The brightness of the sun was a mockery for Morgana Gaunt. The twelve year old was perched under a tree, hugging her knees tightly up to her chest and sobbing quietly. She was going through her first heart ache. At the beginning of that year she had met a fourth year Gryffindor who had the bad boy reputation. She was intrigued by him and the more he romantically ignored her, the more she liked him. However, as the days turned into weeks she started feeling heart broken. Her friends were constantly urging her to stop talking to him because it always made her feel worse. But he was her first puppy love and she believed the sun set and rose on him. Morgana stared ahead of her and wiped her tears on the back of her sleeve. She heaved a deep sigh and rested her chin on the top of her knees.

Verloren woke up from his eventful dream, always the same, exciting stuff happening in it, he grinned, as he put his slytherin robes on, he walked outside of the boys dormitory, walking toward the common room and soon the exit, he wanted to have some relax time, alone near the lake. As he got out of the dungeons, walking toward the main hall, he eventually went to the big door and opened it to go outside. As he walked toward the lake, he could see someone there, maybe it was his imagination, he wasn't sure until he approached the lake, he saw a girl crying. It gave him a certain amount of fun, seeing her cry but he approached her, with what seemed to be a concerned look on his face, as he approached her he stopped in front of her. "What's wrong?" Viktor said, with a worried tone, though of course he was only acting, he knew the acting worked, he had to be good with it, otherwise he would of been expelled a long time ago.

Morgana jumped slightly when she heard a male voice. She turned her head and looked up at the newcomer with glossy red eyes. Meggy sniffled quietly and pulled her knees closer, feeling threatened by the older boy who happened to be in Slytherin. She couldn't understand how a Slytherin could sound so concerned, especially because she was a Ravenclaw. She unconsciously moved away from him and replied in a strangled voice, "It's nothing." New tears started rolling down her cheeks and she hastily looked away.

This girl was definitively pathetic, crying like that, even though Viktor liked seeing girls cry, he just approached her calmly, putting his hand on her face softly as he wiped the tears away, he looked at her deeply in the eyes and just gave her a hug, just to try and comfort her, even though he didn't want to do this, he had to, he had to be a good student in here so he wouldn't be suspected, he just kept hugging her. "Shh it's alright, you can tell me everything. I'll be here for you."

Her eyes widened when the Slytherin stepped closer. She instantly stiffened when his strong arms went around her small frame. Morgana was stunned by his words and despite her sadness and desire to be comforted, she pushed her hands against his chest in an attempt to widen the space between them. Meggy was not much of a hugger. She did not like to be touched by strangers, even if it was an innocent accidental bump... it made her feel anxious and nervous.

He looked at her, this attitude of hers was pretty interesting as he let go of her after the push, he just looked at her calmly, she was an odd one, maybe she could be useful... or broken even further, he just had a small smile on his lips. "I'm sorry.. didn't know you were afraid of being hugged for comfort, now I know, but all I want is to comfort you, I'll be there for you and I'll stay here, till you talk, maybe I can help you." He said, as he stood there, getting closer to the trunk of a tree, he sat on the ground calmly, his eyes still looking at her.

Meggy looked relieved when he moved away from her. As he spoke to her, she stretched her legs in front of her and braced her arms around her body. Morgana stared at the lake and after a while said softly, "I am not afraid. Just do not touch me... ever." Her words sounded a bit rude and harsh, but she would rather have it that way and make herself clear. She did not look happy that he was determined to stay and listen. After several minutes she said, "Why would a Slytherin want to help me?"

"That's still called fear of being touched, even a phobia, no trust in people I believe. Viktor said, he would be toying with this girl till she doubts herself, that would be fun, he just made a loud sigh just like to make her think he was annoyed at what she said. "Judging someone by his/her house I see, not so open minded but then again it can be understandable."

Morgana took a couple of seconds to rub her eyes before saying, "Fine. Call it whatever you want as long as you keep away." She gave a shrug and leaned slightly forwards. Morgana laughed dryly at his comment and said, "Most Slytherins would not care. How can I be sure you're not just digging for information to use against me?" She turned her head in his direction and watched him with narrowed eyes.

She certainly was smart, unless it was her lack of trust, he just laughed calmly. "If I wanted that my dear, I'd be using an unforgivable curse on you, but I'm not that way, I'm a nice Slytherin, I don't care about blood nor which houses others are from, we should all be friends, or at least allies, for you never know what can be lurking outside of Hogwarts."]

His words surprised Morgana. She straightened her back and looked at him with a softer expression. Meggy turned her body towards him and replied, "I think that would be a nice thing. But there is too much rivalry between the houses." She gave a small shrug and looked at him curiously. "I'm Meggy... well Morgana, but most people call me Meggy or Meg," she offered. The second year wrinkled her nose and leaned slightly forwards before questioning, "What's your name?"

"Rivalries exist everywhere, you just need to find the good lot to build a friendship with." He said with a smile, as he looked at her, she finally introduced herself which was good, it was going better then he expected that's for sure "Viktor Mercus Lorrein, you can call me Verloren though." He said, still with a soft smile on his face.

Morgana shrugged in response. She was still not sure about certain friendships. Meggy gave him a small smile and said, "Pleased to meet you Viktor." Her decision not to use his nickname was to keep a 'distance' between them. Morgana moved backwards and leaned against the bark of the tree. Once again, she hugged her knees to her chest and looked away in silence.

Her name did sound familiar, was he related to that adult who teaches purebloods, dark magic and all that, he shook his head calmly, couldn't be. If she was he would have to be careful, or his plans could still work either way, he just smiled as he looked at the sky calmly. "The sky is beautiful today don't you think, so calm and peaceful in here.. always is."

"Huh?" she uttered softly. Morgana did not turn to look at Viktor but listened to his every word. She smiled slightly in response and said, "Yes it is." She paused and gave a small shrug before saying, "To be honest, I prefer it at night. Darkness appeals to me." She blushed beetroot and buried her head in her knees before saying, "I know it sounds odd. But I find it comforting."
