Lesuth drew a red cloth from the his crimson cloak. He had taken to the Gryffindor colors completely in his fourth year. Very few of his possessions were not red or gold. Lesuth bounded forward from his bed and flew down the stairs to the common room only touching the stairs themselves to make sure he turned with the spiral staircase. He landed on his feet at the bottom with a loud thud. He had been the first of the seventh years to wake. He was used to waking up before anyone else for his Head Boy responsibilities. He usually spent this time in the early morning helping the caretaker or groundskeeper depending on which one he had aided the previous morning or who had more work that needed doing. He wonder if he ought to continue doing that. Unlikely the new Head Boy would.
He sighed and decided not to. He would go down to help them at other times. Now he wasn't feeling so well having quit his post as the Head Boy. Lesuth had, at least, had a portrait made of him wearing the badge before he gave it back to Gryffindor. He smirked at this and wondered if he should place it in some dark corner of the school. His picture and with the Head Boy badge, in the school forever. Lesuth liked the idea.
His dreaming was disturbed by footsteps coming from the girl's dormitory staircase however. Lesuth looked up suddenly and cursed as he put his hand through his hair, trying to make it lie flat. He smelled his arm pit to be certain he didn't smell too awfully. Then he stood and waited for his fellow student to land in the common room.

Roxanna had woken, from falling out of bed after a rather vivid nightmare. Pulling on a silk robe over her flannel pajama shorts and tank top, she went to walk from the Girls Dormitory, not bothering to change from her bed clothes just yet, it was pretty early. She ran a hand through her messy hair, only tying it back into a messy bun. She stepped as quietly as she could down the stairs, only to trip on them and land heavily - luckily on her feet. She stumbled down the last few steps, to find Lesuth in the common room. She smiled at him sweetly, "Hello" she said quietly, she didn't really want to wake anyone else, so kept her voice low. She looked down and gave a very quiet yelp as she realized she was still wearing her night clothes, and robe.

Lesuth had never seen a girl that hadn't dressed yet. His cheeks grew red at the sight and he looked away, unsure if he should leave or not. He would usually work whenever he was awake, though he was a sociable boy. He did not have indecent intentions, as other boys did.
"Morning." Was all he could mutter after a few moments of silence. Lesuth chanced another glance at Roxanna. "Err. Did you sleep well?" Lesuth sat back down on the sofa rather quickly. Going to help the caretaker did not seem like such a bad idea anymore.

Roxanna looked at him, then down to herself again. She wondered if she should run up and change, the action would probably wake someone. Roxanna couldn't do anything quietly, her clumsiness always affected it someway or another. A small smile graced her lips for a second when he had the decency to look away. "Um.. No, not really, what about you?" she said a little unsure, after a while, "Sorry one second" she said before running carefully up the stairs, quickly pulling on some decent clothes and running back down, again with care. "Sorry about that, I didn't think anyone would be down here" she said softly, she walked over and sat down next to him on the sofa.

Lesuth half expected to be chased out of the common room by a horde of angry women but when Roxanna came back down alone he was visibly more relaxed. It seemed silly, chasing dark wizards one day to be scared of girls the next. He merely sighed. "Normally, I wouldn't be here. You see, I'm no longer Head Boy." Lesuth chuckled and turned away from Roxanna to hide his frown. It had been Natalie's idea to turn the badge back in. "Probably was never good enough for it anyway." Lesuth tried to laugh again but it sounded more like a whimper.

Roxanna looked at him, her eyes were soft and gentle, listening as he spoke, "I heard about that" she said softly. She'd heard that he had given in his badge, and she had been shocked. Roxanna's eyes widened, then she blinked quickly. "What?" she almost asked. "Of course you were good enough, you were - are - everything a Head Boy should be." her tone was shocked but gentle. She crossed her ankles and leant back into the sofa. She sighed and smiled at him. She closed her eyes relaxing, her eyes still felt tired even though she had woken up already.

Lesuth turned his head back to Roxanna. He was not very happy at the moment. He just wanted to help people. As frightened as he was though, he could not quit on this mission. "I know. I don't know why I said that." He really hated how bleak his new mentor made things out to be. He had always preferred to stay positive before. "Probably alot better than that hack they got to replace me. He's-" Lesuth stopped talking as he gazed at Roxanna. He found her so beautiful, he wondered how he hadn't noticed her before. "You sure are pretty," his lips suddenly spoke without his consent. He had thought it would be a stupid thing to say at first. But now that it was out he didn't care.

