It had only begun as a small piece of glass. Even though not half as large as a pea, it had caused Kat a great deal of discomfort while lodged in the side of her wrist. Kat tried to explain to her healer, "It was small, I tried to pinch it to pull it out of my arm and it grew larger. Everytime I touched it, it grew and made the cut bigger with it. That's all I know, honest. Can anything be done? Ugh!" Kat struggled against an unseen enemy for a moment as the cursed glass began sending pain magically through her body. It seemed it could detect that she was trying to see about having it removed. "Hurry, please!" Kat begged, looking at the Healer desperately with red, tearful eyes. "It knows what I'm doing!" She winced and fell back into the bed she was sitting upon. She was trying to remove her pain from her mind and block the memory of her assailant at the same time.

Alex looked at Miss Black, who seemed to be in a great deal of discomfort from a piece of glass and sighed. She looked pitifully at her, she moved held out her hand and gently took the girls wrist in her grip being careful not to hurt her. She looked at the cut and could see the glass. "So it grows when you try and remove it?" she asked, trying to figure out what the curse may be. She gently touched her wand to around about were the glass was and cast a spell to remove it. After removing the cursed glass without touching it. She quickly grabbed a pot of dittany and then cast "Vulnera Sanentur" to heal the wound. Dabbing the dittany on quickly but gently she asked "How did you get this wound dear? It is very hard to come across cursed glass in the school". Casting "Accio" she summoned a bottle of blood replenishing potion, just in case she needed it.

Kat could feel that the glass had been removed. But lingering stinging remained. She kept her eyes wide shut as she focused on hiding the information the Healer was asking for in case she knew legilimens. Kat ran a finger over the skin the glass had been protruding from. She wiped up a bit of blood with the finger and finally opened her eyes. She sat up and glared at Alexandra defiantly, "I would rather speak to my Head of House on the matter." Kat didn't actually have any intention of going to Salazar, her plan was simply to dodge the Healer's inquiry. Kat kicked her feet off the bed and some of her blood dribbled down on the sheets. "I'll just make my way over to his office."

Alex pursed her lips, for a moment then smile gently at Miss Black "Okay then, well your free to go" she said, then grabbed a piece of cloth to wrap up the piece of glass, "Well, if you are going to see him, please give him this glass, so he can rid of it" she said, handing the item wrapped in the now blood stained cloth, to Miss Black. Alexandra has a feeling that Miss Black would not go to Professor Slytherin, however being healer meant she had to stick to patient-healer confidentiality. She was not allowed to go and discuss it with the staff unless Miss Black said it was alright, or if it was really serious. She began to wonder if a piece of cursed glass could actually be classed as serious. Professor Slytherin would probably not think so.

Kat shrugged and got off from the bed. She stood and had to fight to ignore the lingering stinging in her hand. She paused for a moment, her back to Duboise. Kat's eyes were shut and her hands clenched tightly as she felt the black magic still causing pain in her arm. It would take alot of work and shame convincing her to do it, but Kat was sure that her mother could get rid of any lingering effects of Nero's magic. "Than-" Kat was startled by Alex's request. She didn't want to touch the glass again and so hopped backward away from the healer. "I am not carrying that thing!" Kat looked at the wrapped glass with horror. She debated telling of her attacker. But knew such an attempt would end worse than what had happened today.

Alex pulled her hand back with the glass still wrapped up. "Okay, I'll take it too him later, then" she said, "That is some very strong and dark magic" she mumbled, before setting it down on mahogany wood counter. She put her hands on her hips, "Well, unless there is anything else, run along dear" she said before turning and picking up the dittany pot and potion, and holding them in her arms, not walking back yet. She set them next to the glass. She fiddled with the end of her plait, when she was working as a healer, she was required to wear her hair up, something she disliked. She had a white apron on over her baby blue dress.

Kat peered across the room at Alex silently for a moment. She had never actually met a more relaxed adult. Kat took a wary step toward Alex. "Actually, I think it is still affecting me. It may be poisoned as well. I would be careful with it." Kat knew that the glass itself had come from an ampoule used by her brother, Nero, to carry poisons and other potions in. She didn't know what was in the particular glass that had stuck her, but it wasn't likely to be pumpkin juice.

Alex looked at her in concern. "Okay" she said. She looked at the offending piece of glass wrapped up in the cloth. Alex sighed and ran her hand down her plait. "Well, Miss Black. It could be quite serious if it turns out to be poisoned as well" she stated, concern laced in her tone. She levitated the glass. "If it is poisoned then Professor Slytherin will know what it is" she said gently. "and if it turns out to be poisoned, I need to know what poison to treat, so do you want to take this to the professor or shall I" she remarked.

Kat stared at the wrapped, enchanted glass uneasily. She knew that if it reached Slytherin, he could possibly create some alarm. Kat frowned darkly and bit her lip as she thought on the dilemna for a moment longer. She could dispose of it herself if she took it and simply didn't pass it onto Slytherin. It was not his business anyway, Kat would deal with the assault herself, in time. "I will take it to him for you. I am not afraid." As she lied, Kat felt the enchantment's painful effect return in short, angry bursts. She wondered if she should take it to the Potions master after all? "I am certain I could manage it." Kat tried to reassure herself.

Alexandra smiled "Great, that's good dear, better to face fears than to stay afraid" She bit her lip. "But, your sure you'll take it to him?" she questioned gently. She gave a short sigh, "Well, get going then, the sooner you get that glass to him the better, i don't want to see you in here anytime soon either Miss Black" she said smiling still. Alex, walked a few paces away, to sit on the desk in the hospital wing, not the one in her office, and started to read quietly flipping through a book she was reading on healing.

Lycoris smiled awkwardly and replied quietly, "Of course." She took up the cloth-wrapped glass carefully in her hand. It was strange to handle a device that was meant to cause her pain. Lycoris turned away from Alexandra and walked to the door. Her footfalls did not make a noise as she went. When she reached the door, she turned her body around halfway and called back to the nurse in careless monotone, "Thank you."

"Good" Alex sighed and relaxed into her chair, before putting down her book and attending to patients that needed help. Sometimes, she really wondered why children tried to pull off those damned quidditch moves. Reckless idiots. She sighed once again, and smiled at Miss Blacks thanks, even if it was a little careless.
