Lily moved closer to Sirius, so that they could both try to hear the words spoken on the other side of the door. "He must be, we would've seen him around." She didn't realize how close they were standing, but even if she did, she wouldn't be too upset about it.
Rowena gave Salazar a strange look. "That's impossible. He told me he'd owned the wand since his wife's death and that was over 20 year ago. And it just couldn't be my husband, I would have known that he had the wand. He would have told me. That can't be true!"

Salazar sighed, opening the diary of her husband and pointing it to her, so she could read it, her husbands secrets, about holding the wand, he looked back at her calmly. "Read, then read Alfie's diary about his attack.." Salazar said, still looking at Rowena
Sirius listened in, on the conversation what was going on? What wand where they talking about? Was it the wand he thought it was, he just looked at Lily calmly. a bit concerned on what was going on inside the office.

Rowena took a diary with shaking hands. "Salazar, where did you find this? It's my husband's handwriting..." Then she shook her head in disbelief. "He didn't keep secrets from me. Why didn't he tell me about the wand? Didn't he trust me?" Rowena carefully turned a few pages of the diary. "No, this is impossible. It has to be some kind of mistake..."
Lily looked at Sirius, with her big blue eyes wide opened. There was something really strange going on and she wanted to know everything about it.

"He did trust you, your Husband just wanted to hide the wand forever, without mentioning it to you, he wanted to accomplish good deeds with his wand, eventually it seems like Alfie found out about the wand, he was in a quest of power, probably after all the other relics, perhaps to bring his dead family back." Salazar said, looking at her calmly, he sighed as he eventually looked away, he didn't like giving her bad news
Sirius listened, remaining silent, breathing heavily as he was listening, this wasn't good, wasn't good at all, he soon focused on Lily instead. "Why are you using boys... and never after true love? Using boys for your own good, let it be homework or something else... don't you find it boring?"

Lily was carefully listening to the story, trying to figure out if they were talking about the Elder wand. But that wasn't supposed to be true, someone might even say there was an Invisibility Cloak. Now, wouldn't that be silly? Sirius' words came so unexpectedly "Where did you get that from? Don't you find love boring,? If there is true love actually, it would be boring."
Rowena kept turning pages, silently, still shaking with shock and emotions. She hadn't seen her husband's handwriting in so many years, it was probably the best gift Salazar could give her, no matter what was written on those pages. "He wanted to protect me, foolish as alway..." she added bitterly, but gently, with a small smile on her face. "Alfie always wanted the stone. But there is no spell that can bring back the dead, that's wrong and impossible. We are not to decide whether a person should live or die, it's not our choice to make." Rowena sighed and looked at Salazar, who didn't look at her. Then she looked at the second book. "This one is Alfie's?" she asked.

"And you prefer living alone, without true love? Always lone without that one person who can probably make you smile and lighten your mood... hmm strange." Sirius said, he then focused back on the door, listening to what was being said, it was interesting in a way but also seemed sad.
"Some people have foolish desires, and yes that's Alfie's diary." Salazar said, handing it over reluctantly, he sighed sadly, he knew how his friend would react now by reading that, he looked away calmly and saw a strange cloak. "That's a peculiar cloak.. who does it belong to?"

"You seem to know a lot about love, do you?" Lily smirked "People don't usually lighten your mood, you mostly get hurt. So what's the point in letting anyone close if they'll only hurt you?" she said and turned her attention back to the door.
Rowena took the other book, immediately recognizing the handwriting from letters he'd sent her. However, she couldn't read it, too scared of what it might have been written inside. Rowena was so concentrated on the diaries that she'd forgotten about the cloak. "Oh, it belongs to that student of Godrics, the one you've so conveniently thrown out." She picked it up and took it in her hands, examining the light fabric. Something like that she'd never seen before.

"Not sure, but it's usually better to have a real relationship, if you don't trust someone then you are lonely forever." Sirius said, eventually concentrating on their conversation now, they were mentioning his cape it seems, he just looked toward the door calmly.
"I see, read it Rowena, no point in letting yourself be comfortable imagining he is a good wonderful man, just read it." Salazar said, she deserved to know, he looked at her calmly and then back at the cape. approaching it, it seems like it couldn't be damaged at all. "That's interesting, really interesting"

"You don't need anyone to be happy with your life. At least I don't. It's better to be lonely than with someone unworthy your company." Lily turned towards Sirius. "Is that some kind of cloak of yours that they're talking about? Oh, I wish I knew who that Alfie character is..."
Rowena let the light soft fabric slide through her fingers. "Indeed. I've never seen anything like it." Rowena looked at Salazar, unable to hide the how upset she was. "You've read it, haven't you?" Rowena didn't want to read the diary, but yet there was a part of her that wanted to know what was written inside. "Is there any chance that this is all a mistake?"

