Anya ran her hands through her long hair. She was a little annoyed, yet again students had failed to put the books away. She was thinking about banning them. Seeing as she had to pack up after them like a slave. She banished the books into their rightful places, and huffed. "Flipping untidy students, leave the poor Librarian to do all the work" she muttered to herself. She sat down in her chair, behind her desk, and leant back, she was pretty tired.

It had to have a name, all plants had a name even the ones no one knew about had a name; this one Emmeline knew was a known plant she remember seeing it in Asia, in the middle of the dessert; what she wanted to know was how a plant only known to grow in hot areas had some how made it to England and grown (quite well from what she had seen) in a forest....in the dark. If only she could remember the name of the plant she now held pressed between to slices of glass.
Spinning around the corner that lead into the library Emmeline headed toward the piles of books she had left out before she had flash of memory telling her the plant she had been holding acted as an irritant to the skin. It was bad form for her to leave her work station in such a mess she knew but she thought saving herself a bit of discomfort had been more important than setting the books away nicely. With her dress flapping behind her Emmeline slid as gracefully as one could after practically sliding across the waxed wooden floor, into the seat she had vacated only 30 minutes ago only to find that her selected books were no longer where she had left them, in fact they were no longer on her desk or anywhere else she could see.
Glaring into the stacks Emmeline stood from her chair; someone had messed with her work, there was going to be pain for some very silly person. Hissing through her clenched teeth Emmeline spun on her heal looking for the librarian, she knew she would have seen who was at the table. Leaving the pressed flower on the table she moved over to the other woman's desk in order to not have to shout "Lady Thorpe?" She called as she approached hoping not the startle the woman who appeared tobe catching up on a bit of sleep

Anya had just fallen into a light sleep when someone called out her name, she hopped up quickly, stumbling in the process but not falling over. "What?" she asked. "Oh Lady Morgan, what is wrong?" she asked, wanting to get back to her sleep. She didn't particularly enjoy it when the intelligent students wanted to read for longer in the library, and it meant she would have to shoo them out at ridiculous times. She muttered under her breath "God it's cold" she pulled out her wand and lit the fire place, she moved towards it, and held her hands in front of the flames, before standing to face Professor Morgan again.

Watching with slight amusement as the other woman jumped from her seat and lit the rather large library fire; an action Emmeline assumed she did to hide the fact that she had been startled. "I'm sorry to have disturbed your sleep Lady Thorpe but I hope you can help me" Moving toward the fire Emmeline gestured toward her table that now held her contained specimen
"You wouldn't happen to know what happened to the reference books off the table over there would you?" She asked, through she really didn't expect the woman to know she didn't seem to be taking her duty very seriously. Sleeping behind the desk wasn't part of the head librarians duty she was sure.

Anya swept off imaginary dirt from her robes, and looked at Lady Morgan. "That table?" she repeated, "well yes I just cleared them away, seeing as no-one was here" she paused "why?" she asked. Anya had cleared many desks that night, and didn't remember who had sat at which one. Anya did not like the room to be left in a mess.

Resisting the urge to run her fingers though her hair Emmeline let the arm she had been holding out toward her table drop to her side, 3 hours of research and it had been all for nothing because of an idiotic mistake. "The books on that table where what I was using to help me research a plant." Biting her lip in annoyance Emmeline turned to look to other woman in the face "Research that you have just set back by roughly 4 hours" She snapped, not bothering to take the annoyance out of her tone. It was this woman's job to observe the people in this room, as far as Emmeline was concerned she should have been aware of who's work she was interrupting 'She was probably sleeping'
"Please try to be more aware of your surroundings Lady Thorpe, you are lucky this time that it was only for my own entertainlent that the books where there, be sure that next time you do not interfer with something more deadly, I'm sure for one Lord Slytherin wouldn't take your mistakes lightly" She sneered at the woman, she wasn't so upset really, as she said to Anastasia, she was researching for her own entertainment more than to solve a big mystery but she couldn't help but be rude when the woman seem so unaffected by Emmeline's inquiry, not that she would need show more worry as the woman knew; of course where all the books had gone. "Tell me; where did you put the A-Z of the Fungi of Greece?"

Anya did not sleep while she was working, which was why she was usually tired from standing all day, and having to wait up for the stragglers, usually the students made notes of what books they were using. Anya looked embarrassed. "Oh my" she started. "I'm sorry, students usually leave their things in a mess, so when it comes to the time I have to clear everything away, I get a.... little carried away" she apologized.
"I can help you find the books if you wish" Anya said offering a sincere smile, any paper work Emmeline had done, would have been left, but the books would have gone away. Anya's smile fell, and she frowned slightly "Well, I was not to know you were coming back Lady Morgan" she felt a little annoyed at the 'telling off' she was getting. "I put it back were it belonged" she murmured, then walked over to a shelf and pulled it down, somehow Anya had managed to remember where all the books went, and never muddled them up. She was glad that the heat of the fire was now warming the cold room.
