It was Eliphas' perception that he was perfect, most agreed with him. Unless they were in his family. Since he was just a boy, Eliphas had always been the little brother, the insignifigant one. Eliphas waved away a cute bar maid who came too close. He was not sure but he could smell something wrong about her. Perhaps it was just the way of these Northern barbarians to smell horrid. But Eliphas reminded himself that her scent was actually quite enticing, though it held a distinct peculiarity about it.
Eliphas finally showed interest in something as a professor from Hogwarts came into the bar. Eliphas sat forward and stared at the professor with deep interest. Normally that would mean that Eliphas wanted you dead. But in this case, Eliphas merely wanted to get into the castle. He was ever a fanatic of Salazar Slytherin, and would do anything to meet the man.
Eliphas stood and approached the professor. He stood before the teacher and bowed low. When he rose, Eliphas introduced himself. "Lestrange, my mighty Professor. Eliphas Lestrange. It is a pleasure to meet a professor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. May I have a word?"

The night had been slow. There weren't any students from the castle tonight, they weren't to be allowed service anymore after nightfall. So Jess had kindly done her part to shoo them away though she was young enough to be one of them. All that remained were a few older men who should probably be told to pack up soon as well. There was also a rather sinister looking man who had twice waved her away when she tried to serve him. Someone else had had to serve him. Which made Jess a bit angry, since it had been her turn to serve. Though more because it seemed he could provide a large tip.
Jess was simply walking by him now when he put up his hand rudely and waved her away again. Jess imagined that he moved for his wand and got scared and jumped away quickly. She hurried back at a steady walk to the bar. She would have normally complained to him but he looked as though he'd curse her if she even stayed too close to him for too long. Jess turned as the door swung open and was about to greet the person when she noticed the dark figure rise. Jess shrank where she stood and waited breathlessly to see what he would do. She leered at him as he approached the new arrival and greeted them. Jess tore her eyes away from him and leaned against the bar with crossed arms.

Nefertiti had thought she could brave the cold of the North at first. But she had been forced to go out and seek heavier clothing. She had already changed into her new set of robes at the local robes for all occasions. Nefertiti came down the main street towards the Three Broomsticks, shaking with arms wrapped around herself. Her hands clasped around her forearms tightly. She gasped at the site of the Inn, she decided to stop to warm up with a drink. Nefertiti hurried toward the shop at a quick walk. She passed a rather large man with a thick beard. She did not know him but smiled sweetly and greeted him softly. "Hello, sir." The man lifted his hat and seemed to enjoy her accent as much as her appearance. Nefertiti's grin widened at the positive reception. She stopped and without incanting casted the Patronus charm with her wand. It was a common greeting in Egypt among magical folk to let others see your corporeal Patron. For identification purposes in long-distance communication. The fatty man clearly did not know what was going on, but was impressed with the feat all the same. Nefertiti's patronus was an eight foot tall Sphinx, a rather impressive creature. Though she had only seen one pass through her home once as a girl. Alfie Valenceus had killed it because he could not solve its riddle. Only Neffy had witnessed the slaying. She warned her mother but the foolish woman was smitten hard by love.
Nefertiti grinned again when the man finally showed his patron. He seemed to find his chicken alot less impressive, since he became embarrased immediately. Nefertiti found the bird absolutely delightful however. She ended their meeting by kissing the man on the cheek. Neffy did not usually talk much, she tended to speak much too loudly when ever she did. She kept going toward the Inn, seeming warmer already.
Nefertiti entered the Inn with a partial grin on her face. She noticed a rather beautiful looking bar maid and was about to call her. A man stepped in front of Neffy though. He was obviously not from this land. His clothing and attitude were much too bold for this land. Nefertiti knew the Lestrange family was an ally of hers to the Muggle's leader Valentinus. She had met his brother, Loki, but was never introduced to Eliphas. Though she had seen him before. "You seem to know much, Lestrange. I only just started as a professor. I am Nefertiti. I thank you for your kind words." Nefertiti grinned at Eliphas. She could tell he was usually feared. She did not fear him however.
Nefertiti contemplated the situation for a moment. Nefer was a cruel man, but she had agreed not to betray him. Though Eliphas was a very charming man. As charming as Nefer had been when they had first met. Nefertiti smirked, Alfie had vowed to keep her safe to Nefer. So that was his responsibility and he wasn't here right now. "Sure. I can talk with you." Nefertiti took off her cloak and put it over her shoulder. "Are you going to buy me a drink, Lestrange?"

