"No he excels in potions.... that's all I know, some students have been talking though." Salazar said, touching his beard once more. "Apparently he went to Morgana's shop, to learn dark magic." Salazar said, shrugging he wasn't sure if the student has anything odd about him, he just looked away calmly. "He seems popular enough but.. strangely... the silent type." He said, sometimes he could feel something strange about his eyes, he pondered on that and sighed. ""And I heard some of the girl students talking, that his eyes stared deep into your soul and coldly. Lily seems uncomfortable around him."

"That's strange, silent children aren't usually the most popular ones." Rowena said with a distant look on her face, she had never been quite popular when she was a child and for some reason she believed that Salazar hadn't been popular either. "I think we should do something about that woman, she might actually get dangerous. You should really go talk to her, since she won't listen to anyone of us." She had to agree with Lily and the other girls. "Indeed, there is something about him... something I can't quite explain..."

"I don't know, I'll be sending a student there... and it is odd, but I heard he is extremely good with explosion spells and.... powerful magic that some 7th years aren't supposed to control really well. My snake saw it. Salazar said, touching his beard calmly. "Lily seems to be fearful of him, I can see it in her eyes.. the way she looks at Viktor.. and he looks back at her.. mockingly.. Something happened I don't know what."

"He is talented, but he couldn't have learned those spells all by himself." said Rowena and looked at Salazar. She knew he was a bit more flexible about what kind of magic they should teach, than the other three. "I thought it was impossible to fool you." she added. Salazar's Legillimence talents were well known to everyone, including Rowena. He could get most of information just by looking at someone in the eyes.

"That's the thing Rowena... I can't enter his mind, it is like it has self defense, he doesn't even need to protect his mind with magic, he sends me to made up memories." Salazar said, as he looked away calmly, how was that possible, he shook his head. "His mind is more of a labyrinth than Merlin's mind was." Salazar said as he sighed calmly, he didn't understand this child. 'Even in his sleep, his mind is protected, feels like his self conscience is protecting his mind at all times."

"How is that possible?" Rowena also wondered. "It's strange that a boy... a child of 17 can trick older, wiser, more experienced wizards. That isn't right." she sighed and moved towards her chair to take a seat. "It has to end! He is nothing more than a child with talent and no brains. But the question of the murderer still remains. And the person who tried to kill me..." Rowena shook her head.

"No brains? The fact he can trick us means he has brains Rowena, what did the boy do to you to set you off in a bad mood?" Salazar said as he looked at her, he thought it was weird, he had to find out about this boy, but how? He sighed calmly, some stuff didn't seem quite natural, he looked at her again calmly. "I don't think we should underestimate him, we might regret it. He is hiding something in his memories though that's for sure." Salazar said, being more suspicious about this boy, he touched his beard calmly like he usually does when he was thinking.

Rowena just sighed and touched her diadem absent minded. "I am not in a bad mood and I am not underestimating him. I am just worried he might do something." Rowena just looked at Salazar for some time, playing with her curls as she always did when she was trying to hide how annoyed she was. "We have to find out what he is hiding." she kept looking at Salazar as she spoke. Helga and Godric would never agree or understand, but Rowena was thinking of letting Salazar use the veritaserum on the boy.

"He is Charismatic and yet people avoid him, it is like they are afraid of him, of something, I don't get it." Salazar said, he listened to Rowena and knew what she wanted him to do, he sighed calmly, touching his beard again. "No he is good in potions, he can make complex potions, I even saw him concoct some polyjuice potion, he tried to hide it but I knew what it was." Salazar said, he sighed calmly. "We need Helga if we are to use the veritaserum on Viktor, we need her to make some food and sprinkle it on Viktor's plate."

Helga was going through her mail when she stumbled across a letter branded with the Ministry mark. She looked down at the envelope and narrowed her eyes. Helga broke the seal, extracted the letter and started reading. She was evidentially not happy with what she was seeing. Helga stood up and hurried towards the staffroom. As she pushed the door open she caught bits and pieces of what Salazar was saying; Helga, food, sprinkle. The young professor slipped inside the room and said sternly, "I do hope you do not intend on tempering with my food Monsieur Slytherin." Her face softened and she greeted both Salazar and Rowena with a nod and a smile. |

"Yes, I've noticed that. Maybe he did something to someone, but they are keeping it hidden from us?" Rowena asked as she glanced at Salazar again. Then she sighed and shook her head. "No, she'd never agree to..." she started, but was interrupted by Helga's entrance. Rowena returned her friend's smile. "Of course not, you know Salazar would never do such thing. It would be like one of us meddling with his potions." she said and glanced at him with raised eyebrows.

He was about to tell Rowena, to force Helga to do it, he opened his mouth but he didn't see anything as he looked at Helga. He touched his beard for a while, listening to Helga and then Rowena. "Oh of course not, I wouldn't ask her to make some food so I can put some veritaserum potion so I can use it on a student that is far too enigmatic. No of course, no such thoughts." He said, looking at Helga and Rowena innocently. "Nope nothing of that sort. Not at all. Let's just let the ministry come over here and refuse to comply it's as easy as that."

Helga relaxed at Rowena's words and gently touched her forehead while saying, "How silly of me. I beg your pardon Salazar for my improper thoughts." Her smile disappeared from her face and she looked at Slytherin in shook. She regarding him in silence and suspiciously. At the mention of the Ministry she handed them the letter she had just received and said, "Ah yes. I have been notified barely five minutes ago. However there was no explanation on the reason of this invasion. Does either of you know? Or perhaps Monsieur Gryffindor?" |

Rowena stared at Slytherin, too shocked to say anything. He did exactly what she, with her gaze had asked him not to. Helga seemed too shocked with his words, too, but the good thing was that Salazar always spoke ironically. Rowena didn't even bother taking the letter. "Well, there was an accident... nobody got hurt and it wasn't really anything important... but... well, someone used one of my students to try to kill me." she finished and looked at Salazar, as if she was asking for his help.

One of my students mother and aunt were murdered, they are after that too and want to question Viktor about it... with the use of the Veritaserum potion so they can know the truth." Salazar said, looking at Helga and Rowena, he might not seem annoyed as he was rather calm, but inside he was mad, mad that the ministry would meddle into their affairs, he sighed calmly, still seeming relaxed as he touched his beard. "Viktor is not a normal student.. there is some things about him... I can't enter his mind, he fabricates new memories... false ones, he is a complete puzzle, feels like he is hiding something."
