Salazar Slytherin sat at his desk, paper filling his eyes as his quill flew over ones beside him as he read other entry form. Hogwarts was slowly getting more popular as it was and the founders were splitting up the load. There were teacher entry forms, before they even got to see a founder to be interviewed. Plus there was his already student base, lesson plans, homework he had to grade, potions he had to test and other such things that were surely going to drive him to insanity if he didn't get them done soon. And nothing seemed to be going right for the moment, so it was safe to say that Salazar wasn't in the most welcoming of moods, especially since he spent an afternoon taking care of a gryffindor child while the "great and noble" Godric went out on one of his silly adventures.
The sound of ruffling and shuffling, Carnicopia slithered around the floor, her long black scales glittery against the dark oak wood floors of his office. She hissed and was rather more content than the founder was at the moment. She was entertaining herself, by chasing spiders around the ground, seeing as Loocious was far too large to fit in the rooms other than his secret room and Carnicopia couldn't get in there without Salazar. Fingers running through his dark shaggy, short hair, he looked up from his papers to hear foot steps and very wispy thoughts coming through. But they weren't Melody's thoughts, they seemed far less innocent and plus, these were just thoughts, Melody's came with images due to her uncontrollable visions. This, however, was still nonetheless a student of his.
Grasping his wand, he tapped the air and watched the deep oak door open before looking back down to his paper work. "Enter at your own will, Child!"

An elegant eagle owl swooped in through the open window and landed gracefully on Auriga Lyncis Black's exposed shoulder. She winced slightly, as the owl's claws dug into her flesh and offered it her gloved hand. The owl eased it's grip and nipped affectionately at Auri's ear before hopping onto her arm. Auriga lowered the owl and unclasped the letter from it's leg. After receiving a generous reward, the owl took off into the night. Auriga sat down on her bed, inspected the envelope. It appeared to be thicker and finer than usual. She recognised her father's scrawny handwriting on the front and flipped it over. Auri passed a perfectly manicured finger on the Black's Family crest before finally opening the letter. Inside the envelope was a smaller one, addressed to none other than Salazar Slytherin. With a raised eye brow, Auriga unfolded the sheet of parchment and skimmed through her father's words.
My dearest daughter,
I hope this letter reaches you in good health. It is very important that you deliver the enclosed letter to Professor Slytherin immediately. I chose not to send it directly to him, for fear that it might be intercepted and also because I believe it is more appropiate if you hand it to him personally. I have bestowed you this task because I trust your judgement and discretion. Have good care of yourself and if you need anything do not hesitate to tell me.
Your loving father, Cygnus Black.
A small smile was tugging in the corner of her mouth. Auriga was not only pleased because her father trusted her but also because he as good as said he would do anything in return for her silence. Auriga stood up and slipped on her robes over her clothes before pocketing Slytherin's letter. She then replaced her own letter inside the envelope, reached for her wand and incenerated the envelope. Auriga stepped infront of the mirror before hurrying out of the common room. She started walking towards Slytherin's office, keeping her thoughts as neutral as possible. When she was standing a couple of paces away from the door, it swung open and Slytherin's words greeted her.
Auriga walked right inside the office, pointing her own wand at the door and watching it slam shut. She shifted her gaze to the snake slithering on the ground and smiled at it, almost fondly. Auri shifted her gaze to the professor and bowed in front of him while saying, "Good evening sir. I have a message for you." She straightened herself and moved closer to Slytherin's desk while adding with an air of superiority, "My father believed it would be more discreet, if I handed you the letter myself." Her hand hovered over her pocket, however she didn't attempt to retrieve the letter. Auriga was waiting for Slytherin to speak before handing it to him.

