Cole had scoured the entire castle for Sarah. She was gone again but hadn't bothered to let him know. Cole had been caught leering at another girl. He had got away with it by blaming it on Abigail's Veela Charm, though he was certain Sarah knew how the charm worked she had pretended to believe him. Though she hadn't given him too much trouble, she avoided him for the rest of the day. He knew looking for her was useless if she didn't want to be found. Even Cole with his ability for stealth and love of girls hadn't been able to gain access to the girl's dormitory. But not from lack of trying. He had recieved seven warnings from Professor Ravenclaw about trying to sneak up to the girl's dormitories.
Cole spread himself out on the sofa of the Ravenclaw Common Room. He chuckled loudly to himself when Abigail herself entered the Common Room. Cole stood and waved her toward him. He wanted to thank her and apologize for what he'd done. It was the least he could do. Though he was prone to seeking innocent initiations with girls. He even fooled himself sometimes.

Abigail was exhausted, apparently rumour had gotten had gotten around that she tried to charm a married man. Cherry was still avoiding her. So she was lonely as well. Abigail had been nice enough to not point out to Sarah that she was in fact innocent but she was cursing Cole Potter's name by the time she reached the Common Room. A few people looked at her. Some were angry glares. Abigail didn't know if she was distracting them from studying or if they had heard of that gossip.
Abigail saw Cole stand and beckon to her. She would have normally ignored such an invitation. But she wanted to get him to apologize. Abigail answered him with a lazy wave of her hand. She then walked over to him and sat on the sofa next to him. "I hope you're happy. You've turned every girl in the school against me." Abigail crossed her arms. She wanted nothing more than to head to her dorm and ready for bed. But she couldn't remain an outcast. She wanted Cole's word that he'd do something about her troubled reputation.

Cole chuckled lightly at Abigail's weak wave. He grinned and took his seat once again. Abigail was very desirable to him as usual. He did not take his eyes off her even as he moved. Cole's gaze was drawn by a first-year staring at them. Cole turned his head to the girl, finally taking his eyes off Abigail. He grinned and laughed silently before sitting back. He spread across his side of the sofa and gazed into Abigail's eyes. "You know, I thought I'd never get you to speak to me again."
Cole chuckled more to learn that Abigail had been getting trouble for what he'd done to her. It amused him though he was very lonely. Sarah's constant disappearances had made him quite adept at hiding his own trouble. They were in seperate houses after all. In truth, the only time Cole felt good about himself was when he was home for the Summer with Sarah. At school, he was a different person. "I am sorry. You were innocent though I blamed you. Forgive me, please?" Cole laughed softly again. It was obvious he really didn't care about forgiveness.

Abigail leaned forward in the seat. Cole's leering was making her highly uncomfortable. He didn't seem to care about what had happened. Abigail wondered if he even loved his wife. Sarah seemed nice enough to her, though her capability to keep a man like Cole company was questionable. "I was not going to. But you are lucky that I am tired out, my mind is not as sharp as it should be." Abigail stated in an attempt to sound bored. She dared a gaze in Cole's direction, he was still leering at her. She looked away again and shifted in her seat uncomfortably.
Abigail turned back to Cole when he began to chuckle at her. She sighed, feeling very insulted by his actions. She balled her hand into a fist and hit Cole's shoulder with the back of her hand. "You aren't sorry. You are so cruel. How do you sleep at night?" Abigail shrugged and leapt to her feet to head off to bed. She did not want to be around Cole anymore. She was sad now, his joking manner towards the incident caused a deep injury to her spirit.

Cole almost groaned at Abigail's reaction. He had seen this sort of thing before, of course, and knew such an action would not help him. Although the truth behind his jesting was that he was torn between making Abigail happy and keeping Sarah from disappearing for an even longer duration. He knew that it was a selfish in that respect, but through a mixture of not caring for that and justifying it with Sarah's well-being made him able to keep it up.
Before he could stop himself, Cole bounded off his seat and caught hold of Abigail's hand. He had forgotten how soft it was and it stunned him for a moment. "Sorry. Sorry. Sorry!" Cole started in a whisper but climbed into a yell with each successive repitition of the word. He released Abigail's hand, understanding now why she had started ignoring him after their second year. He was still a child, while she had grown up. "I can't control. . ." Cole did not care if he was disturbing studious persons or feeding gossipers. "It's my fault, I know. But she's never here at Hogwarts with me. I get used to it. Then while she is with me, I overlook it."
