(continued from Fantastic Babblings thread)
Lesuth had always known that the students training under the potion's shop weren't nice. But he somehow felt this Viktor was on a different level than even tricksters like Cole. Lesuth's instinct had rarely been wrong about Dark Wizards before. He could spot those doing it for their parents and those that were actually interested in it: Those who actually sought after power over others.
He crossed the dirt road and continue down it toward the Inn. Lesuth shook the snow from his coat before bounding inside. He ordered a butterbeer and drained it quickly. He then paid and left.
The first thing Lesuth noticed as he stepped outside was the light had drained. As he made his way back toward Morgana's he also made note of the fact that the town seemed emptied. As he came close to his destination however, he noticed a figure as the moon's light slipped through a dodgy cloud. Lesuth smirked to himself, guessing the identidy. Lesuth drew his wand and bowed in respect for the other duelist.

Viktor enjoyed himself when it came to dark arts, the torture, the killing he loved it, for someone who killed his own mother and aunt, he just loved it, and was interested by it, so much that he didn't care about the life of others and he only cared about his own power, he observed many students in Morgana's shop and cared about none of them, he did however notice Lesuth willingness to learn powerful magic, an admirable trait, but also a foolish one, a Gryffindor can never attain the dark power that a student like himself could.
He went to the dueling ring and saw Lesuth, he never thought he'd be dueling that foolish boy, nor did it really matter, he would be done with it, or let him win? What to do, make him think he is powerful so one day he will surprise him by hurting him and killing him? Perhaps, but he had to test this student first, to see what he is capable of, no doubt he was the only one who noticed his dark nature.

Most people saw Lesuth as the annoying Prefect who always upheld the rules of the school. Alot of Slytherin students would underestimate him in a duel. Which made fighting them very easy. In truth, Lesuth needed no professor or Founder to back up his judgements and sentences. As Lesuth stared at Viktor, he could tell he wasn't like them. Lesuth smirked at Viktor, daring the Slytherin to make the first move. Lesuth began to side step slowly. Looking for an opening to possibly start an assault.

Viktor's posture in the duel was rather defensive, leaving no real opening, he looked at the boy and it seemed he wanted him to start first, he just bowed his head in a sort of a polite manner, eventually casting a stupefy non-verbally, to see if it would take his opponent off-guard, he would be quick enough to cast a protego if his opponent was ready for an attack, he didn't underestimate Lesuth, no he just wanted to be underestimated, this would make things easier while he studied those relics, that he wanted to acquire, that powerful wand, the cape and the stone.

Lesuth cast Protego non-verbally to deflect the spell cast at him. Lesuth could have sent the spell back at Viktor but sent it to collide with the ground in front of Viktor instead. Lesuth let his Protego fall then incanted, "Petrificus Totalus!" Lesuth was breathing heavily now. But seem as calm as earlier. No doubt Viktor was holding back. Surely he knew darker spells than Stupefy.

Interesting, this was rather talented, he protected himself with the protego, he knew the boy would be quick and rather surprising, but he didn't care about it that much, there was no point in revealing his magic, nor the spell he was still working with, perfecting it. He just looked at Lesuth calmly. "Avis" It was a rather odd spell to use, conjuring a flock of birds. but Viktor was odd coupling it with another spell "Oppugno" The flock of birds were under his control, as they charged at Lesuth to attack him, hurt him in anyway possible, because their 'master' ordered it.

Lesuth narrowed his eyes at the strange spell. Conjuring birds in the middle of a duel was a strange tactic. Lesuth silently got ready however, as the birds flew at him. He realized, Viktor's plan. Lesuth silently cast Stupefy, first on the closest birds then the further ones. He had knocked all but one out of the air when it hit him. The bird plunged its beak into Lesuth's midsection. Lesuth cringed and grabbed the bird. He stunned it and flung it away. Lesuth then turned his attention back to Viktor, but there was no chance Lesuth would be able to defend against another spell.

Viktor had the opening he needed yet he wanted more advantage in this sight, with damaging his eyesight temporarily, he pointed his wand at him when he got attacked by the last bird grabbing it. He casted the Conjunctivis curse on him, so it would irritate his eyesight for the whole fight, for this duel he would be 'blinded' by the irritation, he just smirked, this would be an easy victory, he hoped that the boy had something against this curse or else there would be no more reason to duel him.

Lesuth felt a great irritation in his eyes, he could barely see, but remembered where Viktor had been earlier. "Stupefy! Confringo!" Then Lesuth ran as he did so he pointed his wand at his eyes and cast a healing spell non-verbally. He felt the curse lift for a moment but it came back. The heal allowed him to see for awhile more, Lesuth cast a different healing spell as he felt a strong urge to rub at his eyes. The irritation was almost too much. But he got himself readied for Viktor's next assault. Lesuth cast a third charm to cure his eyes, but to little effect. He knew the pattern of spells that would dispel the effects of Conjunctivitis Curse though. He only needed to cast one more spell.

Viktor casted another protego quickly when he saw him move his wand and the red lights appearing, he was thankfully fast enough, he still kept the shield on as he blocked the confringo spell with the same protego charm, however the impact shook Viktor a little, as his body shook from the impact his back hitting the back of his charmed shield, when the spell passed and he regained his bodies senses he just pointed his wand at him, it was time to show him the master use of a confringo by someone who loved explosions a lot. "Confringo." He casted the spell toward him but just in case he would use protego he casted it so it would hit the ground near Lesuth's feet, causing an impact hard enough for the boy to fly off the dueling ring, hopefully, that would happen, or even a few broken bones, he hoped the boy would be injured, it would be amusing to see.

Lesuth had just cast the final spell he needed when he was blown backward by Viktor's spell. Lesuth flipped twice in the air before landing on his stomach. His eyes had not yet returned to normal. But pain drove, Lesuth to desperation. He quickly got to his feet and through blurry vision, attempted threw up a non-verbal protego spell to protect him from any further onslaught. As pain subsided, Lesuth felt the unmistakeble feel of blood trickling down his face and chest. Viktor's blasting curse had done alot of damage against the unprotected Lesuth even though it hadn't hit him directly.
Slowly his sight returned to him. Lesuth steeled himself for the next exchange, ignoring the blood that painted his body. "It will take more than convential magic to end this duel, Lorrein."

Viktor just smiled, he wasn't dueling an amateur that was for certain, Gryffindors weren't to be underestimated, but at the moment, he didn't want to show his other magical spells, he didn't want to show himself at his full potential with dangerous spells, he looked at the boy calmly and just smirked, he put his wand in his pocket. "You will collapse by losing blood, I have no wish to kill you, not yet at least, you were only a duel, so we dueled, that's all there is to it." He said, looking at Lesuth eventually turning his back to the boy and yawning. "Duel is over, I don't want to show all I got, it would ruin the surprise for the founders... and their allies."

Lesuth narrowed his eyes, mostly from lack of vision. He lowered his wand. For a moment, Lesuth watched Viktor's back. Expecting him to try to surprise attack. When Lesuth was satisfied that would not happen, he began to incant what sounded like a song. He was healing himself, as best he could. Lesuth felt his cheek with one finger and examined his drying blood. "You are an honorable duelist. A worthy opponent." Was all Lesuth replied as he turned away from the scene himself continuing on with his healing magic. Lesuth hated surprises of this type. He would have to find some of his own by next time.