"You clearly believed on it, if you let your attacker get this close to you." He managed to say, he looked at the door again, listening calmly. What was going on? This Alfie, who was he? What did he do.
Salazar sighed, opening the diary and reading it out loud to her, all the info, about the house, about the looks of Rowena's husband, how he killed him and took the elder wand, how he heard a woman cry as he fled the scene, everything was described accordingly, even the house they were living in and the horizon. Rowena's husband has been described exactly the way he looked, Salazar sighed, going to further pages, recent stuff that only Rowena would know about.

Lily didn't say anything, she just kept looking at the door. Whoever that Alfie was, he was indeed somebody special to Rowena, she seemed so eager to prove his innocence. She just wanted to know what he'd done.
Rowena felt the room was spinning around her. She managed to sit down on a chair, listening carefully to what Salazar was reading. Everything came back to her, the night her husband died, their house with the biggest library she'd ever seen (except the one in Hogwarts), the way her husband looked, clothes he was wearing that night... Rowena raised her head when Salazar started to read more recent entries. "No, wait! That is private, don't read that..." Rowena blushed, unable to hide how uncomfortable she was.

"I lied to her, used her because she was starting to like me, she was only a tool from whom I could collect the deathly hallows, she would keep the elder wand safe, safe so Salazar and Godric don't find out, I killed for this wand, and if I was given a second life I would kill again, finding the other relics will make me a god to whom the mudbloods will bow to, I will bring my family back from the dead, I know I will. I wonder how she would feel like, if she knew I ended her husbands life, would probably be a funny face to see, the death of her husband changed her, made her completely arrogant, useful for my plans, I outsmarted Rowena by seducing her." Salazar read, doing the laughing sounds that Alfie put in his diary as he closed the diary and looked at her, what did she truly except?
Sirius listened some more, the tale was horrible, being used like that, was that what Lily wants in life? Using someone like that, breaking their feelings, this was monstrous, he looked around but eventually heard footsteps as he stopped the spell, the door opened Salazar looked at them both.
"10 points from Slytherin and 50 points from Gryffindor, you two will get a detention, spending two nights in the forbidden forest, without food."

Rowena covered her face with her hands, feeling so ashamed of herself. She had been so stupid, letting him get so close, use her feelings to manipulate her, tricking her into believing he might have feelings for her. Rowena knew of course he'd never love her the way he loved his late wife. However she didn't expect him to be so cruel an ruthless. If she hadn't been too occupied with her own problems and thoughts, she would have stood against Salazar for punishing the two, but she couldn't even move.
Lily gave Sirius a triumphal look, as if she was trying to say that was what happened if you trusted a man. Before she managed to say anything, the door opened. "Professor..." Lily started to protest. "Two nights in the forest?!" she frowned and looked at Sirius, at least Salazar had taken only 10 points from Slytherin, but the fact he took 50 points from Gryffindor was extremely unfair.

Salazar stepped away, not caring about what the students thought, maybe it was wiser to leave Rowena alone, she also had those kids to take care of her, he sighed calmly as he kept walking away, going to the stairs, disappearing from view.
Sirius was shocked, angry and sad, he made Gryffindor lose so many points, now no doubt he'd be more alone then ever, he sighed and eventually went inside approaching the professor, he didn't know what to do, except give her a gentle pat on the head, he looked at Lily for some help.

Lily watched Salazar as he left. She was actually impressed that he managed to stay so calm while saying the words that actually made Rowena break and then just leaving as if nothing had happened. Men... she thought, not sure what to do about Rowena; the woman just sat there, motionless, Lily wasn't even sure if she was breathing. She looked for Sirius, but he was already inside, patting Rowena's head. Men... Lily thought again and followed him inside. He seemed to be looking for her help, but Lily just sighed, not sure what to do to help the professor.
Rowena just sat in her chair, unable to move, holding the diary in her hands. She couldn't even look at it, too scared of reading it and finding the truth she didn't want to know. Sirius approached her and gently patted her head. It felt comforting in a way, the boy really had a heart of gold. Then another thought appeared in Rowena's mind, Salazar had read the entire diary, that was quite obvious; her cheeks turned red again as she wondered if there were some more explicit descriptions Salazar might have read.
