Athena pursed her lips, and sat at her desk. It was covered with books, parchment and a quill. She she delicately on her chair waiting for someone to arrive. She thought over her lesson plan. A simple overview of the pure blood views and objectives which, she sure as hell disagreed with but it was necessary. She tapped the quill on the desk. Fiddling with her hair, she sighed quietly.
She stood and paced around the room for a few seconds, before hearing the door open and then shut again. She turned to the student. "Sit down dear" she said in a sweet and calm voice. She thought to her family. Her successful older siblings. A small scowl appeared but quickly vanished.

Potter had never liked History of Magic much. He, like most, much preferred the future or the present at times. Even though presently, he was quite displeased with the Professor's decision to make Lesuth Prince Head Boy. Even more when it was his own girl friend who happened to be Head Girl. Now that blood traitor had exclusive access to Cole's girl. The future was clear at least, Cole would have to blacken young Mr. Prince's good name. The filthy blood traitor didn't even deserve a bone and he was favored by that lazy hack, Gryffindor. Potter kept telling himself that it was only because Lesuth, being pure blood, happened to be the only thing Gryffindor house had to offer.
Potter entered through the History of Magic classroom's doors. He gazed around at the room as if it was all new to him. Although Potter was oppossed to the views of most of his professors, he could not help but suck up to them as best as possible. "My word, Maam, you certainly know how to keep a classroom in order. Not like that rat-blooded Gryffindor prat. That bloke can't even keep a book shelf standing."
Potter picked up on Athena's passing scowl. He put up his best look of worry. "Is something the matter, Professor?" Cole frowned and quickly added, "I'll understand if it's too personal" And he turned away and took a seat quickly. Looking up at Professor Pallas innocently he remarked, "Quite cozy." He was quite surprised how young some of the Professors were, but ultimately decided it was inevitable with one of the school's founders being as ratty as Gryffindor was. Who would take this establishment seriously? Indeed, the Potters only sent their son after being assured he'd end up in Slytherin. Regardless, Cole was hardly complaining, the Professor was rather fetching.

Athena straightened up and then sat down on the front of her desk, "Well, thank you Mr Potter, but I would advise you not to insult to other professors in another professors presence" she said, not ever saying that he was wrong about Gryffindor. She sighed, "Oh, its nothing, just a thought that's all, even so, It would probably be to personal to talk about" She said, then repeated "just a thought" as if trying to convince herself that. Athena, was more inclined to back up Rowena, having a great deal of respect for her and enjoying learning and wisdom.
The professor smiled gently, "Yes now, Lets wait just a minute for the rest and if not then you'll get a one on one teaching session, I suppose" She said thoughtfully thinking about what except from the pureblood ideals, - which seeing as he was a pureblood, most likely knew and would be bored by them - she could teach. She often wondered why she had become the History of Magic Professor when she had a gift for seeing the future. After waiting for a while, she ran a hand through her hair and crossed one knee over the other. So she was sitting on the desk with out her feet touching the floor "Is there anything you want to cover this lesson?" she asked. She had some simple flat pumps on her feet and a knee length pencil skirt with a tunic type top on. Her attire was casual but appropriate for teaching. She pulled her brunette hair back and tied it back in a ribbon.

Athena's question about class took Cole off guard. He wasn't the best student of History of Magic. He wasn't sure what the best topic would be for the class. He scratched his forearm nervously, Cole didn't want to upset her by being unable to answer her questions. "Uhm. Merlin, I guess?" Cole gave a shrug and a small chuckle. He wracked his brain for someway to change the conversation. He really didn't want to talk about History or Merlin for that matter. Mostly because he knew so little about either.

Athena thought for a while before nodding. "well, Merlin was a wizard during the time of King Arthur," she paused "little is known of his past. Arguably one of the most famous wizards of all time. During the medieval era, he was part of the court of King Arthur and assisted him during his reign" she looked to him thinking of a question she could ask "what award did merlin set up?" she thought again, "Merlin believed that wizards should help Muggles and live peacefully with them, okay so,what was his alias and who was his enemy?" she asked him she didn't want to just lecture him for an hour on merlin, after a while anything todo with a lecture got boring. She, herself, hated lectures.

