Zara crept quietly into the Great Hall and her eyes quickly rested on their target which was the piano near the far right corner. She lightly skipped over to there and she sat herself down at the piano. Her fingers spread themselves out across the pale white keys. Whilst her fingers pressed down lightly on the keys she began to let herself go and sing out 'My Immortal' (Its by Evanscence). She was so going to be dead if a prefect, proffesor or even worse, a dirty slytherin caught her here but it was well worth it in her opinion.

Cole had been sitting in Slytherin's chair at the high table when he heard the door to the Great Hall opening. Thinking Salazar had detected him somehow, Cole jumped up and hid behind the large back of the chair. Cole had left his wand laying on the table. He heard the intruder walk over to the piano and begin playing it. Cole came out from his hiding spot quietly. He reached his hand down and took up his wand. He looked across the hall at Zara. Davies, a Ravenclaw, an assumed Mudblood. Cole smirked to himself as he began to walk over to Zara slowly and quietly. When he came close behind her he grabbed at her shoulder and cried loudly, "Boo!" He began to laugh immediately afterward. Seeming to have been holding in the outburst.

Zara jumped up right out of the stool and held painfully a scream and when she turned around to see Cole Potter standing there behind her so must have been the one to surprise her and she laughed dryly and then her hand rose up and slapped him right across the face. Slytherin pureblood or not he fully deserved that. "That was for shocking me you idiot." She scowled and then asked him, "So, what are you even here for? I assume you didn't just come in here so why are you here?" Whilst waiting for his awnser she decided to start playing the song Angels (by Within Tempation) on the piano and singing along with it to pass the few minutes of silence. Ugh how she disliked Cole mearly due to his reputation as a prankster and also his personality however he was very handsome for a Slytherin.

Cole smirked. While he did believe he was superior to those of lesser blood, Cole was not entirely sold on the segregationist arguement. Basically, Cole was a human boy before he was a pureblood wizard. And couldn't help but find mudbloods fascinating. When Zara hit him, Cole merely turned his head with the smack and cried out softly. He gave a small chuckle and responded, "Be quiet, will you? You'll attract that nosy prat Lesuth." Cole glanced toward the door to the main hall. "I was trying out Professor Slytherin's seat. I figured it was uncomfortable, since he's always looking angry." Poking fun at Salazar was usually the best way for Cole to meet people from other houses. There were others much more keen on Slytherin than their own founders however, so Cole had learned to be mild in his proddings.

Zara scowled at him and then replied to him, "I guess Slytherin does always look angry and you're right about that nosy git of a Prince." Her expression turned a little bit happier although not much as she said to him, "Sooo... Um. Whats your favourite colour?" She didn't really know what to say so she guessed that she might aswell say a friendship starting question - she needed more friends anyway, even if they were from Slytherin. She personally didn't give a damn really about blood purity as she was muggleborn but as she was has unknown parentage she could be a pureblood. Going back to the conversation, she listened to his awnser.

Cole shifted his weight onto one leg and pulled a comb from his pocket. He wandered away from Zara and began to comb his hair back. "Blue." He replied confidently. "There is no other color to match the emotion of blue. It's almost perfect. But nothing can be perfect." Cole dropped the comb back into his pocket and turned back to Zara. "And yours is?"

Zara smiled and replied back, "My favorite colour is yellow, because stereotypically its the colour of happiness and thats what we need most in life. And its not prefect because nothing has to be so." She looked down at her fingernails and saw that the paint was starting to chip at the upper edges, she'd have to re-paint them when she could be bothered. Once she was done examaning her nails, she glanced up at Cole again, waiting for him to ask a question this time.
