- Attacked and bitten by a werewolf well before attending school.
- Sorted into Hufflepuff and became friends with the veela Abigail. During their third year, they admitted to being attracted to one another. At the end of the year, Abigail began avoiding Kynthia.
- Her sixth year at Hogwarts she was assaulted once again by a werewolf. When her old friend(though Abigail had forgotten who she was by this time) rescued her, her tormenter wounded the veela severely. The girls escaped after Kynthia changed and killed the assailant. Even as a beast, Kynthia's love of Abigail shone through. She carried the injured veela back to the castle but was too afraid to approach as a best. This critical time when Kynthia hesitated let Abigail's wound worsen untreated. Kynthia refused to return to Hogwarts for her final year and was enrolled in Beauxbatons instead.