Salazar didn't even look up when he felt the person enter. Definitely one of his students, and he let his mind reading rest, it was making him painfully want to shoot the child in the Slytherin common room lusting after a boy who was really far too dumb for her anyway. But that was besides the point and he was shutting that out of his head this moment. Rubbing his hair once more, scratching his scalp, he let the child in his office shut the door as he continued to read and sign papers. Damn this paper work! Gritting his teeth, he just needed to bite the grain hard and do his damn job. Damn this job, damn this job. Continuing to chant that in his mind, he finally put his quill down and looked up from his hard oak desk.
It was the littlest too dark for either of them to truly see, despite it always being dark, so he tapped his wand on the candles around him and lit up the room a bit and he could fully see the girl in his office. Yes, he knew this one, all too well. Auriga Black, the fourth year slytherin, who was following in the black foot steps with Occlumens/Legilmens, which would mean, here soon he would have to start training the child. With Occlumens/Legilmens, came a whole lot of hardship, he knew from quiet a whole lot of experience. Oh dear merlin, what if this is what it was about, please let it not.
"Well then, Hand it over child" He stated, straightening up in his chair. Flicking his hand, Carnicopia slowly slithered back to his desk, climbing her way onto the top and nesting her way in his papers. "Damnit Carnicopia, I meant come and sleep, not come and riffle through the papers, I have far too many to read and you sleeping on them certainly won't help" He snapped. The Snake poked it's head up and lazily slinked into his lap. Unenthused by this, he decided to leave the reptile be and just look to his student there.
"Do you have any idea what this letter pretains to? I don't believe you would, your father trusts you with delivery but possibly too young for whatever it is inside the package" He groaned, sticking out his hand for the girl to put said letter in.

Auriga focused her narrowed eyes on Slytherin and smiled slightly. She tipped her head to the side and continued watching him with amusement, wondering how long will it take him to notice that she could see everything he was thinking. Auri knew that he possessed the same talents. In fact his were more powerful than hers. She couldn't help but wonder why did he agree to become a founder of Hogwarts, if he wasn't pleased with the job. As the candles sprang to life and the magnificent serpent slithered onto Slytherin's desk, Auriga shifted her attention to the animal.
She chuckled softly and said in an undertone, "I doubt it is about that professor. As you can see I'm not incompetent when it comes to Legilmency and Occlumency." She may be young, but she was also talented and hard working. Auriga looked up at Slytherin with half a smile. Her expression hardened when the professor spoke angrily to the snake. She was brought up to believe that serpents were sacred, therefore she wasn't amused by Slytherin's behaviour. Auriga dug her hand inside her pocket and pulled out the letter.
Once again, she narrowed her eyes at the professor. Upon hearing his words she puffed out her chest and replied, "My father didn't mention anything in the letter he sent me. However, I believe it was out of discretion and not lack of trust." Like many teenagers her age, Auriga didn't think of herself as young and she was offended that Slytherin had suggested it. Auri stepped forwards and placed the letter on the professor's desk before retreating a couple of paces.

"There is no doubt in my mind that your skills are among the best in your year, possible in the school. You are a black, and a Slytherin nonetheless, but I can feel you inside my head and I would be absolutely tickled if you would restrain the urge to enter my mind, as I am yours" He stated completely stone faced. Eyebrow cocked, he looked at Auriga with some interest for a moment then back to his paperwork. The girl was impressive, he knew that very well that she had to be to survive in the world he imagined her father to walk in. Nonetheless, she had so much pride in herself, she had to have something to back it up. So it only made sense she was talented, but Salazar did not need to have his hands even more full then they were. Stroking Carnicopia, he let out a small breath before whispering to her, keeping what he said from his thoughts just so the girl wouldn't hear. Not that it mattered, he was merely apologizing... sort of, continuing to use his left hand to run a soft finger down her shallow scales as he looked down at his papers.
The girl seemed offended, and had he really meant it, he would be pleased. But Slytherin was merely stating his thoughts outloud, but did not feel the need to retract them either. Looking at her he shrugged and took the envelope from his desk and swiftly opened it. "Your father also knows how open a learning Occlumens mind is, when you sleep everything you've seen in the day is open to the public with a simple spell" He looked up to her. If she knew that or not, it was truth, many secrets had been spilled that way in his youth from his friends and allies. "So if it's trust or discretion is up to you, whatever puts you back to sleep, It matter not to me" He pulled the letter out and looked to his snake asleep in his lap then back to the words on the paper.

