Salazar just nodded when he listened to her, it was her wishes after all, he would respect them before she becomes a lady and finds the suitor unless it's another special day today he just looked at her. "No need my dear, I'm fine with just the two of us and talking, about books or any subject you want to talk about." He gave her a warm smile.

Her smile widened and her eyes shone brightly at his acceptance. Helga tightened slightly her hold on his arm and said, "Thank you Salazar." She paused and blushed scarlet, "Pardon me... Monsieur Slytherin." They were soon standing inside the library and Helga untangled herself from Salazar to move towards the blazing fireplace. |

He noticed her hold on his arm tighten, but she eventually let it go, was she blushing? He had no real idea, maybe it was his mind playing tricks on him, he just smiled as he saw her happy like that, it was probably the best sort of gift he could give her, his presence, he smiled at her, following her to the fireplace, he kept looking at the books too, they had a huge collection, he kept looking at them and moved towards one of the sections, looking at those books calmly.

Helga stared into the flames, thinking to herself. Before turning around and watching Slytherin for some time. "Monsieur?" she said uncertainly. Helga braced her arms around her body and asked, "What if the one I love refuses me? I do not wish to be forced into a marriage without love." |

"Love?" Salazar asked, a bit confused as he looked at her, in this period no one truly married out of love, it would make her family go insane, he looked at her, putting a finger near his lips, in a sort of manner of telling her to shush, he looked around making sure no one was around. "My lady are you sure about that? The pain it would cause your parents you know how they want you to marry into a wealthy family.."

Her eyes widened and she instantly shut up when he silenced her. Helga could hardly believe that he was telling her this, but she also knew it was how it worked. She lowered her gaze to the ground and replied, "I do not wish to disappoint them." She paused and inhaled deeply. Helga braced her arms around her body and asked sadly, "Is it that bad wanting to be happy?" |

"It's understandable my lady, you are allowed to be happy yes.. but.. it all depends on your parents really, sadly you don't have the say in this." Salazar said looking at her calmly, that's why he didn't marry girls, he could of, but he wasn't interested in the girls his family showed him, he wanted to choose for himself, the only difference is that he could, but she couldn't the opposite gender doesn't get such a chance, he looked at her calmly. "Don't worry my lady, this will stay between us."

"I am aware of that Monsieur," she said in a strangled voice. Helga turned to look away from Salazar feeling heart broken. She knew her parents would have approved of him, but he did not seem interested in marriage. "Thank you," Helga said softly. She hid her face in her hands and allowed the silent tears to roll down her cheeks. |

"Lady Helga?" Salazar said, approaching her, he put his hand on hers, to pull off her hands from her face, he saw her tears and wiped them with his hands. "Is it something I said my lady?" Salazar said, as he looked at her with concern, he didn't want something bad to have happened to her, so he checked her to see if there was any injuries.

Helga looked away feeling ashamed that he had seen her tears. She remained immobile as he checked to see if she was hurt. Helga shook her head in response but did not speak to him. She sighed and moved towards the window, sitting on the seat and staring outside.

Salazar looked at her, was something wrong? He had no idea, he just sighed. "I apologize if I said something wrong my lady, or out of place." He just said, still looking at her calmly, he wondered why her attitude changed a little, she seemed sad lately, but about what? He didn't say something bad did he? He just kept looking at her.

She turned her head in his direction and shook her head. "What you said is not wrong. However, it makes me sad." She paused and folded her arms in her lap. "He is a good man. Good to me and to my family," she said softly. |

"Oh your family knows him, then that's good no? When will he be here?" Salazar said, curious to who it is and oblivious that she was mentioning him, he seemed oblivious to completely everything, the fact she got sad because of what he said, he wasn't interested in weddings not until he finds the right one, he just kept looking at her a bit confused.

Helga looked at him sadly and gave half a nod. "Yes they know him. He often comes to our balls." His last question seemed to distress her further and she looked like she was unsure on how to reply. Helga looked away to avoid his eyes and whispered very softly, "He is already here." She was not even sure if he had heard her and all of a sudden found herself hoping he hadn't. |

Salazar listened, he was interested to see the individual, he probably saw him in the ball, he heard just bits of what she whispered, all he heard was the already part, he looked at her. "Excuse me lady Helga.. but already what, I'm afraid I didn't hear correctly, perhaps I'm starting to get too old." Salazar said as he looked at her calmly.