Roxanna smiled, and said nothing. She sighed and nodded. She was still leant back into the sofa, relaxing. "Well I don't really know the new Head boy" she said slowly. "Well, you were their first choice for the Head Boy, that has to mean something" she said sitting up. Roxanna looked a little confused that he had stopped in the middle of his sentence Her cheeks turned a vivid red at his compliment. "T-Thank you Lesuth" she stuttered, embarrassed, and looked down at her hands. She was pleased of course, glad he thought of her as pretty. "Your really handsome too" she said softly. She looked up the colour in her cheeks dying and fading into a light pink. She bit her lip gently, and looked at him.

Lesuth shuffled in the sofa to sit up. "Sorry, if I startled you. I really think you're a great person. You know, saying I deserved the badge and all. I just didn't want to talk about the new Head Boy anymore. And I didn't know what else to change the subject to." Lesuth shrugged. "I thank you as well. For not hitting me." Lesuth smirked at Roxanna. "Seriously, I think I've been making alot of mistakes lately. Do you ever get that feeling?" Lesuth stared at Roxanna, finally glad someone wasn't dissapointed with him.

"It's okay, I didn't mind" she smiled at him, "Thank you, I'm not great" she said softly. "You did deserve it" she exclaimed. She looked a little confused, "I hope you don't mind me asking" she paused and then carried on "Why did you give up the badge?". She smiled "It's understandable, if it was me, I wouldn't want to either" she said with a small shrug. She looked bemused "Its okay, now why on earth would I hit you?" she asked, one eyebrow raised. Roxanna sighed, she replied gently "Everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect" smiling a small smile "I get that a lot of the time" she expressed gently, her tone soft. She smiled at him sweetly and leaned forwards so her elbows were on her knees and rubbed at her eyes, getting any 'sleep' out of them.

Lesuth grimaced he hadn't ever been so unsure in his life. He shrugged and whispered, "Professor Fletcher told me to. We're trying to expose a Slytherin student as a murderer. She said I should give it up so that it didn't cut into my time. I think I agree. I think I could have managed though." Lesuth had never messed up before now. Even if he had, it was always a simple matter of solving the problem from a different angle and eventually overcoming it. Now there seemed no way to work at this problem without getting someone hurt or maimed. "I don't fail. Ever." Lesuth shrugged and checked the clock quickly.

"Professor Fletcher, told you too?" she asked rather than stated. Roxanna's eyes widened again "Murder?" she asked her tone shocked and a little scared. Sighing, she played with her fingers subconciously. "Which student?" she asked softly, looking up at him from under her eyelashes. Roxanna looked at him "Never?" she questioned, Roxanna had failed at so many things. She didn't want to name them, but she felt failing was alright if you learnt from it.

Lesuth returned his gaze to Roxanna's eyes. He hadn't thought of warning students. "It's Viktor. Viktor Lorrien. I dueled him once, he is very good. I lost." Lesuth hated to admit defeat but there was no way he would have beat Viktor. He had the urge to make excuses though he kept his mouth shut. "I don't think I like Professor Fletcher either. She is very depressing to be around. It's like being near a dementor almost." Lesuth wished he could summon a Patronus and simply ward the DADA professor away. "Would you come to Hogsmeade with me later today? Or do you already have plans? Maybe next weekend?" Lesuth shrugged and his eyes wandered away from Roxanna again.

Roxanna grimaced, “Viktor” she said slowly. She had heard of him, and hadn't liked what she had heard, . “No one can win all the time, everyone looses sometimes” she said softly. She was glad he had not made a silly excuse as to why he lost. Most boys would have to help their trampled ego. “Maybe she is cold, because of a personal experience, maybe its just a defence mechanism” she said softly. Roxanna didn't like the professor all that much, but she always tried to see the best in people. She curled her legs up under her, on the chair, shifting slightly so that she was sitting diagonally and facing him. She smiled at him, “I was only going to lounge around the common room, maybe read for a while today, so no I don't have plans already. I would gladly go to Hogsmeade with you” brightly smiling at him, she answered his question.

Lesuth nodded meaningfully. "I don't think he's the only one. Salazar and his lot seem to be up to something as well. Could be just a snake charming competition but somehow I doubt that." Lesuth looked back to Roxanna. He didn't want to seem dodgy so he sat up straight again.
"Hmm. I hadn't thought of that. I still say she's strange though." Lesuth put his elbow on the back of the sofa and rested his head in his hand. When Roxanna shifted her position on the sofa, Lesuth grinned at her.
He had been afraid she'd decline but when she accepted he hid his excitement as best he could. "I see. Great. What are you interested in reading?" Lesuth seemed to grow brighter at the promise of more time with Roxanna.
