Rowena walked into her office and closed the door behind her. It was getting dark, so she summoned a candlestick from her desk and burned the candle with a small movement of her wand. She had a lot of work to do; even though no one of them had said it out loud, Rowena knew that other founders expected her to deal with the paperwork. She had to send letters to all young witches and wizards they'd found and search for more teachers. The other three founders probably didn't even know how much everything cost or how annoying it was to try keeping the school in order.
Rowena sighed and put her quill down. She still had at least two dozens of letters to write, but it had to wait for awhile. Working by candlelight was always tiring and Rowena just wanted to call it a night. She was about to go and get changed into her nightgown, when somebody knocked on the door. "Come in." Rowena called in soft voice, waiting for her visitor to enter.

Melody slowly opened the door at the words for her to enter the office. Melody wasn't exactly sure why she was here late at night, but just a few minutes ago, she had been laying on the couch in the slytherin common room, looking to the ceiling very boredly. That's when the sudden image of Rowena came to her mind, she was looking very upset, or maybe she was looking pissed. Either way, she got a bad vibe from the vision and she gasped like always, pulled from the vision. "My Lady Ravenclaw?" She asked, looking around the room. Then it soon realized to her, that she was 12 and so far half of her visions were crap! It hit her that this vision wasn't really clear and could be crap. The lady could have just been upset over paperwork, or something silly like that and she was just being too paranoid. But Mel didn't want to ignore it incase it was something. outfit

Rowena carefully eyed the visitor. She was rather surprised to see Mel in her office, especially so late at night. If the girl had some kind of a problem, it would be more likely to visit Salazar, the head of her house.
"Good evening, miss Marks." said Rowena. "What brings you here at such a late hour?" She raised her eyebrows and focused her gaze on Mel, waiting for an answer.

Tucking the blond hair back, and fixing the green hat on her head, Melody tried not to look at Lady Ravenclaw. The small vision she had seen was now seeming incredibly stupid. She really didn't have to freak out about it, it could have been anything, any old thing, but no, she flipped and freaked out about it probably was giving off a weird Vibe. As much as people thought slytherin's only went to slytherin, but Melody also knew she needed a woman's mind to tell her she was just simply worried far too much. Salazar would only tell her she was over reacting and to go to bed. Mel was only 12, she wasn't as old and mature as people put her to be. "Well, I... I saw you... upset and... angry in this... vision and it, I, It made me think something... was wrong" outfit

Rowena frowned slightly and sighed, without taking her eyes off Mel. Rowena knew that, without the false modesty, she was the smartest, wisest witch of the age, but there were certain things that even Rowena didn't know much about. She believed that people with special abilities indeed did exist and she was eager to learn as much as she could about them. Of course, they first had to make her believe that their abilities were real.
Rowena sighed again and narrowed her eyes. It was too late at night and all the students should be in their beds. It was a rule and she never broke rules. However, Mel came to her and she wasn't doing anything wrong. "Why don't you take a seat, Miss Marks?" Rowena asked gently, with a small, friendly smile, gesturing to a chair on the other side of her desk.

Melody smiled at her and took the seat in the chair she had motioned to. Melody felt incredibly stupid, but she didn't let it show s she tucked her dress under her as she slid herself into the seat. Hands fiddling with her blond hair, Mel looked to her green flip-flops glowing against her pale skin. Far too nervous and ashamed to look at the founder woman in front of her, Melody took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Okay, clear up the vision, make it less fuzzy. This was just like the other day when Slytherin had her run a small errand/note to Mr. Gryffindor, she had a small vision that knocked her into a wall gasping for air. But the vision itself was useless, it showed what she would eat for dinner, or what she ate for breakfast. It was useless and yet made her weak and want to hurt herself. What were these vision's good for if she couldn't control what she saw and what effect they had on her. Taking a deep breath, she furrowed her strawberry like blond brows and looked up to Lady Ravenclaw. "Lady Ravenclaw... am I in trouble?" Outfit

Rowena kept looking at Mel, not in a frightening manner, but more as if she was trying to figure something about the girl. The she smiled again.
"No, of course you're not, dear." she answered. "I'm sure that you are well aware of the fact that being outside your bed at this late hour is against the school rules." Rowena continued, rather gently, since she wasn't angry or upset. "However, I'm not going to give you a detention." she added, as she sat back. Rowena knew that it would be a wrong idea to punish someone for trying to be helpful. She was wise enough to know that there were some kinds of magic that she hadn't tried herself, but that she still wanted to understand.

"I am, and I'm very sorry, if I wasn't sure of what happened I would surely have... waited for the morning" Melody explained, looking to her toes. Melody should have just ignored it, but she didn't know, it was the first time the vision was of someone else that she wasn't standing next to. Once she had a vision of the person in front of her tripping and both of them spilling their books and Mel was fast enough to avoid it. Or mostly just about her, but this time it was of someone else and it scared her of what it might mean. Maybe the woman was upset or angry because Melody. Darn, she never thought of that, now that she did think about it, she wanted to slap herself.
"Thank you, thank you so much Lady Ravenclaw" She sighed with relief when she heard the woman wasn't going to give her detention.

"It's alright, my dear, it really doesn't matter." Rowena sighed and smiled tiredly at Mel. She was sleepy and felt like she needed a large cup of tea, or maybe coffee, even better to get some sleep.
"You don't need to thank me." said Rowena. "I'm rather surprised that you showed something... unusual for your house. Slytherins often break rules, but they rarely do that in order to help someone." Then she gave Melody another smile. "I'm not upset or angry with you and I am not going to report this to professor Slytherin." Rowena added, knowing that Salazar probably wouldn't understand Mel's actions and maybe even gave her detention for un-Slytherin behavior.

"Well then, my Lady... I guess I must ask, is anything troubling you or should I be on my way. It just came to my attention, it might have been I who was the object that upset you or made you tired in my vision and it could very well be... But I was hoping to know if you were alright" She finished in a whisper. Melody was talking far too much again, she chewed on her inside cheek to keep from talking more. When the blond was nervous she had a habit of talking far too much, it was her fault for doing it too but she couldn't hold it in. The words tumbled from her mouth and now as nervous of the founder's words as she was, Melody had to try the hardest she ever had to keep from chatting up a nerve wrecked storm. Relief slowly spread through her veins at the lady's smile on her. Melody was one of the irregular Slytherin's, but she was a slytherin nonetheless for her family, and for her family's history, the fact she was a pureblood, and was said to be gifted. So much for that! She might be gifted but that dumb gift was rather useless in her mind. "Thank you again, he's still rather angry with me... for, well... I was playing with Carnicopia without him knowing and she got out thanks to my inability to chase her" She looked back to her toes, wincing a bit at the memory. Darn her Parseltongue/parselmouth. It got her into far too much trouble with snakes, and Salazar was rather pissed he had to go save his precious snake from a tree full of owls. So Melody, to say the least, was very grateful Ravenclaw wasn't going to tell him she was being un-slytherin like...again. outfit
