Salazar remained in his office, writing on the usual parchments, he couldn't believe himself that he still remained in this place, he hated the fact that the others were against his ideas, he didn't like having mudbloods, he sighed, as his snake pet wrapped around him. Salazar caressed it's head, talking with it while working on his writing.
"Ah bloody hell, why am I still here?" He sighs calmly still writing on that parchment and also taking a look on a few exams that piled up, he still needed to correct them, he looked at a few of them and shook his head. "Failure...failure... failure... oh there is a good one." He looks at the exam for a while searching for the name, he recognized it by handwritting, it belonged to a Muggle born student, he looked at it for a while, before also failing it even if she passed everything.
Salazar then focused back on his paper, until he heard a knock on his door, he looked at his snake pet, patting it for a while. ''Go away I'm busy.''

Rowena had never loved the dungeons, even though she had, to a certain extent, helped building them. She preferred open, light spaces and that was the reason her office and her house's common room were up in the tower. Rowena wanted her students to feel comfortable in order to be more successful in everything they did. It was quite a logical concept.
So, Rowena stopped in front of Salazar's door and gave a small knock. A small smile appeared on her face after she heard his rather impolite words. She opened the door and walked into the room. "My, Salazar, as friendly as always." Rowena closed the door behind her and moved a bit closer to his desk, carefully avoiding to come too close to his pet snake. She raised an eyebrow, waiting for Salazar's witty or ironic answer. Sometimes she thought she knew him too well, but some other times he was an enigma. Rowena was wondering what would become of their meeting tonight.

Salazar looked annoyed as the door opened up, he was about to shout at the student but it ended up being Rowena, he just gave her a smile. "If I knew it would of been you, I would of gave you a proper greeting, make a bunch of house elf dance, or perhaps make a few of the muggle students dance hmm?" Salazar looked at her with his devilish smile.
"I am merely finishing on the grading of these papers, my my... the muggles sure ended up to be stupid like I thought they would be...but no always go against Salazar's ideas, but it's okay, really I'm over that." Salazar says, looking at his parchment before looking back at Rowena. "Would you like some tea?" He looked as his snake crawled toward him, hearing it. "Ah now now my dear Rowena, don't be rude to my pet snake, you know he likes you, you hurt his feelings.."

Rowena tried not to roll her eyes. "Thank you very much, Salazar. That wouldn't be necessary, no matter how amusing your ideas might be." Rowena sighed; some things simply couldn't be changed. "However, were you the one to do a greeting dance for me, I might change my mind and let you." Rowena looked at Salazar with a similarly devilish smile on her face.
"Oh, honestly Salazar!" Rowena raised her voice, gazing at her colleague. "How many times have I told you not to let your personal feelings cloud your judgment?" She frowned at his next words. "Let me refresh your memory, there are four houses in our school for a reason. We have already told you, you can do whatever you want in your own house, but leave our students alone!" Rowena slowly lowered herself into the chair. "Yes, I would like a cup of tea, thank you." she answered politely, but rather coldly. "It would be a pity if I hurt his feelings." Rowena looked at the snake, which crawled towards its master. "I apologise for hurting your feelings." she spoke, trying hard to keep a straight face. "Better?" she asked, turning to look at Salazar.

Salazar just looked at Rowena and chuckled. "Well now, should of known." He said, getting up, he started dancing as a way of 'proper greeting'. "Tatummta tata" He said, and then chuckled, sitting back, a house elf appearing. "Two cup of tea, make it fast." Salazar said coldly, without even looking at the elf, he smiled. "Ah good, you apologized, that is excellent I think it's happy now." He talks to his pet snake, eventually the snake 'leaving', he looks back at her and sighs, going back to the tests, grading those papers again, as the snake crawls on Rowena.
"Oh he just wants a kiss, that's all, told him to crawl on you and that you'd give him a kiss." Salazar said, looking back at her, he gives her a little smile. "So my dear Rowena, is there something I can do for you.. and..why did you visit me exactly?"

Rowena raised an eyebrow as Salazar got up. Her eyes widened in shock an amusement as she watched him dancing. When he was done, Rowena started laughing and eventually clapped her hands. "I didn't know you could dance, Salazar." She was still chuckling when the house elf appeared. Her expression changed immediately as the snake touched her robes and dress and started crawling on her.
"You know, Salazar, Alfie wouldn't be happy if he knew that you were trying to make me kiss someone... or something other than him." Rowena was trying to remain calm and hide her immense disgust with the creature. "Well, I might tell you if you order your snake to leave. Will you be so kind and do it?"

Salazar looks at her and smiles, eventually the elf appearing with their cup of teas, he keeps smiling as he looks at her, the snake successfully on Rowena's shoulders, it's tongue touching her cheek. Salazar ends up laughing. "Seems like he likes you, no I think he looks good on your shoulders." Salazar said, with a chuckle but he eventually called the snake off after a few minutes. "Ah that was amusing."
Salazar said with a smile as he looked at her. "Is your daughter fine with you being with a different man than your.. deceased husband?" He said looking at her, he then gave her a smile, taking a sip of the tea. "Hmm this is good, we did well getting these low creatures here.. ah so good, should of ordered some cookies." Salazar gives her a serious look.
"So what is it about Rowena? What is your reason for coming here, when you know I'd be grading some papers? Is there..something I'm unaware of?"