Sarah entered the classroom quietly as per usual. Some Professors remarked that she must make quick and plentiful use disillusionment charms to sneak up on them alot. It was not true. Sarah had actually become used to moving unnoticed. It came easily to her since most people opted not to take notice of her eitherway. "The Order of Merlin is the award." Sarah quickly answered the teacher's question for Cole, knowing that her boyfriend would never have the answer to it. "And Morgan le Fay was his enemy. I also heard that a descendant of Morgana resides in Hogsmeade, though it is more likely that the witch making that claim is merely pretending. Thinking the similarity of their given names would stand as its own proof." She noted the last part, not so much to impress the Professor. But more to warn Cole before he made a big deal of the rumour. Sarah stepped forward and took a seat next to Cole.

Athena smiled at Miss Peverell. "Well done Miss Peverell, that is correct" . She sat carefully, "Yes, his enemy was Morgan le Fay, and I have indeed heard that rumor, and agree with you, Miss Peverell" she sighed, "Well, Merlins alias was the Prince of Enchanters." she smiled at her pupils. "Hmm" she pondered. "The Order Of Merlin is an organization to promote Muggle rights, currently the awards is given to commemorate those who have done something such as performing a great deed at personal risk or for contributions to the wizarding world" Athena ran a hand through her hair, which was currently tied back.

Cole was lost. He had initially tried to keep up with the two, but had given up by the time the Professor began talking about the Order of Merlin. Despite that, he was not about to be passive in this engagement. "Aw. Come on now. Ole Morgana isn't hurting anyone." Cole was aware that Sarah was jealous of the old hag, alot of pureblood girls were. "My Grandfather says Merlin was just a gimp old man. My ancestors have not acquired many Orders, but we do have Praise from much more ancient institutions of magic." Cole was proud of his ancestory. Though most of them were prejudiced, Cole forgave them for it.
Cole smiled over at Sarah. "You're still too late, love. It would be nice if we could walk into class together." He whispered to her. Cole hated how distant she was towards him. He knew it was because she was an orphan and sad about that and such. But he got bored easily without her around. And he sometimes did things even he wasn't proud of. Regardless, the two had been together since they had first met. They had never actually fought, which Cole found strange now that he thought of it.

Athena smiled gently. "If she has prove of her ancestry, then I will believe it" Athena said simply. Athena needed to see the facts before she assumed anything. She wasn't quick to judge, and she certainly did not go into things head first. She ignored the whispering, and went to write up some facts on the board.
The board now said: Merlin was born sometime in 768. Little is known of his past, but he was arguably one of the most famous wizards of all time "Merlin's beard!", and the more unusual "Merlin's pants!" are in reference to him Merlin was a wizard during the time of King Arthur. Merlin was a "Muggle sympathiser," although Merlin's belief in the pure-blood elitism is unknown It is unknown if Merlin alerted Arthur or anybody to his magical powers, although it is likely. In his time he was an expert user of the modern-day existing charms and had the nickname or alias of the Prince of Enchanters. Morgana le Fay was his enemy.
She stood, and said "Copy whats written down on the board, and any other facts you want to" she smiled at the students, then sat on the chair behind her desk, she lent forwards on her elbows. "I don't think I can really think of much else about Merlin, is there anything else you'd like to learn?" she asked, racking her brains for more information.

Lesuth wandered into class lazily. He wasn't looking forward to a class with the Slytherins. When he noticed that lessons were already beginning however, Lesuth panicked and practically jumped into a seat. He didn't even realize he had sat on the opposite side of Cole Potter.
Lesuth extracted a parchment, ink bottle and quill from his satchel. He laid them out in front of him and he began to talk to Cole quietly as he hurriedly and busily etched out the notes onto the parchment, "Mate, what did I miss?" Lesuth finally looked over in Cole and Sarah's direction. He froze at the sight of them. He made a pathetic noise as more students arrived and took the closest seats. Lesuth then bent over the parchment and made to ignore Cole as best he could.

Dimitri skidded to a halt at the History Of Magic class door, but he was not quick enough and went flying into the door and stumbled in the now open doorway. He managed to keep his balance and sat next to Lesuth, who he saw had seated himself by Cole Potter. Dimitri shock his head. "Sorry Professor" he said as she walked around. He grabbed a piece of parchment and wrote the information on the board down.