If Auriga was pleased with his praise, it didn't show in her expression. In fact she appeared to be indifferent. She was not surprised with his words and merely gave a small nod in his direction, knowing that for the time being he wouldn't be able to see her inner thoughts. Auri felt slightly uncomfortable when he started staring at her. As soon as he returned his gaze to his paperwork, the girl's body relaxed. She could hear Salazar's every thought until he started blocking her out. Auriga looked from the professor to the snake with pure fascination, wishing she possessed the talent of parseltongue.
Her eyes narrowed at his words and she replied arrogantly, "I am aware of that, sir. My father has been teaching me these skills for the past two years and I am capable of clearing my mind before going to bed." Auriga wasn't concerned with the issue of sleep as she rarely had any, thanks to her continous nightmares. She was almost certain that her mind was completely safe from outsiders since only her close familiars [&& now Slytherin] knew about her father's private lessons. Auriga remained silent and shrugged in response, while she waited to be dismissed.

"That's always good news" Slytherin spoke in a dull voice as he opened the letter. He kept from her mind and continued to block his from her's. He didn't want her seeing what was on the letter, just yet. She would probably know later anyway, but until he or her father dubbed it the right time, she shouldn't know. Besides, she was a child, she didn't need to know all the dark things her life would be just yet. Slytherin was a horrible person, but not that horrible... yet. Dear Salazar I understand you are in ownership of a rather large reptile, named Loocious. I understand what exactly it is and was hoping for a favor. I am having a meeting with friends of mine and would enjoy you coming to join it. We will be needing aid of Loocious soon aswell and it would mean a great deal to me if you would help me out and loan me him some time as well.
-Black [/center] As short as the letter was, Salazar could feel the full effect of the girl's father trying to use him. Who did he think he was? Asking for favors, did Salazar look like a push-over. And besides, he had a plan for Loocious, he knew exactly what he was going to use the basilisk for. Whatever plan Black had for his lovely snake, he wouldn't let him have it. Putting the letter in his pocket, he folded his hands over the desk and looked to Auriga. He wondered, could he use her like he intended to use Melody. He could have her spy in on the others like he was doing, but the adults were old enough to know someone was trying to read them, but students didn't. He wasn't allowed to look at the other founder's registery of who was pureblood and who wasn't, but he could read their minds and find out, have augira find out where they were going and get loocious to go. It would be so much easier with her help. "Auriga, how good would you say your talents are?"

Auriga could feel that Slytherin was still blocking her out. She wasn't surprised, especially after what he had said only moments before. Auri looked at Salazar curiously as he opened and started reading the letter. Whatever her father had told him didn't seem to please him and although Auriga would have enjoyed being on the plan she wasn't concerned about not knowing. Slytherin's question brought her back to earth and she looked up at him with an amused grin. Auri tipped her head to the side and regarded him in silence before saying arrogantly, "Considering my age... outstanding... sir" She knew there was space to improve, but that was something she would never admit to openly. Especially not in front of Slytherin himself.

(Sorry for the wait, life hates me)
Slytherin smirked and let his hands trace the designs of scales on carnicopia's back as he looked to his student. So, this idea he had, it might actually work as he scooted forward to his desk to sit there. One hand still stroking Carnicopia as his other shifted through papers, not looking at Augria for a moment. So, what would he ask of her first? Should he trick her purposely? No, she would realize it far too quickly. Damn his students being quick. Keeping his mind still blocked through all his heads debate, Slytherin let out a sigh and looked up at her.
"Augria, I want you to look into something for me. There are many students around here that I know are either muggle-born or half-bloods... and I feel that inorder to help your father with his silly favors, I need an accurate number of mud-bloods. Would you help me, but starting a list of all those you can look into and see that their blood is dirty?" He asked, looking at her directly.