Eliphas found Nefertiti's appearance very inviting. He was aware of her husband and had actually already beaten the pampered noble in several duels. Envy was why they had never been introduced. Few were the number of people who knew but did not envy Eliphas. Though Eliphas himself was usually envious of those same people in return. Eliphas grinned, "When it is news of you, I can hardly ignore it. No one can." Eliphas was amused how well she pretended not to know him. She seemed to have even confounded herself on the matter.
Eliphas hated Melkor Valentinus, but most dark wizards did. He was a disgrace to the dark arts. Always using it for his own personal gain rather than for the good of the pureblood cause. Eliphas' father had always said the Valenceus' greed was the only thing preventing the Muggles from ever being destroyed. "That is good, Neffy. That is good." Eliphas smiled and took her cloak from her. "I'll take that, dear." He held the cloak at his side. "Indeed." Eliphas turned to the young Veela, "A bottle of firewhiskey, love. Be swift, young bunny."
Eliphas put an arm around Nefertiti and led her back to his table. He pulled out a chair for her and signalled for her to take the seat. "Do not mind the filth serving tonight, she is harmless."

Nefertiti was nobility. Though the Lestranges were indeed wealthy and powerful. They were not related to kings or Egyptian. And so, Neffy is forced to pretend she does not know Eliphas despite their intimate past. Even so, they most probably had nothing to fear being this far north. But if their relationship was known, they'd be hunted and killed just like Neffy's mother had been. "I have no idea what you mean. My reputation is angelic."
The Muggles had always made good slaves, Neffy had no wish to put them away. Though she was frightened of her nightmares of the Northern barbarians when she was younger. It was said that they were all free to do what they pleased. An idea that was spat upon in her land. She cast a dark glance at the barmaid. Neffy was a bit jealous of what Eliphas had called her. She thought at first he'd been overcome by the Veela's charm and was meaning to force him out of it when he took her aside and revealed that he knew what she was. Nefertiti grinned and nodded with satisfaction. The thought of having to kill or harm the girl left her mind. Though Nefertiti would never look upon the girl pleasantly. "I see. Well the barbarian children are dreadful. But I've noticed some civilised young in the castle. This weather is awful. The school really should be moved to a more decent location. I cannot believe that this is honestly supposed to be the best magical school in the world. If it wasn't for Salazar, I bet that would not be a truth."

Eliphas grinned at the idea of Nefertiti being 'angelic', though he was aware that most people thought of her as such. As far as he knew, only Eliphas had seen her darker, more passionate side. Unlike himself, she would never duel in competition or contest. If she hated you, you'd think she was a friend. If you were a friend, you were usually ignored. Now that he thought on it, he should not have been surprised by her greeting words. "Of course, Princess." Eliphas grinned and took the firewhiskey from the Veela without looking at the animal. "So, you've been to see Slytherin yet? I want to meet him. But I was turned away at the gates this morning. I probably should not have been so forceful with them." Eliphas laughed and popped the top off the bottle.
He took a sip from the bottle before pouring a glass and handing it to Neffy. "Is it true that they're campaigning Melkor for Headmaster of the school?" Eliphas was grinning though his hatred for the Valenceus' was great. He would take the first chance to kill Melkor if it came to him. "Father never knew what the Valenceus men ever saw in these barbarians." He leaned closer, "I got word from my brother yesterday, the 'white knight' sibling. Blood traitor. But he seems to agree with us on Valentinus. Old Valentinus sent a son to Hogwarts. You should be on the lookout for him. No doubt he's on the looking for some way to steal magic. Accursed Muggles!" Eliphas spat onto the ground then poured himself a glass of firewhiskey.
