Sarah paced back and forth in her common room. She was not the biggest fan of Rowena Ravenclaw, but she would not have ran out on her lesson without great need. She had not expected this to happen. It would not have been as bad if Cole were here, Sarah told herself. But maybe that was why he was gone. Sarah put her face in her hands and ran out of the portrait hole sobbing. She knocked someone over on her way out but didn't bother to apologize.
Sarah ran until she came to the Hospital Wing. It was the only place she could think of turning to at the time. Sarah wiped her tears away and stepped up to the double doors. Taking in a breath, she knocked on the door lightly. She then stepped back and flattened her robe against her stomach self-conciously. She made a retching sound and put a hand to her mouth as she winced. She didn't believe her situation couldn't have been worse.

Alexandra was sat calmly at her desk, one elbow propped up on the desk, while she looked at the book laid on the desk. She heard a light knock, and stood. She hurried over to the doors, and pulled them open. Alexandra never left the doors locked - yes, she locked her office, but she would never lock the hospital wings doors, just in case - She looked started as she saw the head girl Sarah Peverell. "Are you alright?" she asked in a concerned tone. The girl looked like she had been crying. "Is there anything you want to talk about?" she asked gently. She walked her into the Hospital Wing and sat her on one of the beds.

Sarah knew it was only a matter of time before she had to tell the professors anyway. Sarah linked her hands in her lap nervously. "Well, I am alright. Yes." Sarah nodded awkwardly. "Cole and I, Cole Potter, well he's missing now. But before he went-" Sarah swallowed hard as she said the word and tears welled up in her eyes again, "-we were trying to get pregnant. And I think I am." Sarah put her face in her hands again. It was liberating having told someone. But she wondered what Alexandra might think of her. "He did not leave me, I know it." Sarah didn't really believe this, her cloak was gone, he was gone. She didn't want to admit it though.

Alexandra smiled gently, and knelt down in front of Sarah. She listened to what Sarah had to say, she did not judge the girl. "I know many people, who have had babies in their last year. For example, my mother. She was just 16 when she had me." She said calmly. She stood and sat next to her, placing her hands in her lap. "Do you want to find out?" she asked Sarah softly. "I can find out for you" she finished. "I could not tell you Sarah, I don't know any of the circumstances in which he 'left'" she said softly. The Medi-Witch of a french background sighed again. She had lived in England her whole life, but her parents were french. Her fiance was also french. She sighed, she missed her fiance.

Sarah looked up at Alexandra coldly. She had always known people usually only meant to help her. She had never trusted anyone but Cole. Eventually, she nodded and agreed. "Sure. Tell me for sure." Sarah held her breath for a moment. She tried to stifle her whimpers. "It's not that I don't want a child. It's just that he's gone. I think it might be my fault. My father's cloak..." Sarah stopped herself and shuddered from head to toe suddenly.

Alexandra was a little shocked at the cold look she got from Sarah, but said nothing. "Okay, one second" she said, she stood and walked to her stock cupboard. She pulled out a potion she kept very little of, she kept maybe ten bottles, when she kept maybe two dozen of the other potions. She poured it it a cup, and walked over handing it to Sarah. "Drink up" she said calmly. A blue glow would appear if she was pregnant, and a red if she was not. "It must be hard, but don't loose faith" she said softly. She looked a little concerned. "Are you okay?" she asked after Sarah shuddered. She didn't think anything of the mention to her fathers cloak, for all Alexandra knew it could be a simple black cloak.

Sarah shook her head. Still frowning miserably. She had felt worse than this before. But there was a difference between present and past. "I am fine." She tried to seem stronger than she felt. She wondered if she would feel better knowing for sure, even as she grasped the cup carefully and put it to her lips. She reconsidered however and with trembling hands, put the potion down on a bed-side table. Sarah cleared her eyes of tears, "I will wait for Cole. I know he will return to me." Sarah stood up and held her stomach in her arms as she walked with her head bowed toward the exit. She turned at the door and looked at Alexandra with what she hoped seemed apologetic. "Thank you. For listening."
