Rowena was still sobbing and shaking. "He wouldn't let me stay... but I could have saved him... and I could have saved Alfie, he died because of me... they both died because of me... I'm a murderer, Salazar!"

"Murderer, you? Please you couldn't even kill a fly, you're too kind for that." He said still hugging her, he caressed her back softly, not quite sure what to do to comfort his friend, he didn't suffer ways like she did, he sighed calmly. "None of this is your fault, we need someone to find who the killer is, we will stop him, I promise."

Rowena held tight to Salazar, as if her life depended on it. Just his presence and his touch were enough to make her feel better, to comfort her. "Yes, yes... we'll find him... I believe in you..." Rowena tried to calm down a bit "Those people down there, why did he kill them all? How could anyone do something like this?" Rowena sighed, her red swollen eyes looking around the room. "Do you think... do you think he suffered?"

Salazar looked at Rowena, he wasn't sure, he pulled back approaching the body putting his hands on the skin, looking calmly, he could tell just by looking and touching at the skin. "He suffered from the Cruciatus curse" He said, as he sighed calmly, getting back up, he caressed his chin calmly, he knew by now the wizard council would arrive, he looked back at Rowena and approached her, giving another hug. At least Alfie looked peaceful when he died.

Rowena stared at Salazar as he approached the body and examined it. The red words were still there above her head, reminding her of what she'd done. Rowena took a deep breath and started sobbing again. She managed to calm down a bit when Salazar hugged her, she just wanted him to stay close. "Salazar... I know you used to be friends, but he never wanted to talk about it. Why?" Rowena looked at her friend and colleague, wiping her tears.

"We had a falling out, we were too.... different from each other." But where they this different? He didn't remember, he sighed, they had the same thoughts on blood purity, what was the falling out of their friendship? Maybe he was afraid of giving him the Elder Wand or talking about it to him, most people would see him as a dark individual. "He probably thought I'd take the wand for myself."

Rowena was surprised with Salazar's words, she always though how similar they were, in their pureblood prejudice, although Alfie always behaved more arrogant than Salazar. Intelligence, power and arrogance... no wonder she was in love with the man. Rowena sighed and looked away. That was exactly what Alfie had told her and the main reason he hadn't trusted Salazar, but she could never tell him that he guessed right. Then, another thought appeared in Rowena's mind. "Salazar, what if someone comes and sees us here?"

"Being arrogant leads to this." Salazar said, as he looked away from, the body, he took Rowena's hand and apparated away from the place, in a place a bit closer to Hogwarts, he sighed calmly, looking at Rowena. "He was greedy, keeping the wand for himself when he could of hid it somewhere, forever, where no one would find it or be able to take it. That wand is a death wish. I thought he was brilliant, and I thought you were as well."

Rowena looked at Salazar with a frown. "He wanted to keep it hidden, it was his plan, to be the final master of the wand. Nobody was supposed to know about the wand, it was supposed to be our secret. He was brilliant, Salazar, he was a great man!" Rowena sighed sadly. "He offered it to me, but I refused. I didn't want to take it!"

"That was not an act of brilliance Rowena, eventually someone else would of found out, specially if you stay in a place like the three broomsticks. " He said looking at her, where was Rowena's brilliance, was it truly gone? All he could see was arrogance, his friend wasn't this way, no she wasn't in the past, he looked away and sighed calmly. "With your acts you put yourself and your daughter in danger, your husband sacrificed himself to save both of you.. and you're letting his sacrifice be in vain."

"Oh, Salazar, he managed to keep the wand hidden for over 20 years. You were his friend and didn't know about it. I told you! You're only jealous that he didn't trust you enough to tell you his secrets, that he trusted me, a woman he'd know much shorter than you!" Rowena narrowed her eyes. "I would never have used the wand and if we hid it, someone might have found it." When he started talking about her husband, Rowena started shaking again. "Stop it, you've really crossed the line..."

"Why would I be jealous of him Rowena, he is considered a second class wizard by many, he had it over 20 years and yet he did nothing to change the bloody tale of the wand, look where it got him." Salazar said, looking back at Rowena, angry that she seemed to be so stupid and not use that intellect she is known for. "His arrogance killed him, one day or the next your obsessive fan would of found out eventually" Salazar said, still looking at her. "Yet you prefer him to your dead husband, ironic isn't it, his death was pretty much in vain, look at your relation with your daughter, you don't even make an effort."

Rowena shook her head. "Salazar, please... he was trying to change it, but failed. I tried to help him, but I failed him and he died because of me! Please... stop saying those awful things, show some respect to dead..." When he started to talk about her husband, Rowena moved closer to him and slapped him. "Salazar, leave me alone! Stop talking about my family! Stop mentioning Helena, stop mentioning my husband!"

When he received the slap it turned his head to the left, he turned his head again, looking at her, touching his cheek that was now red from the slap, Salazar just laughed. I see nothing righteous about your attitude Rowena, you changed, you aren't the girl I met in our teenage years, you've become arrogant, sure of your own power. Not even caring about your dead husband now, when was the last time you visited his grave?" Salazar said, looking at her a bit more darkly then usual, he sighed calmly.
" You haven't visited him for quite a while, only the daughter keeps seeing him, putting flowers in his grave, even I show my respects to his grave, you.. don't you forgot all about him." Salazar said, looking away calmly, he preferred a calmer Rowena, one that wasn't arrogant, that's what he liked about her in the past, but now, now he could see her arrogance, no wonder she wasn't strong against her obsessive fan. "Viktor is right, even though I don't trust the student he is right, you're too arrogant to care for people, for your own students, you're not the Rowena I knew, you're just someone else.

Rowena just looked at Salazar, regretting that she hadn't slapped him harder. He deserved that... When he started to laugh, Rowena had the urge to pull her wand out and curse him. Still, she took a few deep breaths to calm herself down, wanting to prove Salazar that she had control over the situation... or maybe to prove that to herself? "Yes, so I've changed, Salazar and so have you, because people do change. Some events make you into something you don't want or like, but you have no choice, because that's life." Her voice was calmer than before, but shaking with emotions. Rowena turned away from Salazar, without answering to his provocations. "Please, don't follow me!" Rowena straightened up a bit and started walking towards the castle.