Rowena shivered when the snake's tongue touched her cheek. Trying not to make any sudden move, her hand slowly moved towards the inner pocket of her robe, where she held her wand. Her fingers were already touching the wood when Salazar called the snake off. Rowena gave him an icy cold smile.
"That has nothing to do with you, Salazar." she answered, trying to mirror his smile. She took her cup and took a sip of the tea. It tasted really good. "What, you can't simply summon them?" she teased. A moment later, she pulled her wand out and summoned a large plate of biscuits with one quick move of her wand. Rowena took a biscuit from the plate and dipped it in her tea. "I believe that you are aware that our guests will be arriving in a couple of weeks." Rowena bit into the soft biscuit and took another sip of the tea. "I only wanted to ask you to behave yourself." she added.

Salazar looked at the plate of cookies. "I don't trust the taste it might have when we use our magic to materialize them... might be from the House elves.. .might not be." He takes a cookie and sniffs it, eventually dipping it in his tea and eating it. "Meh... not so bad I guess." Drinks his tea a bit looking over at Rowena.
"Oh we are having guests now are we.. interesting." Salazar says, coldly as he finishes his tea, and refills it. "Ah... such a waste of time, can't we send these guests away?" Salazar said, he didn't want them in here, cause it would make leaving Hogwarts difficult.. and that means he'd have to stay a bit longer, he sighs calmly. "Me behave? I always behave my dear Rowena, you know me.. I'm at my best behavior, as long as they aren't mudbloods."

"There is no need to worry, as long as you know where you are summoning them from. And you should know such things." Rowena said the last sentence very slowly, with emphasis on every single word. "I'm glad that you like them." Rowena teased again, taking another biscuit.
Rowena almost dropped the cookie she was holding. "Honestly, Salazar! Stop acting like a fool or I'll might believe that you are one!" Rowena frowned. "No, we cannot send them away! We have already arranged everything. Besides, I'm sure you'll find many friends amongst our guests from Durmstrang. I've heard that they do not accept Muggle-born students." Rowena said bitterly.

"Aww you are so fun when annoyed my dear Rowena." Salazar said, with a little smile, drinking some of his tea, before taking another biscuit. He listened to her talk, so they would be a competition for Hogwarts..he wondered who was the other rival, he hoped it wasn't that bloody French school, he put his cup back down, remaining silent for a while.
"Oh yes.. good friends, good fellows, not like the people that were supposed to be my best friends...betraying me to let some mudbloods study here.. yup... mmhmm.." He muttered to himself, looking back to Rowena again. "Please tell me Beauxbaton isn't part of it... I hate those French idiots, we already have a french idiot coming over and that's Helga's fiance."

"I am glad that at least one of us finds it amusing." Rowena answered. She rolled her eyes at his comment about friendship. "You never cease to amaze me, Salazar. You are able to act like a complete idiot at times, but you have really gone too far this time." Rowena was surprisingly calm and she made a small pause before continuing. "I see that your hospitality has no limits. Yes, Beauxbatons is also coming, whether you like it or not. It would be appreciated if you didn't repeat what you've just said in front of Helga. I am used to your insults, directed to me or Alphard, but she is more sensible.She might even take you seriously and get offended.

He looked at Rowena and just gave her a smile. "Aww come on Rowena, you are breaking my fun, you got too serious these days, seems like your boyfriend doesn't know how to entertain you." Salazar said and then chuckled, as his snake pet crawled on him, he caressed his head. "Oh me and my pet snake will greet Beauxbaton accordingly, and no worries I won't say anything like that in front of Helga, she is too emotional it's unhealthy."
Salazar said with a smile, he looked back at Rowena. "A few of these students failed their potion task.. I refuse to have them in my class since they aren't good in the subject.. just thought you should know.. it involves a few Ravenclaws... hufflepuffs..and Gryffindors."

"You would be surprised, Salazar. I could tell you stories..." Rowena answered with a grin. "I'm sorry I'm ruining your fun, but you should be reminded sometimes that some things need to be taken seriously." She smiled again. "Behave, Salazar." she repeated as though talking to a naughty child. Rowena decided not to comment his vision of Helga, so she was satisfied with a simple "Thank you."
"It's your subject, you are allowed to fail everyone who deserved it." she said shrugging. "There are several Slytherin students who will unfortunately fail Charms this year. They are immensely arrogant and unwilling to work." Rowena sipped her tea again. "I am certain that you're looking forward to seeing your Durmstrang friends. Will you support their champions, rather than ours?"

Salazar looks at Rowena for a while, at the grin he just smirks. "My my, someone did naughty stuff..I can recognize those grins my dear." Salazar says, eating the biscuit as he looked at her, taking another sip from his tea. "Oh it depends... if the hogwarts champion is a dirty muggle then of course I'll root for Dumrstrangs champion, but you know that already." Salazar said giving her another smile.
"Why do you ask questions when you already know the answers my dear Rowena." He listened to her calmly and smiled. "Bet you wish all the Slytherin students were like Viktor and excelled in everything." He looked at her calmly. "Your students were also unwilling to work in potions my dear Rowena, mediocre, every last of them wonder why you even took them in your house."
