Cornictacus' injuries were healed though he was still wearing some bandages, he could sometimes feel the pain, he stared at the wall motionless, sometimes he was wondering.. or rather thinking about this relationship with Helga, he loved her yes, but he always waited, and was he happy with waiting? He didn't seem that way, he sighed, maybe it was time to have a serious talk with his fiancee, he kept looking away, wondering when she'd be here, he did send an owl after all, he wasn't sure if the letter reached her and he hoped she wasn't in class, he knew that the students were important for her.. they seemed even more important than himself.

"Who can tell me what are the properties of Arctus Mandibus?" asked Helga. Morgana's hand shot in the air. Helga looked at the second year Ravenclaw and said, "Yes Miss Gaunt?" Meggy jumped to her feet and said, "Arctus Mandibus is a herbal curing plant. It was discovered by the Italian Maestro Raparelli 10 years ago." Helga nodded and said, "Excellent Miss Gaunt. Twenty points for your answer." Morgana tried a bright red and sat down looking pleased with herself.
Helga gave the students her back and started tracing the outline of the plant on the board while saying, "In next week's practical class we will be seeing how the plant works on various animals. A good friend of mine, who is an animal healer, offered to bring us some of his patients. You will obviously be supervised the whole time and he will be available for questions, for those of you wishing to learn his trade." The drawing was finally finished and Helga moved to the side so that the students could have a better look.
All of a sudden Cornictacus's owl swooped inside the classroom. It dropped the note on Helga's desk and left. Helga eyed the note curiously, but decided to read it when class was over. Half an hour later after all the students had filed out of the room, Helga picked the note and read it. It only said to meet her fiance in their Scotland house. Since she had no more classes scheduled for the day, Helga went to tell her follow founders she would be going home.
Before leaving she went to her quarters and changed out of her teaching robes. Helga packed a small bag with some essays to correct and walked out of the castle. When she was standing outside the gates, Helga apparated inside her house. She placed her bag by the door and removed her travelling cloak. "Cornictacus? I am home. Where are you?" While she waited for his reply, Helga wondered inside the room towards the living room.

Cornictacus waited, it seemed like he sent the owl at a bad moment, if she wasn't home fast it usually meant she was giving her class, he sighed, going toward the kitchen to cook some food, he knew he shouldn't be doing this but he can't always let his fiancee do the job of cooking once she got back, he knew she'd probably be exhausted well he hoped she would, he sighed. Did she even care about the baby or just those kids and had no care about her own infant nor her fiancee, how long would he wait until they could get married, it seemed she didn't even rush to see her parents to bring them the news, it felt like she was avoiding marriage.
Cornictacus sighed until he heard her, she finally arrived, when he finished cooking some food, he remained silent for a while, baking some bread. "Je suis dans la cuisine cherie" He said, watching after the bread, with a flick of his wand he made dishes fly on the table, everything should be ready soon.
French Translation: -"I'm in the kitchen honey."

Helga had barely reached the living room when she heard Cornictacus's reply. She turned her head towards the kitchen and remained immobile for several seconds. Helga passed a hand through her blonde curls and forced a smile on her tired face. She was still having trouble sleeping and wondered if she should ask Salazar to make a potion to help her. The young woman stepped inside the kitchen and her eyes instantly found Cornictacus. She allowed her eyes wondered around the room and felt annoyed at the mess he had created. She sighed softly to herself and said, "The food smells wonderful." Helga walked up to him and kissed his forehead. She pulled back the sleeves of her robes and started clearing the room. After some minutes of silence she asked, "Are you feeling any better today?"

Cornictacus looked at her, taking out the bread and eventually putting the food on the plates, he looked at her calmly, a bit annoyed that she cleaned the kitchen herself, he could of done that, he wasn't weak, he sighed but approached her and kissed her on the cheek. "Oui. I'm feeling a lot better." Cornictacus said, as he smiled at her, he was feeling good but mostly wondering about their relationship, he kept looking at her calmly, pulling the chair for her.

She stiffened when she felt his lips brush against her cheek. Helga scolded herself for her behaviour; this was not right but she couldn't help it. Helga busied herself with clearing the room and she did not stop when Cornictacus served the food or pull out the chair for her. Helga could feel his eyes on her and she shrugged her shoulders in discomfort. She dropped the plates she had been carrying in the washing basin and turned around. Her eyes shifted from Cornictacus to the food. Helga pushed herself from against the wash basin and made her way slowly towards the table. She sat down in silence and looked at him solemnly. "Thank you for taking care of dinner," she said formally.

Cornictacus didn't really like seeing her do this, he looked away calmly, and just nodded when she thanked him, he walked toward the seat in front of her, pulling it and sitting on it, he looked at the food, taking a bite slowly and chewing, he was really silent and kept looking away, he put the fork back and just looked away silently, he then looked up at her. "We need to talk...about us."

