unwanted voice whispered inside her mind. Rowena sighed, she had to make sure that there would be no duel. They had only come to talk to Morgana, not to kill her or anyone else... at least Rowena had. She turned to look at Alfie because for some reason she felt that he was looking at her. Rowena interpreted his expression correctly and just shook her head, to prevent him from doing something foolish or brave to let her escape. “I’m not going anywhere without you.” She whispered, with only slightest movement of her lips.
Another lightning flashed across the sky and lit the long street outside. Rowena shivered. He eyes flew from one face to another and she finally focused her gaze on the young woman next to her, since the two men obviously didn't find her interesting. Rowena took a deep shocked breath and her eyes widened in shock. It was an unexpected turn; perhaps Morgana had poisoned herself by mistake. Rowena opened her mouth to say something, but Alfie was faster. Rowena personally wasn’t surprised that Morgana’s family didn’t seem to be grieving. Morgana wasn’t the type of person for whom anyone would cry, at least Rowena thought so. “You can’t just come and take one of our students away. What gives you the right to do that?” She raised her head as she looked at the girl. It probably wasn’t the smartest move, but Rowena couldn’t just let them take away one of her students. “I won’t let you.” She added, finally letting go of Alfie and crossing her arms.

Alphard stared slightly open-mouthed more in fascination than surprise. He was not aware that Morgana had a history with Rowena, though it became clear why she had finally decided to send Brutus to seek out his soul. Alphard did not like playing to someone else's tune. He looked to Brutus and witnessed the same malice or a greater one for his son that Morgana had for Rowena. Alphard put his hand to his mouth and almost began to laugh. He faked a cough and lowered his hands. "Excuse me. I might be intruding." Alphard passed behind Alfie and Rowena and as he passed them looked sidelong at Morgana and Brutus, he grinned a bit and waved.
The door was in front of him in a few steps and he pulled it open. "I can make my own way back to the castle. And dear, Amber. I am sorry. But I will not help you. I'll leave the work to you. Finish if you can, I'll make sure it's done if you can't." Alphard walked through the door but turned around before stepping out again. "I'll see you soon, Alphard." With that Alphard disapparated suddenly. Leaving the door ajar with rain and thunder rolling in. Nothing could ever control Alphard Valenceus. Even those he owed his life to.

Brutus was quite surprised by the demand his mother made to Rowena. He had thought that she wanted to leave her entire past life behind her. Despite his surprise and a faint sting of envy toward his youngest sister, Brutus did not show his true feelings except possibly through his revealing eyes. He chose not to speak, out of fear that his voice would betray him as well. Brutus unwrapped himself from Morgana and allowed himself to be distracted from Alfie while he gazed out through the window at the momentarily thunder-lit road.
Brutus' attention was brought back to Alfie in full. Brutus grinned and almost chuckled. It was quite obvious that Alfie was skeptical of Morgana's claims. Mother was never a very convincing liar, usually relying far too much on Occlumens to hide the truth. He watched Alfie, could tell that Alfie was visibly upset over some circumstance. "Quite the contrary, my good man, it is a hell to smile and entertain guests while I still grieve for my mother." As if on cue, Brutus noticed Alphard move though he did not look directly at Mr. Valenceus. The Dark Wizard revealed that he was leaving and Brutus was both gladenned and angered at the news. Brutus hated Alphard, he was immensely ecstatic to be rid of him. Though Brutus was also aware that his mother beside him was expecting Alphard to fulfill her own desires. Though he was glad that Alphard did not seem interested, the pain of rejection that Morgana faced was on Brutus heart as well.
Rowena spoke up against his mother's demand and a fury swept over Brutus. He did not allow anyone, young or old, defy his mother's direct demand. Brutus' eyes revealed his fury as they finally met Rowena. Taunting her came to mind immediately, cursing of hexing her second. Despite his emotional state at the moment, Brutus kept himself under control. He began drily and shakily, "My lady," revealing a mix of restrained desires. "Ravenclaw, surely you cannot deny us this. With Mother's lamentful death and the father's absence, we are the only loving family the girl now has. She cannot be expected to study while mourning for her mother. Just as well, your escort can attest to my full willingness to use extreme and deadly force to meet my needs. My sister comes with us to Ireland and that's the end of that discussion." Even during Alfie's reign as the Elder Wand master, Brutus never feared a confrontation with Alfie. Beyond the killing curse and the blasting curse, Brutus repertoire was mainly defensive spells. A strange leaning for a Dark Wizard, but Brutus' use of his size and brute force made the skill set invaluable in terms of self-preservation.

Morgana returned Alfie's glare. He had always been an insolent boy. Though Morgana's mother used the same adjective to describe her as well. She had actually considered trying to seduce Alfie several times. Despite his obvious lack of dedication to the pureblood supremacy, he was very handsome. "Call me a liar to my face, old man!" Morgana sighed to herself. It was funny, she was actually nearly two decades his elder. Though she did not laugh, being able to call him old was very pleasing to her ego. She was getting tired of being considered the 'old one' during conversations.
Morgana turned her attention to Rowena as the Hogwarts Founder refused to let her daughter go. She was released by Brutus at the same time. Morgana stepped back and looked away, her expression was one of as if she'd been struck across the face. She would have preferred to insult Morgana and insist that she give up the girl. However, for the purpose of keeping her identidy hidden, she did not return her gaze to Morgana again.
Instead her gaze was drawn by Alphard. She hadn't noticed him moving for the door until he waved. She thought that by his statement he would return to the sitting room. She watched him approach the door. When he spoke, she narrowed her eyes at him. She decided she did not like the name 'Amber'. It was highly Mugglish. When Alphard vanished, Morgana sighed. She knew he had never cared about purebloods much. Just as his son, they weren't faithful to their people.
When Brutus brought them back to the subject of her daughter's future, Morgana turned and looked up at him. She smiled, though she did not agree with the way he began to argue it. She would not beg Rowena, she'd much sooner lose a duel to the woman. But when he began his threat, Morgana especially liked the way he continued in that same begging tone. She was very happy that Brutus would really do anything for her. "He's already been into your castle, to kill one of your Professors. Although I daresay you should thank him for it. Unworthy mudblood deserved what she got."
