Alphard came upon to solitary house quickly. A black wisp of smoke, he descended to the ground from out of the black, night sky. As he collided with the ground flame shoot out around him in a cone before it rose and evaporated into the air. Alphard narrowed his eyes at the doorway. A cold expression barely visible in the cloudy moonlight. Alphard's wand was already in hand. He rose his hand and the door to the house unlocked. He could tell there was a trace of magical resistance but it seemed that the Veela had still not managed to master magic.
Alphard entered the house. He could almost smell her now. Though her scent was not as enticing as it had been. Alphard's wand held up, he trained it on the man of the house when he came out to see what had disturbed his enchantments. "Where are they, Boris?!" The Veela somehow drew its wand without Alphard noticing. Alphard was hit by a spell that blew him over to his back. He lost his temper in an instant and was on his feet again. Another spell soared toward him. Alphard flourished his cloak out in front of it and caught it as though with a shield. He then executed his own attack and did not hold back, "Avada Kedavra!" The green light hit the aging Veela in the chest.
Alphard shook his cloak to dust it off. He stepped over the lifeless body of his former ally. It now occured to Alphard that Boris had not recognized him. Alphard laughed softly at the way it had worked out.
Alphard stopped at the door the man must have come out of, it was the one that wasn't barred and locked and it hung open. Alphard pushed it open with his free hand. The room was empty. He looked to another door, it was unlocked but closed. As he reached for the doorknob, he heard the knocking from behind the third locked door. Alphard stared at this door for a moment as though he could see through it.
After a moment, he pushed the second door open. A woman was cradling a small child in her arms. "Let go of my child, woman!" Alphard screamed loudly. He saw confusion and fear mix when Boris' wife heard his command. She put Lyncis down and stood in front of him protectively. Alphard's face contorted in rage and he raised his wand again, "Avada Kedavra!" The woman's expression changed to one of recognition as she must have just realized who was assaulting her home. It was too late, however, she had angered him too greatly. Alphard lowered his wand to his side. "You are free, my son. Come to your father." He smiled warmly, despite the double murder he had just commited.
