The smell of parchment and freshly fallen rain surrounded Helena as she made her way to the Clock Tower. Her morning classes had just ended which meant that Helena had nearly an hour to waste between her lunch and free period. She lifted her skirts to make climbing the stone stairs easier, though it did little to protect her as she read a scroll of Potions. However, Helena was used to doing almost anything while reading so she only nearly tripped once. She dropped the fabric she had gathered in her hand of her skirt once she reached the towers and sighed.
For the first times since Helena had begun her reading she looked up from the ink stained paper and took in her surroundings. On her left was the Ravenclaw common room and on her right was the Clock tower- Helena decided to head towards the Clock. She had always found the ticking of the metal and the fresh hair calming to her. So, within a few minutes Helena had settled herself quietly in a corner of the tower where the sun could stream in and laid her parchment down in front of her. Her dark eyes scanned over the words and snorted rather unladylike, disagreeing with its contents.
”Wormwood would do just as well with less side effects….” Helena muttered to herself with a haughty attitude and suddenly regretted not having brought some ink and a quill with her. The Head Girl scolded herself quietly for her forgetfulness and ignored the sound of students making their way through the castle for lunch. She figured that though some had decided to wander instead of eating in the Great Hall, she was still unlikely to be bothered from her corner in the tower.