As he sit down in front of her, Helga stared down at the food. She finally picked her fork and started started toying with the food. Helga watched Cornictacus from underneath her eye lashes. He looked like something was troubling him. She knew she should ask him what was wrong, but Helga could not bring herself to. The young woman froze at his words. The fork dropped from her hands and she looked up, her green eyes widely open and almost fearful. She cleared her throat and leaned back against the chair. All she could offer in response to his words was a small nod.

Cornictacus looked at her, the way she reacted, was she fearful or just avoiding him? He had no idea he just sighed looking down at his plate, then back at her. "After this injury I just kept thinking.. and thinking... I don't know anymore, I don't even know if you love me, you are always according more importance to the students.. what about me... what about our child, when will we even marry, when will you tell your parents? Are you just avoiding it, or not even planning on going through with that promise.."

Her face appeared to become paler with every question he asked. Her eyes welled with tears and she said, "How can you even say that? Of course I love you Cornictacus." She looked away and took a deep breath. When he started attacking her students she became defensive and replied, "Don't be silly. You know I have to do my job. You never hear me grumble about your adventures, even if they worry me sick." She hesitated and did not say anything with regards to the child. However, her hand started rubbing her 5 month bulge. "We will marry... eventually. This is just a bad time. I have Hogwarts to worry about and you need to build your shop from scratch." She shook her head and said in a stronger voice, "This is not a good time for that. And my father is sick. He's weak. I cannot give him any more sad news." The moment the last words were out of her mouth, she realised they were a mistake.

Maybe he was being unfair to her, as he listened to her, it's true she didn't say anything about his adventures, it wasn't fair of him to talk about her students, he knew what he was getting himself into with being engaged to one of the most talented witches of his time, he was about to say he was sorry until he heard her last reply, he opened his mouth but closed them, he remained silent but he was indeed furious, tears on his eyes, he looked away. "So... being pregnant with my child is a sad news... wanting to marry me is sad news as well? Is that what it is, am I such a low person in your eyes, you afraid that you'll give life to a child who is inferior to you and your heritage.." Cornictacus said, his voice was rather sad, a bit angry but mostly sad, as he got up, looking down on his plate, he lost his appetite and just left the kitchen without saying anything else.

Helga looked at Cornictacus desperately. While he spoke she begged him to listen but he wouldn't. She watched him storm out of the kitchen and she remained motionless for several seconds. Her first instinct was to distract herself by clearing the room, but she knew not going after him could be a mistake. Helga reluctantly stood up and followed him inside the living room. She stood by the doorway and said in a strangled voice. "They know we're engaged. And they are happy. Because I love you and they all think you are an amazing man." She paused and looked away. "This child is sad news. It means we have not respected tradition. The child will be born out of wedlock and people will look down at him with scorn." Helga rested her head against the doorway and added in a strangled voice, "I always wanted your child, but you tricked me into having this one."

Cornictacus listened to her as he was in the living room, he didn't even think she'd follow after him, he just listened eventually walking toward his room. "I wanted the baby more than anything, what was I going to do.. wait a couple of years before you finally decided it was the right time for a marriage to have a kid? Your students were more important, the only reason you think it's sad news isn't the wedlock, it's the fact that you think you'll have to look after a kid, that you probably consider worthless because he will take most of your time, you'll be more busy with him than at your job." He said, when he arrived at his room, first thing he did was summon his luggage, where he ended up putting his clothes in it. "I haven't tricked you, I did it out of love, because I wanted a family with you, if I waited, what would of happened? Wait ten years, or twenty perhaps all because of your job as a founder, when I proposed to you I knew what I was getting myself into, I do want you to keep your job and be with your students but I still thought you wouldn't have such a problem for a kid.. and wedding."

His words left her speechless. Helga did not think he was right or being fair to her. The school had not been open for long and she was not ready to let go off it. She loved Cornictacus. She wanted to marry him and have many children with him... but not yet. They were still young; they had the time to build the family. As he climbed up the stairs she shouted almost hysterically, "I would never consider our child worthless. I would love giving him my every waking hour. But this is not the right time for a child to be born." When he didn't reply. She ran upstairs and joined him in his room. Her eyes widened when she saw the open luggage and grew frantic when he started throwing clothes inside it. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Cornictacus answer me. Why are you packing your clothes?" her words sounded more slurred and hysterical then before.

Cornictacus listened to her but he didn't reply back, he didn't know if he was being unfair to her, he didn't know if what he was doing was right, he sighed still putting more clothes, he heard footsteps and her asking him a question, he kept putting some clothes in, not answering for a while, remaining silent, he then closed the luggage, tears running down his eyes. "I need some time alone..."
