The rusted metallic door in front of Lesuth remained motionless. Lesuth crouched for comfort under an invisibilty cloak. Waiting to catch Salazar at his evil deeds. He'd taken up his nightly vigil for the past fortnight. Everytime Salazar came out to stretch his legs, the founder usually seemed to realize he was being followed though it was unlikely he knew it was Lesuth. Strangely, he had not stood watch over Salazar on Professor Gryffindor's orders but for Headmaster Valenceus. Lesuth personally distrusted both men but considered Mr. Valenceus the lesser of the two evils. In fact, the cloak he used was Valenceus' own cloak. Lesuth's eyes widened when Salazar's office door slid open. He heard a hissing. Lesuth punched himself hard in the temple. Of course, the old devil's snakes had detected him every night. Why hadn't he thought of that before?
Lily emerged from the doorway. Lesuth caught a glimpse of Salazar behind his desk. The Founder was grinning ear-to-ear, his gaze right at Lesuth. Lesuth narrowed his eyes angrily. Before the door closed, Lesuth heard an unmistakeable cackle from within. Lesuth wondered now if Melkor and Salazar weren't playing him a fool. Head bowed, Lesuth pulled the cloak off his head in full-view of Lily. He grumbled, "Good evening," to her and trudged along slowly back toward the stair that went up to the Entrance Hall.

"No, professor, I don't know anything about his whereabouts." Lily lied once more, looking Salazar straight in the eye. No, you are not to see anything... she thought, narrowing her eyes and trying as hard as she could to prevent the Founder from using legilimency on her. He was very good at it - but so was Lily. She had practiced. Her innocent dark blue eyes never left Salazar's and the older wizard just shrugged and looked away, allowing her to leave. "Good night, professor." Lily spoke as she departed. When she opened the door, Salazar's snake crawled past her, hissing. It was obviously bringing its owner a message. The last thing she heard before the door closed was a small cackle. Oh, well, the ghastly old man probably got what he wanted...
Lily was startled by Lesuth's sudden appearance, but she managed to hide it. At least she hoped so. The boy must have thought they were all fools, but Lily had noticed him before, lurking around Salazar's room. He must have been coming every night. Whatever his intentions were, she didn't care. After all, she wasn't particularly fond of Salazar, although he had placed her in his house. She often wondered if he had made a mistake, though. "Good evening." she answered and slowly started to walk towards the Slytherin common room. However, she suddenly changed her mind, turned and followed Lesuth. "Hey!" she called after him. "Prince!" she quickened her pace and managed to reach him just below the stairs that led to the Entrance Hall. Salazar couldn't hear them now.

Lesuth continued past Lily. Feeling mightily dejected and scarred, he only wanted to get to sleep now. Classes, school work and Melkor's mission had taken quite a toll on him by now. It was unlikely that Slytherin was up to any mischief, Professor Gryffindor had never suspected him before. Despite it, Lesuth wanted so badly to prove Salazar was plotting some horrible crime. He had just decided he'd pass on by the Headmaster's office to drop off the cloak before he went to bed. He'd also ask the Headmaster not to bother him again. Lesuth silently mused on who was fooling who in the entire thing. No matter which way he split it, Lesuth had wasted a lot of his own time and energy. So he decided to put his mind to his upcoming exams instead.
Lily's call startled Lesuth. He almost reacted as he usually did when called down in the dungeons, by grabbing his wand. He didn't do so however, for some reason he didn't register Lily's voice as threatening. He simply turned to her and with rather dry and bloodshot eyes asked, "Ah. Miss Weatherwax. My fellow Sixth year Prefect. May I be of assistance?" Lesuth was rather formal, with a bow as he said her name. He was usually formal with students from other houses. Even when they were younger than he. "You must forgive my appearance, I am unsettled by this dreary corridor. And have been here much too long in recent days." With sagging shoulders and a dark frown, Lesuth forced a momentary smile but dropped it quick. He was not to be too friendly lest she prove less than grateful for it.