Ooc: No worries
She watched the Head of her house through narrowed eyes. Auri folded her arms over her chest and started tapping her foot impatiently. She could tell that he wanted her to do something and Auriga would rather he just told her, than leaving her staring at him for seemingly long minutes. When he finally spoke, a small smile appeared on her face. Auriga could hardly believe that Slytherin was actually giving her permission, and his blessing, to tap into the other student's mind. It was something she already did, but knowing that her skills would be useful to Slytherin and possibly her father made things more exciting. She relaxed her stance and puffed out her chest. "I would be more than happy to be of service sir." She wondered what Slytherin was planning. Nonetheless, whatever it was, she hoped he would be getting rid of the scum infesting Hogwarts.

"Wonderful!" He smirked as he got up from his desk, setting his sleeping snake on the desk where he straightened the papers. For a moment, he said nothing as he sorted them into the cabinets he had charmed to hold millions of papers and still not buldge. Pulling on his cloak onto his arms, he stuffed his wand into his pocket as he gasped a parchment from another cabinet and waved for his student to come up to his desk. He had a special way to keep there from being any mix-up with this. He trusted that Auriga would want all the scum taken from this school, but to keep them from lying and getting away, he knew how to solve this problem.
Pulling a vial from his ice-box, he grinned. To the normal eye it was invisible and looked merely like water. But in truth it was a harsh, glowing yellow vial. He popped the cork and let barely a drop come out onto the folded parchment. The parchment glowed bright for a moment before turning to Auriga. "Right now, it may look like water, but," he took a small needle from his pocket and waved for her hand. "A prick of your blood, and you can see the glow. This glow can not be washed off, and only attaches itself to the skin of dirty blooded magic. If you find yourself near a mud-blood, or a muggle-born, you merely place a dot of this on there skin. They can't see it, but you and I will beable to. When it comes time, there will be no mistake who is unworthy" He grinned at her, waiting for her finger.
"Now, this is a special ink. I formulated it

Auri looked intrigued by what Salazar was doing. She stood slightly on the tip of her toes and peered at his every movement. Her eyes lingered on the sleeping snake. He was so beautiful. Auriga wondered if her father would buy her one if she asked. He probably would. After all Cygnus gave her everything she wanted. The thought brough a smile to her face. When Slytherin beckoned her forwards she obliged and leaned against his desk. With narrowed eyes, she watched Slytherin closely. Her eyes shone with delight and she reached for the vial.
She withdrew her hand when he poured a drop on the parchment. The girl glanced at the paper with high expectations but nothing happened. Auri looked back at Slytherin and gave a small nod as he spoke. Her eyes shifted from the needle to her hand, looking mildly uncomfortable before finally offering her forefinger to the professor and muttering, "For the greater good." Auriga knew the importance of blood supremacy and she would do anything to help her kind.

Salazar took her forefinger, and stabbed it with the needle, he didn't care if it hurt or not, as he took her finger, and pressed on it for a drop of blood to come out, he looked at it and smiled. "See that wasn't so bad child was it now? Salazar said, with this they would know the exact number and his plans would be finalized for this purge of mudbloods, he looked at her calmly, his eyes seemed to stare at her in a real cold way, he touched his beard a little. "I also need something else... can you watch the students, their attitude.. try to go in their minds.. find me the rarest student, the most vicious student of all. He needed to use more of his students to clean up this place, he needed someone who had no true feelings, who wouldn't mind killing or having blood in his hands for the rest of his life. He would need a powerful one.
He sighed calmly as he looked at the girl. "What are you waiting for, go along, find me the student and also don't forget to rout up the Mudbloods and the half-bloods, they are important, take your time for finding the wizard or the witch for my plans."

Auriga stiffened when she felt Salazar's cold hand on her own. She winced when the needle sharply perforated her finger, but she did not withdrew her hand from his. She raised her eye brow and gave a nod of her head at his request. Auri folded her arms over her chest and frowned at Salazar. "I am waiting for the vial, professor," she said imperviously.

What was she waiting for? As he listened to her he sighed, couldn't she take it on her on, he looked at the different papers he had to grade and took out the vial without looking at her. "Here take it, and leave now." He said as he didn't look back at her, he sighed, she wasted enough of his time by staying here. "Send me a letter when everything is done."
