The only sound filling the empty room was constant squeaking of Rowena's quill against the parchment. The witch held her dark head only inches away from the wooden surface of the desk, completely focused on the letter she was writing. Everything had to be perfect for their guests; it was the first time Hogwarts would be hosting such an important event and welcoming such important visitors. Everything had to be perfect; if their guests were harbouring hostility toward them, Hogwarts staff and students had to do their best and present themselves in the best possible light.
Rowena lowered her quill and placed it into the ink pot, her dark eyes flying from one side of the parchment to another, reading her words as the ink dried. Then she sat back with a small satisfied smile on her face, pleased with a job well done. There was a knock on the door and Rowena looked up from her work. "Come in!"

Today was another beautiful day at Hogwarts. Except when she was in classes, she had spent the day with her fourteen year old sister Adaia. Now however, her sister had gone to spend time with her own friends, and Aria was headed to the office of Professor Rowena Ravenclaw, her role model. It was her dream to make a name for herself based on her own abilities, and her own ideas, rather than her family's or husband's, just as her head of house had. Though she did not necessarily want to do so in the same way. Though she wouldn't mind apprenticing under one of the professors here for Potions.
As she reached the door to her founder's office she shifted her books to one hand and knocked. She had heard that other schools would be coming to Hogwarts to participate in some sort of tournament, though she did not know much about it. Perhaps if she asked her Head of House would tell her? It was worth a try. When she heard her professor's voice from inside she smiled and opened the door. "Good afternoon Professor Ravenclaw. How are you this fine day?" She asked the woman formally as she approached her desk. As with her parents, being around Rowena Ravenclaw always prompted her to be on her best behavior, probably because she did not want to embarrass herself in front of someone she held in such high esteem.

"Miss Hufflepuff! What do you think you are doing?," someone snapped from behind her.
Startled Anni dropped the paint bomb on her new shoes. Groaning loudly she passed a hand through her thick blonde waves, knowing Helga would be upset at her for ruining the shoes. Slowly she turned around and looked up at the school's healer. Shrugging she attempted to look as innocent as possible, however, the paint was a clear giveaway.
"Nothing Madame."
"Hmm. I see. Well then follow me, please."
Anni flinched and as the healer walked past her she said quickly, "Hel... Professor Hufflepuff is away."
"I know," was all the healer said in response.
The woman stopped in her tracks and turned around to face the young girl, "Come along now."
With her head bowed Hannah quietly followed the healer. It did not take her long to recognise the route they were using - she was being taken to Rowena. Better than to the Headmaster, a little voice comforted her. Maybe if she begged enough, Rowena would not tell her sister that she got in trouble again. Doubtful. But it was worth a try.

Rowena sat in her chair, looking at the door when it opened. A large smile appeared on her face when she saw her visitor. Rowena Ravenclaw always tried to be kind to her students. "Good afternoon, Miss Prince." she greeted Aria when she entered the room. "I am very well, thank you. How are you?" Rowena gestured towards an empty chair on the other side of her desk. "Do come in and please sit down." she said gently.
"Now, tell me what can I -" Rowena started, but stopped when someone knocked on her door. It wasn't even similar to Aria's gentle knock; the person on the other side of the door was eager to see Rowena and was probably quite upset. Raising her eyebrows slightly, Rowena looked away from Aria and to the door, repeating: "Come in!"
