"Is this enough Madame?" the young chambermaid asked when she believed that the corset shouldn't be tightened any further.
The 45 year old Beauxbaton Headmistress lifted her gaze, locking her eyes with her own reflection in the full-length mirror before her. A soft hmmm escaped her vocals as she inspecting her form.
"Tighter," Yuliya finally stated.
Caryna (pronounced Carina) pursed her lips at the request but did not comment. It was not her place to contest Madame Mitrevska's decision; as such she did as told. Pleased with her attire, Yuli dismissed the chambermaid and then sat down on the stool of her vanity set. For the next 10minutes she busied herself with brushing out her long ebony hair.
A knock on the bedroom door alerted her of the time. Regally she rose to her feet and without inviting the newcomer inside stepped outside of the room. Yuliya turned her head slightly and greeted her deputy with a curt nod before making her way downstairs and to the dining hall. Normally she would have taken the staff door at the back of the hall, but today she wanted to capture the students attention.
With one swift movement of her wrist the mahogany doors swung open. Lifting her chin high in the air, Yuli marched in between the students' tables and towards the staff table. The other professors watched her intently. Some knew of her intentions and about the announcement she had to make; while others were completely oblivious. Yuliya did not tolerate cliques amongst her staff, but she trusted some more than others.

Kendra was nearly taken by surprise when the headmistress entered the room. She rose from her seat as quickly as she had noticed her enter. Excitedly, Kendra shook her hands in front of her. She calmed herself a moment later and clasped her hands over her mouth as she watch her head teacher. "She's so perfect." Kendra commented to herself out loud. Kendra couldn't stop herself from hopping in place with excitement. She had always adored Madame Mitrevska. Though she didn't know the Professor personally, she imagined the woman was nothing short of perfection. Kendra bowed her head as the headmistress passed by her. She silently hoped her devotion would be noticed.

Brigit had entered the hall less than a minute before the headmistress. She had taken her seat and was about to take a large piece of a meat pie when the door opened and Madame Mitrevska entered the room. In spite of her natural arrogance, common to all vampires, Brigit had to admit that the woman was a sight to behold. She was very beautiful in what Brigit believed to be a new dress and she walked as regally as a queen. The girl was proud to be her student, so she smiled broadly when Yuliya passed by her table and greeted the headmistress with a soft "Bon soir, madame." She heard a girl, Kendra Lucidaes, who sat next to her comment that Yuliya was perfect. Brigit had to agree with her, so she glanced at Kendra and winked. The headmistress had for some reason not chosen the staff door, but entered the hall through the same door Brigit had used. There had to be a reason for that and Brigit was eager to learn what it was. She obviously had something important to tell them, but the question was: what?

Yuli had her gaze on her chair, which was carved from the finest wood that money could buy. Her grandparents, founders of the school, had it made especially for her knowing that one day their darling Yuliya would run Beauxbaton. All eyes were on her and she could not help but stand straighter, after all she did have a reputation to uphold. A soft timid bon soir caught her attention. Yuliya stopped in her tracks and looked down to see two students gazing up at her. The headmistress allowed her features to soften and she smiled at the girls, acknowledging Brigit's greeting with a nod before proceeding towards the front of the hall. There was silence all around her, all she could hear was the soft thudding of her heels as she stepped behind the podium.
